Epic Pass prices announced. I really hoped they would allow spring access this year for new pass holders. Of course that is not the case. Think I am going to have to buy Ikon and Epic for next season. Wish there was a way to get Crested Butte and Eldora on the same pass. Epic local-$699 ikon base-$649 when I think about how I paid $500 for a JFBB Pass 8 years ago, the price doesn’t sting as much.

Interesting read. Been hearing rumblings about the same issues at Crested Butte. Wonder when they will announce Epic Pass prices. Ikon goes on sale 3/5 and I am sure people want to compare the two before they commit. I may just break down and get both passes so I can have unlimited Crested Butte next season. But I guess 8 should take this discussion to ski2 live thread of which pass should I get?

Copper on it but no spring (this year) access. Website has limited info. Does not specify how many days at each mountain so not sure how many JH days. Base pass is $649

@GrilledSteezeSandwich ikon pass goes on sale 3/5. Spring skiing available at Winter Park after 4/8. In case you were buying an Ikon for Jackson Hole next year, you can get days in when you come to CO in April

Pa (and CO) and prob other states offer a 6th grade ski pass that enables several free visits to local mountains for kids in 6th grade. Hoping that they will fall in love with skiing, then want to continue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found a new to me used gear shop with tons of stock. These get great reviews and 2 of my friends have them and love them. Have to take them to the bootfitter and get new inserts as ones that are in there now are custom and don’t fit my feet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree. The new term around here is “frangers.” Front range people that invade ski areas. People in Crested Butte seem to be pissed about this since they joined Epic. I think people need to get over it to a degree. No place strays the same forever, and resorts need to make money. So since I live on the Front Range I am an asshole if I drive anywhere and want to ski.

Was just reading a thread on Teton gravity about how pissed locals are about the Ikon Pass. Especially in Jackson Hole.

A 20 year old died at Aspen yesterday. Terrain park, no helmet. Years ago my brother had an incident at Big Boulder. People found him unconscious and his helmet had a hole in in and was beat to shit. To this day he has no idea what happened but spent almost a week in the hospital. Pretty sure he would have died without that helmet.
