    1/8/09

just got back from blue and nestors customer appreciation day. conditions were variable ice, hard pack, and loos granular with light snow fall. i was able to demo the 09 k2 zeppelin 158 cm which is a sweet little carving board, but has very little pop and kinda chatters when you pickup speed. all in all a good morning on the mountain with crowds beginning to grow at around 12:00
  8. well i will definitely be their
  9. are the demo's free? and you work at nestors? and is rob from nestors going to be their?

    Edge Angles

kevin i could be wrong here but after reading your post it sounds to me like you feel that edge angles are actually less important than other parts of tuning.
  15. just a thought if you don't like the discussion don't read it...

    Edge Angles

but you don't have to do all of it on the same day you take your average carving ability with one edge angle versus another over several days or weeks. you have to notice trends in your riding while you have different setups

    Edge Angles

well i figured you would be using the falling leaf, but really i think their is a huge difference in how much bite an edge has between 6 and 3 degrees...

  19. actually i am more worried about being comfortable than looking cool on the mountain. and even though i am wearing shorts in all seasons i usually end up sweating by the time i get to the base, and noxidee was almost correct, i really feel that in the Poconos you should never be dressed like an astronaut. all you need is something to block the wind and a little bit of insulation, you don't need to look like the Michelin man to stay warm here. As for R2's question about websites http://alycium.com/ for the pants i really don't know anything about analog jackets i just got it on sale a couple of years ago, but i did order an alycium jacket which i should be getting soon, it is the Paramount group Hooded Jacket.
  20. i say don't worry about being a dick, they don't have what you need. just get the gear you need and tell them they lost out on your business because they didn't stock the item you require.
  21. sorry to take so long to answer R2 question about what my pants and jacket are. my jacket is an Analog hard shell jacket, and my pants are Alycium Paramount group soft shell pants.
