Hey anyone know what camelbacks hours are going to be tomorrow? I looked quick on their site and couldn't find anything. thanks
-
I know some of you are park crew at sno, I was wondering what I could expect park-wise from sno on Wednesday.
-
haha good point. We would've done a handrail though. Oh well. Still good for Wednesday?
-
Are you serious? It rained for like a week and the day after I come home it snows. just my luck
-
You guys are harsh. Elks park isn't terrible. Like Snos is way way way better so I barely go to elk, but you can have a lot of fun in elks park. I'm pretty sure their park isn't open now, but when its going they usually have 2 small but very nice jumps, and some rails or boxes you can session. The part thats really cool is no hiking, because of the tow rope.
-
You don't need a 15 foot high table top to have good jumps. Just put a kicker about 20-25 feet before a headwall. Alot less snow, and work, plus it flows nicer anyway. Boulder has a jump like this on Love park right now, and it is really nice.

I'm going there on saturday, did you see how the park was at all?
-
Others might not agree, but you don't need coping. I made 4 boxes last year, all without coping. They worked fine.
-
Anyone know when these boxes will be set up?
-
anyone know what this guy is trying to say?

I was very surprised at how well they set up the little park on mainline, and also how much fun it was. So I was wondering what will be in the real park on spike. I haven't been up there since Sunday, hopefully ill be up there tonight, so I haven't seen anything about the new park. Anyone know when it will open and what it will have in it?
-
Nice edit Nick. I like the part with sno mtn skier at the end. That jump wasn't too easy for me to three for some weird reason, but the boarders in your edit did pretty well with it. But anyway the park they have now up there is pretty good so I can't wait to see what they have for the real park.
-
nice especially the c and s boxes. Do you know which of those they will put up on mainline or all of them? Also were you working last night because I looked for your cast and couldn't find you?
-
I was at sno last night and they were blowing hard on almost every trail except the terrain park. Then the guns under the iron horse lift started to malfunction. I think the nozzles on the new fan guns were freezing up because random nozzles on different guns were shutting off. Some guns were down to like 6 nozzles. Then they started blowing on the park. The new park guns, the wizzards i think someone said, are awesome. The snow was just pouring out of them, but then I left cuz it was freezing. I'm not sure how far they got but I was just on snos website and they say "News: Planet starts building Loki's Terrain Park Planet Snow Design has been building pipes and parks since its inception in February 1998. It is a rider-driven company solely dedicated to creating the best snowboarding venues on the planet. While Loki's Terrain Park is being designed and built come and check out Mainline Trail where Plants Tools has set up three rails for this weekends enjoyment."

Who else went? I went today from 12-10 and had a good time. We made some nice kickers on whistler and found a foam tube thing and set it up as a bonk. It was a lot of fun but yeah that scanning thing sucks.
-
That would be nice because if they have a rail or two I'll go to Sno but if not it looks like ill have to go to boulder again
-
no opening day park right?
-
like longways..... or what?
-
I have made 3 boxes in the past and have usedplexiglass to coat the top, but this will not work with the C-box I just built. Does anyone have any ideas on what and/or how to surface a C-box. I was thinkin like lots of thin flexible pipe but let me know what you guys think.

I just got back from BB and the parks were surprisingly good considering all the terrible weather we have had. The landings on all the jumps were terrible but theres nothing anyone can do about that, but I really liked all the rails and boxes they had set up. They are in a lot of trouble though if it stays warm. You had to pond skip across the bottom of the freedom park, and while I was there They took out 3 boxes and closed two others. I hope they can stay open til it gets cold though because it was well worth the drive. I also saw a lot of people from up here, I saw some Johnny and some people from elk and I think I saw nick. -
they should b able to make it, i was up there a few days ago and the trails that they did have open were fine, snow wise
-
Sno said they were hoping to open today but I don't see how that would be possible. Anyone know whether they actually opened or not?
-
I was hired at elk back in November, went to the orientation and everything and filled out when I could and couldn't work, and they said they would call when I was starting. I have not been called yet and I'm getting tired of not snowboarding, so I'm thinking I go back to my old job where I know they will give me hours, and buying a season pass to sno before the discounted rates run out. Do you guys think this is a good idea?

Nick did he mention whether or not they would have any sort of park open when they opened or not?
