  1. R2 im 215 i dont look at weight limits on snowboards i also don't look at anything under 156 cm look for a stiff board in that range and you be happy as a clam edit: i will pretend i did not read you assumption on pa temps.
  2. I've got nothin
  3. so i wear a cotton t shirt and running shorts under my jacket and snow pants and i rarely get cold. also i don't remember the last time pa had single digit temps, and windchill only affects exposed skin...
  4. im still not quit sure why you hate Burton maybe if you say it again ill get it
  5. for that price i would be looking at used gear that wont be great but it will work. last time i checked the loft had a used snowboard rack most boards with bindings under 250, but dont quote me its been a while since ive been their
  6. Vote Dharrisburg 08
  7. i would enjoy watching races on tv but rcn sucks as a cable provider
  8. so you assume that i ride rails and jumps and half pipes well you are obviously rather discriminatory. i cant wait to hear what you think all skiers do, and i guess all ski patrol are professional skiers
  9. R2 $6 x 8 hr = $48 a day - tax probably around $40 a day. does that even cover the cost of lunch at the ski resort?
  10. being an instructor means nothing anyone can be an instructor. i have seen countless instructors who have trouble making it down a blue square let alone actually knowing something about the sport. exspecting an instructor to know things about snowboarding is like expecting the kid at the grocery store who stocks shelves to know something about cooking food, it just doesn't happen very often.
  11. unless you are carving over a flat bastard file i doubt that you need your edges sharpened ever week, and oiling your board is great for the first 50 feet you ride on it. as for your question about what services you could get a t a ski shop for a snowboard i think that any real ski shop will stone grind your base which is nice every couple seasons, and they sell things like P-Tex to file your base when you hit rocks. I hear they even have spare parts for bindings sometimes so you can fix them for 5 bucks rather than buy brand new ones for 100+. personally i would never trust an employee at a ski resort to tune my gear most of them are kids out of high school who i would bet really don't know what they are doing. are they sharpening your base edge every week?
  12. r2 a half pipe board should be a descent carving board, but if you want to get a board that actually shreds you are gonna have to blow some doe. i would suggest looking in to the Salomon burner
  13. my exact thought
  14. so r2 i guess that $200 burton that "you bought " you really didn't?
  15. i stopped listening to store clerks once i found google
  16. Dear Robert2, YOU SUCK AT POSTING i was wondering how you are going to ride a $200 snowboard 2000 this season? last time i checked their were only 365 or 366 days in a year, and if you just talking about runs than you are not planing on riding a whole lot this season are you. as for your comments about it being a Burton product their for it must be good, That is stupid not every product that any company makes is the best. that is why their are these things called consumer reviews which allow you to understand how other people feel about a product be for you drop some bank on it. I also hope you were not trying to impress by saying you have 3 other snowboards. On the topic of Glenn knowing anything about snowboarding or if he snowboards frequently, i expect him to double the number of days you snowboard, quadruple the vert you "rack up", and have the ability to beat you in any facet of snowboarding. Unfortunately you will not be able to challenge him to a Chinese down hill cause he will be in Colorado for the winter. Hopefully i never meet you on the slopes, Bringer Of Death
  17. i have a blue season pass and will most likely get a whiteface season pass too bb requires 15 people for group rates
  18. this is epic! nov 11 should be the first pasr day so we can get group discount
  19. here is a thought have the free passes for the leaders included in the price for the kiddies to go
  20. im guessing that your friend left it in a very hot room, and as for warranty it never hurts to give k2 and the store it was purchased at a call to find if it is under warranty
  21. why wouldnt you be able to move?
  22. im saying goggle pic is birches
  23. yea i never thought i would see the day when i would call blue my home mt
  24. well first tracks is nice but that only helps when they have trails open and since last year 90% of the time i was their only half the mountain was open because it wasn't busy (thus the reason i am their) i have decided to move on to blue. Just for the record conditions, prices, and perks don't mean a thing if you don't care about your season pass holders enough to leave the whole mt. open in none peak days...
  25. zaldon
