  1. Love me some Chris Tomer YouTube videos. He is a local weather guy and avid outdoorsman who is always skiing, hiking etc. He spins his forecasts for outdoor activities and tells you weather at different elevations which is super helpful here. Kinda hard to see from this screen shot but CB looking to get 14” by Sat evening! Town is really dry, I could actually see asphalt on the road. I don’t think that has ever happened in winter before (that I have witnessed) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah I thought I posted it to Skison thread oops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Heading to Crested Butte tomorrow. My gear pile is nice and manageable. Usually I am packing for multiple sports but this time just focusing on skiing. Debated on bringing my touring setup but backcountry snow conditions are still iffy and I will be solo most of the time. Gonna be gone 3 weeks with a detour to Telluride. Reports to follow. 4. Trying to stay uninjured. They are compression sleeves for your legs. They work progressively from the foot upward to help get the lactic acid moving. Basically if your legs feel like bricks after a hard workout, you use these for 30 min and they feel much lighter and less sore. So you can recover more quickly and do more challenging workouts in your weekly schedule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Anybody ever try these? Decided to treat myself and buy a pair. Have used them 4xs this week. They are amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I didn’t scold anyone because the non mask wearers weren’t even trying. Like not even a mask on their chin. The liftees were talking/scanning them and didn’t even say anything. And yeah, I would wait a bit the snow is so low Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Went to Keystone today; very cold 3 degrees when we got there so no pics. Conditions were not great, we really need some fresh snow. Avalanches reported today on Jones Pass and Loveland Pass. Nobody injured but SAR dispatched for both. Snowpack is low but very unstable. A douchebag plowed my friend down while she was skiing. Came up behind her and just knocked her over, he got up and took off without a word. It’s a weird crowd at Keystone, lots of sports jerseys for jackets, lots of unmasked people in the lift lines. 8. Why would you rent skis and not just bring your own? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Another good dog park sunrise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I recently cut a new pair of skins, the first 2 cuts were a bit sloppy. By the second ski I got the hang of it. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I agree with this. My friend bought a XC setup March of last year. The shop was out of just about everything and she had to order it. Took so long to come in she didn’t even get to use it last season. My setup is probably over 20 years old. I did a XC class I believe thru that environmental center you guys went to. Thought it was fun and bought a setup in the Pocs on an end of season deal. It’s good enough for the 3 or so times per year I get out and use it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Damn 3 people died in avalanches this weekend. One in CB Friday and body recovery for 2 more off Ophir Pass near Silverton. Bad start to the season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Loading up the car I see this dad w a Santa hat sledding his kids to school. Gotta love Crested Butte. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. A-Fucking-mazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Pic from top of Paradise taken yesterday. Today was overcast and really cold. We didn’t stay out long, in the single digits. Overall good snow and coverage just wish they had a bit more open. I know it’s just that kind of slow start to the season. Mid December is such a great time to be here before the crowds roll in. Never had to wait for a bus because it was too crowded. They only allow 15 on per bus. Here are my beauties all mounted. I freaking love them! Probably do a snowshoe tomorrow before we head out to tire out my dog for the drive home. I always hate to leave this place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah I was rocking that leopard! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. When one leopard skin accessory isn’t enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Guy on the shuttle bus yesterday was wearing one of those neoprene face masks that cover the top of your nose but your nostrils are out and holes in the mouth. How does he think that counts?
  19. Absolutely loved these Black Crow Camox Birdie’s. They are being mounted as we speak. Took@JFskiDan ‘s advice and got the Pivot look 12 bindings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I think they limited ticket sales but if you had an Ikon Pass you could just show up.
  21. Chai, fire, slippers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Just read Winter Park moving to a reservation system starting Friday. They had to know this would happen.
  23. Great day here started out cold 8 degrees when we got to the mountain under cloudy skies. Stuck with my friend on the greens first few runs then I headed over to Paradise Bowl. After 3 runs in flat light I tried to head down to East River lift but it was closed to I had to take slow ass Teocali back up then down to the base area. They had closed Silver Queen for a bit so Res Lady had long lines. As luck would have it I saw my friend so we decided to have lunch early. Went back out and Silver Queen back opened so I just stayed in the front side with her and found some fun little trees and some Ungroomed stuff. Set up my demos for tomorrow. The ones I have been wanting to try are like the unicorn of skis can’t find them anywhere. Rossignol rally bird black ops. They always have them in a 170 which is too long for me. So I am going to try the Black Crow Camox Birdie’s tomorrow with a few others. Read good things about the Black Crows. Fun little ungroomed run for@indiggio Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Gonna be a powder day 5” overnight!
