  1. Nice report. I have a winter rental at snow ridge village that I checked into this afternoon. It was a shitshow around here for sure. I think I may be able to walk over to the green trails from this townhouse. Looking forward to tomorrow.
  2. I am sure I saw you because I was on tbolt all day (just came in). I got new bindings and they mounted them slightly different and I felt a little shaky all day. Say hi if you see me tomorrow. I am hard to miss...the only woman in her 30s snowboarding slow.
  3. Just wanted to say thanks for responding to my question and trying to help. The boots have rivets that attatch them and even the local ski shop couldn't do much with them. It's not too bad. I think he can get through the season with them.
  4. I like Bromley, it has a completely relaxed atmosphere. And its usually much less crowded than Stratton. Also nice that all the trails lead to the lodge so you don't lose your kids. Nice pics
  5. Cold day. I saw Dan and someone else (maybe C1er) in Challenge glades and I was yelling from the lift but no one heard me. Another empty day, I didn't share a lift all morning either. I miss my boot dryer, my toes were frozen by 10:30.
  6. Great day on the snow. The place was empty!! Stephen and his friend got yelled at by ski patrol for going too fast down thunderbolt. And here is a dumb question (only becayse I have never done this). How do you tighten a buckle on a ski boot? Is this something I can do myself or do I need to bring it to a shop?
  7. About an inch in Avalon and still snowing.
  8. Moe you are hard core with the car camping. No way I could handle sleeping in a car in those temps.
  9. Nice pics. I love how you say you are "stuck in Europe." I can think of worse places to be.
  10. http://www.quiksilver.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10849381 Just got this for my kid for Christmas. Finally I will be able to spot him anywhere on the mountain.

  12. My blackberry is 2 years old, ancient, not one of the new ones. But thanks
  13. Cool app. Not available on my blackberry but downloaded to my ipod touch. I'm sure this will be useless since I won't have wifi while riding. But when I went to put in a user name and password to join it just keeps bumping me out of the app back to my home screen.
  14. Have a great time! We went to Germany in 2003. My husband still has family over there. Garmish was my favorite part of the trip. Such a beautiful city.
  15. No, forget the name of the guy. But Miner built my neighbor's house.
  16. I am heading to Boulder Colorado. Also, when your kid is old enough get him into the race program at JFBB. I can't say enough positive things about it. I think you can start them as young as 5, which I know is a few years off for you. The first year he was in the program he had a young female instructor. He told me he wanted to marry her "because she's pretty and we both love skiing." He blushed whenever he was around her, it was so cute.
  17. poc-that is awesome!
  18. If I had my way, I'd be on a plane tomorrow. Unfortunately I still have crap to wrap up here. Selling off your life and wrapping up the loose ends apparantly takes longer than I thought it would. At the very latest we are out of here when this school year ends, no matter what. I am still filling out the paperwork for a school transfer now, just in case. The most annoying thing is being in transition. We are renting a house now, since ours sold (and was already torn down). Most of our stuff is tucked away in boxes. The more I unpack, the more I have to pack up again when we move. So we are just dealing with the bare minimum of everything (clothes etc). So guess you'll be seeing me at Frost again this season.
  19. I started Stephen on skis when he was 3. Put him in snowmonstersat JFBB. Mostly he just ate snow (which is especially gross since its fake). But it got him used to being on skis and he had fun.
  20. 1pm southwest
  21. We are flying back on Friday. I think we are going back to Loveland Wed or Thurs. But I'm sure I would slow you down, I felt totally out of shape today and slower than usual. Pretty sure we are coming back for Christas break but you'll probably be home.
  22. Sorry to dissapoint, I don't smoke weed.
  23. We went to Loveland today. Had a blast! Had to get used to no safety bars on the chairs. If the boys were younger I would be a nervous wreck.
  24. No you look at the map again. My email says they will have "Catwalk, Mambo and Homerun" open. www.skiloveland.com/themountain/maps/south_view.aspx\ Edit: don't know why this is not clickable but those 3 runs are all green.
