Cases in Boulder are spiking again. They traced it back to several large Cu graduation parties. Now they issued an executive order that they will crack down on the 12 CU houses (mostly frat houses) that are constantly throwing parties and disregarding all protocols.

That is a great idea, I am going to look into it thank you!

Remove the “blebs” and then fuse lung to chest cavity. Said he would be in hospital 4 days. For some reason he is concerned w scars. I told him I not a tattoo person by any stretch but he could get some cool tattoos over the scars if he was that grossed out by them. There is no urgency to surgery but the blebs will continue to rupture until they are removed. He was singing loud n his car to the radio and that is what popped one..... crazy. I admit Live PD was our guilty pleasure to watch. I especially liked the episodes with "Dirty Rhonda" she seemed to always be in trouble.

So my youngest all of a sudden had a "spontaneous pneumothorax"(collapsed lung). Apparently it is a common thing with young, tall, thin males. It was a fun ER experience with the whole Covid situation and since he is technically an adult, the doctors would not only not speak to me, but I had to wait in my car for 3 hours. He needs surgery and I am trying to talk him into getting it sooner rather then later. But goddammit!!!!!!! way to have respiratory issues during a Covid pandemic.

That is such a great picture!!

Boulder county reported all hospitalized Covid patients are discharged and we had 11 new cases. So doing pretty good here.

Thanks I had not seen that yet, figured it would be soon. Kudos to them for opening, I am sure they lost money. It was a nice gesture.

From all reports looks like Abasin melting out fast. Rumor has it June 7th-ish will be it. Been a real hot spring here so far, all the snow up high is going.

I have no problem with masks in stores but Boulder county requires masks outside too. I wear a buff and when someone passes on a tight trail I put it up. But when walking my dog around my neighborhood when I can easily cross the street it’s annoying. Like the other day when a masked women was on the other side of the street she yelled at me for not pulling up my buff when I passed her....ACROSS THE STREET. Some people just like to argue I think. Se e lots of people alone in their cars with masks and walking down an empty street with a mask, kind of overkill.

Abasin’s reservation system crashed. Had a feeling that would happen. People going nuts on FB bitching, I mean just be happy they are reopening. 600 reservations able to be taken per day and only 30 of those are non-Pass holder tickets to purchase. It is pretty cool of them to reopen since they will be making zero money on passholders.

Yeah, snowpack here going fast. We have had a lot of 80’s low 90’s days here already. I am really out of ski mindset but would also kind of like to get one more downhill day in so I don’t end my season on a concussion.

Abasin reopening on Wednesday. There will be a reservation system and they will sell a limited number of spots and no tailgating. I am going to see how it plays out and might possibly try to get a reservation after a few weeks when things die down.

Can’t wait to get down there in June. They are allowing 2nd homeowners now but you have to notify the town and self isolate for 7 days. Limited STR and hotels allowed 5/27. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PA CO JFBb Winter Park Blue Abasin Camelback Telluride Split Rock Copper VERMONT Crested Butte Stratton Eldora Bromley Loveland NY/NJ Vail Hunter Beaver Creek Vernon Valley/Great Gorge To be honest I don’t have any bucket list places I want to do. Goals are more to get better in the backcountry and expand the terrain I can handle there @RidgeRacer next season you will have ticked Telluride off your list and glad to see CB is on you favorite list!

Dog parks opening here tomorrow! Finally some good news! Took my dog to the vet today since he was due for some vaccinations. He has gained 11 lbs since October. I told my husband he needs to stop all the table scraps, Jesus!

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/vail-resorts-provides-update-on-season-pass-plans-for-the-20202021-north-american-ski-season-301047362.html?fbclid=IwAR0QPQENbgr1oHLSC9yi12uRbjEPosKL5jHH00TiNst7uKaA2WbWBG5kou0 Vail released a statement about passes. I think it’s pretty fair. Basically says they will give 20% credit towards next year’s pass. If you have used your pass less than 5xs they will give you up to 80% credit. Plus free ‘insurance’ if something happens to shorten next year’s season.

Boulder just extended their stay at home order until 5/8. Guess I am not getting my haircut now, dammit!
-
I recently read Aspen said it would continue to groom all 4 resorts through May for uphill access, which is pretty cool.
-
So our governor outlined new policies that allow things to begin opening 4/27-5/1. Nothing is clear in what he outlined. Now Denver just extended its stay at home order to 5/8. Boulder has not issued any new updates on its website. It is frustrating, really want my freaking haircut.
