I was there and dont feel bad about not being the best skier there. all i did in my 2 runs was throw some shitty switch 180 mutes and wrecked some 360's. i left right after my 2nd run because i didnt feel like waiting for the rest of the 18 and up skiers and snowboarders AND the intermission just to find out how i did, which i assume was shitty

according to their website, early to mid december. but i know they usually try for the 8th of december. With the forecast for this week, they should be able to make snow almost every night, and maybe open by this weekend? hopefully?

ok so tonight they deff. started making snow and i'm actually right this time lol

sorry guys, i was wrong. at employee orientatio they said they were going to start sunday night, so when i saw the lights on sunday night, i got all excited and posted. but i was wrong and they didnt make snow. they probably got like 6 inches of natural though!

anyone know if they made snow last night? im not even sure it was cold enough but i thought the weather said it was going to be below freezing

well ACTUALLY, the flat down was never out, it was always the flat box...just felt like sayin that haha

yea elk is most deffinatley opening wednsday. and they have a lot of snow so thats cool too

yea your regular skis should be fine. you might want to take a file and just dull down the edges underfoot.

elk has begun the process of snow-making tonight, december 2nd 2006. thought i'd let you know

dude i never saw it but how would they get speed? in that area there is like no hill just feilds.

no thats just the little park. it didnt even open last year and when it does open it has like 2 rails and thats it. the actual park is good...well better than the lil one

well i didnt hear much besides the speakers and that they are totally re-doing everything in the park so it wont suck as much lol

i hear elk is supposed to be getting speakers in the park this year so they can play music. cool i guess?
