yeah I did that but it didn't spread exactly evenly. Now I have these random hunks of wax after sraping. If I run my hand down the bottom of the board its not smooth.
-
ok, my hands barely work after all this scraping. I am cheap and decided to get all the stuff to was our skis and boards. The guy at the shop said to take 1/3 of the 60oz thing of wax (its separated in thirds) and that would do one snowboard or 2 skis. Did it but the was didn't go on completely even. I was scared to have the iron in one spot too long. This shit is not scraping off. I mean it is but the bottom of the skis and board feel like shit. Please help me my hands are ready to fall off.

I don't usually post trip reports but I had to say some things about Boulder today. It was great! We pulled into the lot at 8am and I seriously thought I was mistaken and they didn't open until 3. There was no one there. We did not share a trail with anyone until after 10am. We did Bunny's, Tannanbaum, Draufager, Snowdrift and Upper Sitzmark. All were groomed cord. We left by 11:15 to close up the house and take the long ride back to Jersey. Great day and weekend at JFBB. And I guess that's why I don't post trip reports because they are too short and have no pictures. Forgot my camera this weekend.

Good report Leslie. Thanks for the props on my kids. They can definitely be a pain in the ass, but for trhe most part they are pretty good. I have to stop being a whimp and hit east mt before the season is over. I mean if my 8 year old can do it I guess I can too. Is it much worse than thunderbolt? I am guessing its just one steep trail with no flat sections.

I saw everyone for about 5 minutes. By the time my slow ass got down exhibition I didn't know everyone went on the other lift. Oh well. Conditions were great as Pa RR said. It was only super cold first thing this morning. I had a fun day hanging around my kids. I did sneak up to the bar in time to see Bob, Leslie, Melissa and Doug. I wish I could have stayed longer. Tomorrow's temps should feel tropical compared to today, can't wait.

You fag. C'mon if my 8 year old can hang so can you. It wouldn't be a pasr day without you Doug. -
Guess I'll never know the whole story. He wanted to leave the mountain right away because he was embarassed. I just know it scared the crap out of him and he will definitely be more careful from now on.
-
Yeah, he is very lucky he's ok. In a way its good this happened to him because it scared him enough that he won't creep his behind up too far anymore. And yes he always puts the bar down. He usually lifts it up the last or second to last tower and that's when he starts getting ready to get off, way too soon. He actually didn't want his dad to call me because he thought I would yell at him. I'm kind of glad I wasn't there to see it because, as the mom, I would have probably made things worse by being to freaked out.
-
So the boys' dad took them up this weekend and I just got a call that my youngest fell 15 feet off the lift. This is his 5th season on skis and he knows how to get off a lift, but for some reason this season he is scooching his but up on the chair way too far and early. I have talked (and yelled) about it many times with him. I told his dad to say something to the race coach this weekend since he wasn't listening to me. He's fine, good thing we had a lot of fresh snow.

Give him a break, maybe he's a grower not a show-er

I'll be there with my boys. It would be nice if Melissa and Leslie would come. I still have yet to meet Melissa. -

We got to boulder at 8:10am and had the place completely to ourselves until 10;30. It really started filling up at 11:30. We mostly stayed on th new beginner park on Tannanbaum, which is so boring for me since I won't try any of the rails. But my kids were having a blast on it. Lapped MittlI-weg a bunch of times. My son won a silver medal on that trail the other day at the mountain dew challenge. /shameless bragging mother rant. After a very inexperienced skiier came within a foot of taking me down on Bunny,s it was time to call it a day. Heading to Frost in an hour. I haven't slept in one day of this super long Christmas break. I may even blow off my son's ski team lessons tomorrow.

Back on topic...pretty sure we are going to Boulder. I'm very happy they built a beginner park this year. I could barely drag my son off of it yesterday.
-
Welcome, Heather. We are here a lot too. Mostly at frosrt on weekends because of the race team. I'll keep an eye out for you, maybe our kids can take some runs together.
-
Glad to hear they finally added a beginner park. We'll be at Frost again today but hopefully ride BB this week.
-
I like your pictures, Jeff. I wish I could make it to Stratton in that time. It takes me a solid 6. I'll be there in March, looking forward to it.
-
That makes sense, they were blowing snow underneath the lift. Any excuse not to blame it on my shitty ability.
-
I'm glad you said that, I thought it was just me. My son just wanted to keep lapping Expedition and Demattes demise so we had been taking the same lift all day. Then on about our 8th run when I put my board down to get off the lift I wasn't moving and it did feel like I was stuck. Then of course the chair kept moving and I fell pretty hard, slammed my tailbone (of course) and my head. Good thing I had a helmet on. My son fell also and when we got up he said he felt like his board was stuck in glue. It was embarrasing but I do feel pretty beat up today.
-
Thanks so much for helping my son out, Phillycore! My older son was riding very badly and I finally realized why. His feet grew so much they were hanging 3 inches over his board. I told my brother we were going to take a quick run over to mike and matts to get them adjusted. My brother is such a goofball I told him to meet Stephen @11 for lunch. Since we don't ususally go to frost I guess hwe was a bit unsure of himself. This is also the first I am hearing of this story. I also met lineskier18 who is a race coach for the little kids. I know he'd rather be training the bigger kids but he should take it as a compliment, not everyone can work with little kids. Posting from a blackberry is annoying.

Then you'll probably have my son, he's 8.

Which age group do you work with?
