  1. Looks real good! Have to get out to Steamboat one of these days.
  2. You are right! That makes them sound more delicious!
  3. I don’t think I could stomach eating one peep let alone 5.
  4. I have never been but heard the access road to get there is rough in winter and 4WD is recommended. FYI.
  5. Found this awesome off grid yurt in Marble for rent. When I sent the link to my friend of course she said we have to check it out immediately. Heading there early March for a few days. Don’t have to skin in, 4WD road and park right in front. Marble has some good secluded backcountry ski spots I am looking forward to checking out. I have only been to Marble in summer, but it is such a cool little area. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I’ll check out backcountry babes thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I think it’s an interesting idea. More and more people wanting to get into the sport. Looks ideal for someone new to try out their gear and see how they like it. But dangerous in the sense that the same person then thinks they have all the knowledge and goes out in more dangerous terrain with no education. I personally wish I could find a mentor to take me to some new places and learn some more. Seems like around here people fall into 2 category’s; new (like me) or very seasoned and not wanting to take the time to babysit someone (which I completely understand). 8. Tried a new route today, the wind sucked ass! This spot is where we popped out of the trees. We’re aiming for the hump but with the wind and snow conditions which were shit due to the wind, we turned around. Access road sketchy, glad I borrowed husband’s Jeep. Saw a few people having a very bad day, stuck HARD. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Snowing a lot here in town, seems like 4-6” a day. Since I got my dreaded air cast boot back on last week my dog is not pleased since I can’t walk him in the snow. Tried a variety of plastic bags and trash bags over the boot which all rip after a few minutes. Plus I slide all over the place. Thankfully doctor said I am still allowed to ski.
  10. Eldora is great today! Another 7” overnight, some fresh stashes and everything is choppy. But since I am fresh off taking a bump clinic last weekend the chop seems easier...and fun! Taking a break after 6 ungroomed runs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Can’t wait!
  12. I just noticed that @Ride Delaware ? had a long stretch of ski days in Colorado including Crested Butte. No trip reports or pictures?! Boo
  13. Snow totals from this storm. Saw it took 6 hours yesterday to get from Denver to the tunnel. Tried to see I70 closures today and CDOT website appears to be crashed. A friend texted me at 5:15 that she was gonna try and make it to Abasin. Curious to hear about her drive later. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Loveland just announced they will not open today due to high winds
  15. Yeah, not appealing to me. Seen reports of 30-50mph winds too. No thanks.
  16. Mountain forecast is snow 13 out of the next 14 days. I70 And Berthoud Pass already closed for avalanche mitigation. I will probably get out there during the week when things settle down. edit-Breck cam showing 22”
  17. Ok I see your point but what about you are allowed X pounds for free, body weight and luggage. And over that fees occur. Not fair that a 300lb person and a 110lb person get the same allotted weight for bags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Exactly! My very thin friend recently had to take 3 lbs out of her bag. While I am sure the person behind her weighed 60+ lbs more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They should start charging by the pound of the passenger for a ticket. I am so sick of sitting next to people who are too large and spill over into my seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Come out and visit me fool!
  21. Finally getting some snow here!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I know it’s depressing. Local news keeps saying this is driest January since 2003 (I think). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Had a long tour planned at a new to us location of about 7 miles RT. The wind and the cold just totally beat us down and we only ended up doing 3. Oh and we need some snow out here bad!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Good we need more females here.
  25. Few Topo pics; McMillan Peak circled, blue line is RT 550 (road up to red mountain pass) pin is where avalanche death occurred previous day. Cal Topo map with slope angle shading. West side of McMillan is relatively safe. East side very avalanche prone and all the way down east side is Silverton ski area. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
