  1. I will definitely be at both the Jan 5. one and the one on Mar. 2. They both should be awesome!
  2. It is so great to hear that JFBB are holding out through this whacky weather. It really shows they know what they are doing. I cant wait to get out there again.
  3. So is anyone heading up to Jack Frost either sat. or sun. I will be up there both days, it should be awesome up there.
  4. Sorry...but i think your wrong. Extremely wrong. The lifties at JFBB are some great people. They are friendly and always say hello and ask how your day is. They are great there. The lifts at JFBB arent that slow, well the ones that service the beg. areas are and for good reason. I have timed the lifts at JFBB and on average you get to the top in 6 min. Not to bad...
  5. It will save you, in the long run. Its expensive if you lose it. Just an easy way to keep track of it. Extremely Bright- not meaning they are rocket scientists, but know the industry well
  6. To be honest, I dont think its a real big deal. JFBB will survive and be the greatest mtn.'s in the Poconos for sure. Grooming, Terrain, and Snowmaking counts alot. Parks also count and remember they still have the jibs and im sure they know how to set them up and they have a loyal park crew. I am sure you will have a blast at both resorts this season.
  7. Remember that was the old management. This is Peak Resorts, which is a well run company and has many dedicated employees.
  8. Dont know much about it and dont care to comment. I dont know both sides and JFBB is run by extremely bright individuals and do not make split second decisions. I am sure they have good reason and we should trust their decision.
  9. I have yet to see a lift ticket "fall off" and did not see any laying around at JF this weekend when i was there. I do not deny it happened, but i doubt it happens often. A way to make sure it doesnt and to keep track of it, get in a habit of showing it off to the lift attendants(even though they probably could care less). Make them aware you have one, and you will always know you have it on before going on the lift. I am sure a lift attendant will recognize someone who has showed his ticket everytime he has entered the lift. If it does fall off take it to management immediately. Show them, get a new one, and hopefully if it is an issue they will fix it. You cant blame them, people do take advantage, people could never put them on, give them to a friend then say it fell off. The easiest is same penalty for everyone without one($50 Fine + Cost of Ticket). Remember it is a crime to ski without a ticket(Theft of Services). Its your pass and your responsibility. DONT GET CAUGHT WITHOUT ONE, YOU CANT AFFORD IT!!!
  10. -Challenge -ONE Park(Tobyhanna) -Janes--Possibly??? -Frosty -Powder Puff -Snowflake -either Ridge Run or Easy Rider I also believe 6 lifts will be open. They might open more, but I think those are the ones they are going to stick with. It will be awesome this weekend. I will be there all day Sat. and Sun. Think Cold and Snow!
  11. Nice... You guys are so lucky to get out there before this weekend, I really wish I could. I will be at JF both Sat. and Sun. Anyone heading to Frost this weekend?
  12. Parklogic: We have had so many updates about BB what about JF? How is it going over there. It maybe hard to tell but some of us really like JF and plan to ski/board there the most. Can you tell us how the snowmaking is going there, and any plans for the terrain parks there? Any info. on JF would be much appreciated. Thanks Guys! Can't Wait To Finally Ski!
  13. I definitely think they will open on Tuesday. But I recall from reading on the website that BB will not be open during the day. So dont plan on going during the day as they wont be open. I think they will open at 3:30 and be open till 10pm(except on weekends that is). I believe BB will open Tuesday at 3:30 and JF will open Saturday at normal time(8:00am). I'll definitely be at JFBB opening weekend probably just JF, hope to see you there.
  14. Question for all you snowmakers... What does the temp., and weather need to be for snowmaking to take place? Can they blow snow at only 32? Can it be cloudy? Can they blow snow if it is snowing already? Thanks All!
  15. They probably weren't sure they would have enough snow after the rain and they probably told us immediately after they decided it was enough. My guess is the idea is that anyone who was planning on attending can now try the jibs. Dont complain, they didnt have to let anyone on anything. And its FREE. Be happy that people are allowed to try them, and if your not prepared yet then dont worry you will be out there soon enough.
  16. CHECK IT OUT... The JFBB Website now says they will be making snow Monday Night... They say they will have pictures on tuesday... Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow...
