haha...love this comment. Luckily the hair is less frizzy since I moved out west.

Epic local pass prices only good thru today 9/3. You can pick one up at Boulder Ski Deals on Arapahoe. And yeah, I'd meet up with you.
-
You'll love it out here.

No clue. Heading to Winter Park this weekend just to relax. I think their opening is set for 11/22. I'll check out the base and see if anything is going on.

Just got an email saying Copper is opening Nov 2nd.

Sno Mountain Season Prices announced! Good $200 Deal!
Barb replied to KCSKI's topic in Montage Mountain
Co prices are rediculously cheap compared to Pa. I pd $419 for a rocky mountain super pass + which is unlimited Winter Park/Copper and six days at Steamboat. -
Ridgway State Park Ouray to Silverton on the motorcycle. Views are amazing, pictures don't do it justice

Congrats Moe, place looks great. I forgot how green grass can look. Color of grass out here is a yellowish brown.

I don't think you are human. You hiked Torrey's then went on a 16 mile mt bike ride? Yes, post pics. I've read about Centennial cone. Not super challenging but the length makes it a blue trail (from what I read). I've been sticking to the trails near my house. Found a nice loop off Eagle-to Lefthand into Niwot then back down 55th. Nothing technical at all but scenic 10 mile loop.

I know, I had to wait a good 10 minutes before I could even try to climb up. Before I took that pic there were double the amount of people up there. But what did I expect.....it is Saturday.

Second attempt at Bear Peak from another route. Finally made it to the top. But this route was longer, 8.4 miles and completely kicked my ass. Views from the top are amazing. Last rock scramble to get to the top

Boys are outside with their glasses they handed out in school trying to see something. Unfortunately too cloudy.

Husband had a rare day off. Took a ride up Lefthand canyon on the bike. Still can't believe this stuff is right in our backyard. http://

We are thinking about moto gp for next year. While my husband has always been a huge fan, son just started getting into it recently. Husband has to bid on his vacation time in Jan for the next year so he can't get the time off this summer. But next summer driving the motorhome to Ca for gp and some touristy stuff sounds good to me.

Timless- was looking into the Monteray Bay area because husband and son were thinking of going to see the moto gp race there. Their tourism website pretty much has those exact pictures you posted of the kayaking. Looks fun.

Bear Peak. Wanted to do this hike for a while. There are several routes and the shortest (7 miles) is also the steepest. Top elevation is 8400'. This picture was taken from a false summit. Bought an altimeter at REI with my rebate and that's the only reason I knew I wasn't at the top. My ass was kicked at this point 7800' but wanted to try for the top. The further I went the steeper it got until you were actually bouldering. I crapped out at 8000' and called it a day. Next time I will get to the top, maybe taking the less steep route. Think maybe just a 4 pack or two. I think I will be using my place at Winter Park a lot more next winter. Day trips are a pain. But we are renting a place in Frisco 3/23-3/29 and planning on going to Loveland that Mon. Do you still ski weekdays?
-
Just have to comment on how cheap the prices are out here for season passes. I just picked up one of these good for Winter Park/Mary Jane/Copper unlimited usage plus 6 unrestricted days at Steamboat. Price is $419. Price for JFBB is $489.

How many kids are you up to now?

Ok I know its not snow. Jordan is the man for getting out there, but I can't think of snow since the weather here is so nice. First-second flatiron trail today. This is where I took my first break. Met a guy from Tennessee who was visiting from grad school. Talked to him for a few. Then he told me he was in grad school studying religious studies and asked me where I went to church. Time to keep moving. The top The route

The lift tickets are pricey but if you are going to ski more than 4-5 days at any Vail resort the Epic pass is a great deal. I wouldn't get one for myself because I just don't see using it, but my son definitely got his (my) money's worth. He seems to get invited up there every other weekend by friends. I really do like Loveland. Gonna be hard to give up my pass there next year when I start going to WP. I may have to get a Loveland pass too.

Just got an email that my son's epic pass is now good at Kirkwood. Guess they belong to Vail now.

Hiked Sanitas yesterday on a beautiful Colorado morning.

So glad you guys are having a good trip. It's gonna be hard to go back to JF after that.
