  1. I just noticed that @Ride Delaware ? had a long stretch of ski days in Colorado including Crested Butte. No trip reports or pictures?! Boo
  2. Snow totals from this storm. Saw it took 6 hours yesterday to get from Denver to the tunnel. Tried to see I70 closures today and CDOT website appears to be crashed. A friend texted me at 5:15 that she was gonna try and make it to Abasin. Curious to hear about her drive later. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Loveland just announced they will not open today due to high winds
  4. Yeah, not appealing to me. Seen reports of 30-50mph winds too. No thanks.
  5. Mountain forecast is snow 13 out of the next 14 days. I70 And Berthoud Pass already closed for avalanche mitigation. I will probably get out there during the week when things settle down. edit-Breck cam showing 22”
  6. Ok I see your point but what about you are allowed X pounds for free, body weight and luggage. And over that fees occur. Not fair that a 300lb person and a 110lb person get the same allotted weight for bags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Exactly! My very thin friend recently had to take 3 lbs out of her bag. While I am sure the person behind her weighed 60+ lbs more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They should start charging by the pound of the passenger for a ticket. I am so sick of sitting next to people who are too large and spill over into my seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Come out and visit me fool!
  10. Finally getting some snow here!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I know it’s depressing. Local news keeps saying this is driest January since 2003 (I think). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Had a long tour planned at a new to us location of about 7 miles RT. The wind and the cold just totally beat us down and we only ended up doing 3. Oh and we need some snow out here bad!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good we need more females here.
  14. Few Topo pics; McMillan Peak circled, blue line is RT 550 (road up to red mountain pass) pin is where avalanche death occurred previous day. Cal Topo map with slope angle shading. West side of McMillan is relatively safe. East side very avalanche prone and all the way down east side is Silverton ski area. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Beautiful pictures
  16. It is a lodge and a hut next door. We already googled renting space at the hut. $180 per night for 6 people max, short skin in. Here is a link to the lodge. we tried to check them out but the guy in charge was dealing with guests and said we couldn’t go in. https://www.skimag.com/uncategorized/st-paul-lodge-co
  17. I have no idea, I don’t even notice it when I am with her.
  18. @RidgeRacer now if only I could rip down that line........
  19. Our ice climbing guide filled us in about a good ski tour off red mountain pass. She said it was about a 45 min skin in so we thought it was relatively short. She must be super human because by the time we reached the top it was just under 2.5 miles and about 1600’ elevation gain. Gorgeous weather, but cold. Will let the pictures speak for themselves. This is the area people lap, one was enough for us today. Really nice snow conditions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. https://www.ouraynews.com/news/ice-climber-killed-avalanche-south-ouray Not part of the ice park but very close by. Happened yesterday, incredibly sad. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. This year we opted for a private guide and arrived in Ouray a week before the Ice Festival. Kind of nice how quiet it was. Starting our hike in. Our climbing area. My friend Shannon always kills it. My friend Natalie is an incredibly fast climber. Here is me totally stressed that I can hardly keep up with her pace belaying her. The climb out, always feel steep. 22. No. Didn’t want to drive or pay for Telluride. We have a place in mind to backcountry ski, but it’s on a pass and we didn’t want to go with no visibility not knowing the area. Hopefully things will clear up and we will do that a Sunday.
  23. Zero visibility. There are mountains here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Short hike before we left Crested Butte this morning. As soon as I stepped off the packed down trail to take a picture I sank. Weather supposed to be pretty bad tomorrow. Lots of wind with the snow so not sure what our day looking like. Ice climbing Saturday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. For Jeff Not nice enough to sit outside, was cold and windy all day. Good snow conditions, about 3” overnight. Ended up getting new boots at lunch so I missed about an hour of the day but the feel sooooooo much better. Supposed to be another 3-6 tonight into tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
