  1. Everyone just needs to be patient. Do you really think it's possible to build 5 badass parks right out of the gate? Freedom and The Plaza have been rebuilt several times. Boulder Park is nice and will only get better. LOVE Park (get over it, it's not called Merry Widow anymore) started with a killer early season setup...now it gets its turn for some extra attention.
  2. Holy crap. Check out the Freedom Park webcam. That thing looks sick. Another gnarly creation from Big Boulder Park.
  3. Hopefully one misinformed person won't give you a bad impression of JF or confuse the policy. It is an Open Domain policy. If there's snow on it, you can go on it.
  4. What was said employee wearing? Or what did he/she look like?
  5. Keep your fingers crossed BDK and we might be hitting up East Mtn. by noon on Saturday.
  6. Conditions at Boulder tonight were the cat's pajamas. All the snow dried out and things were oh so nice.
  7. Dec. 8th. That's the day. That will be an opening with coverage from Frosty to Challenge. I can't wait.
  8. I see what you're saying, but in PS's defense that logo was from last year. The one on the site is a new creation for this year. Props to Ian for that one.
  9. Schibbs released a Boulder Edit not too long ago. I think he's still alive and kickin'.
  10. I have to agree. No matter how awesome a video is or is not there will be at least 50 kids out there that will rip on it. On the flip side, for every 50 kids who put up a negative comment there are 50,000 who just check out the video and see Big Boulder Park represented on a major snowboarding media outlet.
  11. Snow = Nov. 26th. Open = beginning of December...depends on the weather and the amount of snow that can be made.
  12. Boulder will be open tonight. No snow was made, but the park is holding up nicely.
  13. I'll admit...that was funny.
  14. I have to agree with that whole-heartedly. See...me and Papa get along these days.
  15. Alright toast, then don't go to BB...go to Blue Mtn. the True Mtn. instead.....oh wait.....
  16. Nice work on that one.
  17. Wow, you guys act like they will be open sometime soon. What would you do with that pass if you had it already? There is plenty of time for them to take your picture. Don't get your panties in a wad.
  18. I'm in VT so I'm not 100 % sure.....but 27 by midnight and a low of 22 should mean plenty of snowmaking.
  19. That's classic PASR...tell everyone how much you hate a particular mountain, but then keep going there anyway.
  20. Thanks for the info. I was unaware of the particulars. So Sno must be open this weekend too right?
  21. Due to BB's lack of significant vertical, the base area is almost as high as Sno's summit. So overall BB is much colder than Sno. Plus whatever Joe Snedeker says the temps are in Scranton always deduct 7-12 degrees for the BB actual temp. Where's the pics of all the snow made at Sno last night?
  22. Are you completely insane? YES, there is market for pre-turkey skiing here. 200 people showed up for the Mike n Matts rail jam just to hit a couple of jibs on an anthill. It's not throwing money in the garbage...it's good PR and good business...just like staying open on weekends til April 15th was good business. You really have no idea what you are talking about. And you can start making that $100 check out to Mr. Fluffy McFlufferson anytime.
  23. Ok, that's cool with me. (Not that I really think you will pay.) I'm not sure if it got cold enough last night, but the low tonight is 22. With the firepower out on Freedom Park right now all it's gonna take is a couple of good nights to get that open...and yes, it will have lift service.
  24. I'll bet you a nickel that you are wrong. It's much colder at BB than at Snotage. We had flurries this afternoon.
  25. Jane's Lane is going to be a regular slope. One Park is still gonna be there. That is on the slope formerly known as Tobyhanna. The trees at the top of Toby plus all the existing glades were cleaned out and made much nicer.....but the sickest glade-work was done in the large tree area between Challenge and East Mtn. This area could be a named trail and be put on the map, but I don't know if it will be or not. In any case, it's super sweet. I can't wait to blast through there this winter.
