  1. Ha! I would never wear it. But you are sweet for asking if I am a size small, those days are long past.
  2. Yes, a luxury to boot up at the house! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I think there is a free lot but the shuttle is a 5 min walk for me so it’s just easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nobody I have met here calls it that. Actually nobody in Colorado I have ever talked to calls it that.
  5. Skied with my neighbor this morning. She not only skis every day, she skins the resort before opening M-F. Let’s just say she is in fantastic shape. She showed me some great little tree stashes that I need to try again. Only took one pic because I had to try and just keep up with her through the trees and bumps. She makes it look effortless. Light real flat again today, tomorrow supposed to be sunny, can’t wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Snow was glorious today! Just tried to stick to as many ungroomed/bump/tree runs as I could find. Except for Paradise bowl! Always have to take my first warm up run down there. Only a few pics, light kinda flat so bumps not real visible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Looks great! I aspire to be one of those badass grandma’s when I am older.
  8. Yeah I knew I would hear shit for that but honestly my old eyes are getting so bad that I really can’t see when visibility is bad. No depth perception, may even look into those prescription goggles for days like that.
  9. Yeah it snowed but visibility was terrible and my friends didn’t want to buy day tickets so we snowshoed instead. I def think skinning is so much more efficient. Snowshoeing wears you out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah in line waiting for the rope to drop the people in front of me were scanned but did not have a reservation. Liftee was totally cool and said, “You have 5 minutes just go on your phone and make a reservation now.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Took that pic just for you. 💕
  12. First off, Doug, this is the Crested Butte thread. I don’t want to hear about Jackson Hole here. On to the snow....crowds were non existent as is usual for a non holiday weekday here. My first run as I was traversing over to Paradise Lift, I got into my head a bit and realized these were the exact conditions when I fell last season and got my concussion. On the head wall where I fell I was very cautious, bad energy. did 3 laps on Paradise and the snow was great! Took a different way down each time and was able to find some bumps on every run. By the third lap fog had rolled in and visibility was pea soup so I headed down to East River lift. First run was on Black Eagle and 1/2 way down there were some big bumps to navigate but they were nice and soft so it wasn’t too bad. Did a few more over there and headed back past the Paradise Lift to the Teocalli. Wanted to hit Buschwack as it wasn’t opens last time I was here. The bumps there are good size for me to practice on. Did 2 laps on that and headed back to the front side doing a bit of light trees where I could find them. Should snow all day through tonight. Have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a shit show.
  13. 21 degrees and feels so warm I regret my mid layer. 10 min to lifts opening. 2 guys in the shuttle had no masks and were getting there stink eye from every single person. WTF do certain people think they are special and don’t have to follow the rules? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Wish you guys were here!
  15. 3” overnight and currently snowing on the mountain. Gonna be a fun day!
  16. Love me some Chris Tomer YouTube videos. He is a local weather guy and avid outdoorsman who is always skiing, hiking etc. He spins his forecasts for outdoor activities and tells you weather at different elevations which is super helpful here. Kinda hard to see from this screen shot but CB looking to get 14” by Sat evening! Town is really dry, I could actually see asphalt on the road. I don’t think that has ever happened in winter before (that I have witnessed) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah I thought I posted it to Skison thread oops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Heading to Crested Butte tomorrow. My gear pile is nice and manageable. Usually I am packing for multiple sports but this time just focusing on skiing. Debated on bringing my touring setup but backcountry snow conditions are still iffy and I will be solo most of the time. Gonna be gone 3 weeks with a detour to Telluride. Reports to follow. 19. Trying to stay uninjured. They are compression sleeves for your legs. They work progressively from the foot upward to help get the lactic acid moving. Basically if your legs feel like bricks after a hard workout, you use these for 30 min and they feel much lighter and less sore. So you can recover more quickly and do more challenging workouts in your weekly schedule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Anybody ever try these? Decided to treat myself and buy a pair. Have used them 4xs this week. They are amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I didn’t scold anyone because the non mask wearers weren’t even trying. Like not even a mask on their chin. The liftees were talking/scanning them and didn’t even say anything. And yeah, I would wait a bit the snow is so low Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Went to Keystone today; very cold 3 degrees when we got there so no pics. Conditions were not great, we really need some fresh snow. Avalanches reported today on Jones Pass and Loveland Pass. Nobody injured but SAR dispatched for both. Snowpack is low but very unstable. A douchebag plowed my friend down while she was skiing. Came up behind her and just knocked her over, he got up and took off without a word. It’s a weird crowd at Keystone, lots of sports jerseys for jackets, lots of unmasked people in the lift lines. 23. Why would you rent skis and not just bring your own? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Another good dog park sunrise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I recently cut a new pair of skins, the first 2 cuts were a bit sloppy. By the second ski I got the hang of it. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
