I'm pretty easy to spot....I'm always the fattest guy on the mountain that can actually ski and isn't on rental skis wearing jeans or sweat pants.. My helmet has PASR stickers on it too which also helps.. The thing is I'm only ever really there on weekends....has something to do with the 110 mile drive and working in NJ and all...

Robert you crack me up man.......Do you actually listen to that while boarding?? Keep on doing your thing.... it's at the very least entertaining. I enjoy reading your posts for sure...

Is bear creek even worth the $25 ??? Not for me when I can ski Camelback for free.... or use my pass to JFBB

Did you get a postcard or e-mail?? Just asking because Mike and I didn't get squat... I did rsvp though for Sunday.. -
I'm not worried in the least... 3 days ago I was still skiing in the trees... There's a boatload of snow left at JF for sure....

Only Financial... Nothing I can't figure out... Just debating what I want to do compared to what I should be doing... Normally what I want wins out.... but I WANT lots of shit....that's the problem.... what do I want the most..haha

Jack Frost March 14-15 Rollcall...

Michael kinda does what he wants now... I try to keep an eye on him from the lifts and all when he's not with me, but he's pretty capable of being anywhere on that mountain without incident. Knowing Mike, he'll want to watch his lil bro for a while then he'll ask me if Dan or Dom (smartass / Pa Ridge Racer) are around so he can look for them.. Mike and I got split from Dan and his friend when Mike wanted to switch skis the other week and we couldn't seem to line up with them again as whenever we'd see them we were in the middle of the lift....and they were under us.. He seems to like skiing with the PASR's. I'll make mention to him though that you guys are there but without him knowing what you guys look like (other than maybe steven as he stayed with him that one time when Steven was lost or whatever) Michael does like to mess around on the park so he may want to do that too... I'll need to see what he wants to do.... He's on PASR now under the screenname serch.. -
With the Reggae Fest (Sat) and Season Passholder party (Sun) going on this weekend, I figured it warranted a roll call... Who is skiing where and when this weekend at the Big 2 I'll be at Frost with my eldest (Michael) and middle (Zachary) children on Sunday for the passholders party.. Can't really ski with anyone this weekend though as it will be Zachary's 2nd time ever skiing.

If questioned by a patroller if you know AtomicJeff or GrilledSteeze Doug, from PASR just say hell yeah those guys are douchebags... than you'll probably get a personal escort into the VIP lane for the day and a round of applause...

Julz.... If you really want to compare JFBB to Camelback than you need to answer these questions... Do you mainly ride weekdays or weekends... Weekend crowds at Camelback are HORRIBLE, and anything close to a holiday CB is basically unbearable... CB is bigger and the lifts are a lot quicker, but if you are skiing weekends mainly than JFBB is going to win hands down as the amount of extra time spent on a lift is still shorter than the amount of time waiting to get on one at CB. If you are going to ski mainly weekdays, than CB is a serious option... the runs are longer, and overall it's a nice mountain. Now you can ski CB on weekends if you are there for first tracks and don't mind bolting out around 10am when the crowds come rolling on in. JFBB is going to open first and close last so you may potentially get 2 extra weekends out of your pass... CB has been doing one hell of a job keeping their mountain open long as well so it's almost equal... If you enjoy anything off piste than JFBB is going to beat anywhere in the area based on the fact that they are the only ones around with an open terrain policy. If you don't mind running trails all day then that is not going to be a plus... If vertical feet and long runs are more important than CB is going to win hands down... Snow quality.... JFBB wins....the snow they blow is just different than the others for some reason... I can't explain it, but if you've skied the others and then come ski JFBB on a comparitive day than you'll notice the difference... Terrain parks... well CB and Boulder are both park oriented and I'll let the park rats handle those comparisions... At the early season rates you can't go wrong at either.....honestly... I will say that my personal preferences are this... Snow Quality - JFBB Variety of terrain - Camelback Value for your dollar - JFBB Ability to ski anything with snow on it - JFBB Ski Lifts - Camelback Parking - Camelback Services - Equal Customer service - JFBB Difficulty of terrain - Camelback (on piste only) Grooming - JFBB

I RSVP'd with no problem today... (for Mike, Zach and I) Barb, I'm just going to buy Zachary the guest pass thing for $20 since it includes lunch and he's going to want to eat anyway. Thank you for the offer very much though I do appreciate it.. -
Melissa, You aren't a problem.... There really is no problem... I'm not even sure if I'm going at this point so please don't feel the need to re-arrange stuff on my behalf. If I go than I can secure my own hotel and just ski with all of you, it's not an issue. Right now though honestly, I'm not sure I even want to go..

figures... I didn't even know about it till now.... Did they send out an e-mail or something. or was it just on their website... -
I agree with you 100% and give you props for being the better man on that... I have the time off from work and the okay from the wife, but I'm still not 100% sure I'm in on this... More than likely I'd be getting my own hotel anyway as my wife isn't going to be cool with the co-ed thing. I wouldn't be cool with her staying at a place where guys were either. It's a respect thing and not a trust thing fwiw....after 17 years together we know each other pretty well...lol Most wives wouldn't even consider letting their husbands go away on a skiing trip without them as it is. I'd never consider the issue purely out of respect for my wife. With that said though, don't alter any plans on my behalf because I'm not sure what I even want to do at this point.

I'd appreciate that... I'm not really sure what I'm doing this weekend yet...(gotta check with the wifey) but I know Zachary would love to go again... Dan that's a great deal... I wonder if Michael qualifies for that as well since his pass is an 90/10 pass ?? -
Your legs actually get sore...yeah right...lol Lookout Below looks sweet...

Actually I meant the cost of Zachary (7) doing the snowmonsters program and rentals which is $80 for a 3 hour session... Michael (14) has a season pass for next season -

I reversed the pics so they were in order... Yeah it does kinda look bad, but it's not like that whatsoever...just timed the pic weird....lol The instructor at the top starts them off like that to help them get their skis pointed right (first pic) then they let them go and the other one helps them stop a little bit further down (2nd pic) Then they repeat the process until they get to the lift.... -

Took the am off to sleep in and left the house at 10am with Serch and my middle child (Zachary) Today was to be Zachary's first ever day on the slopes. Got there and had to find a place to park and there wasn't crap around so we ended up in lot 7 alongside the frosty trail. Serch went ahead as I had to get Zachary all signed up for the pm snowmonsters session and get him rentals. After getting him all setup I went and met Michael (serch) for some spring skiing... Man oh man was the snow nice... it was really strange skiing without a jacket and gloves on. It took me a run to really get comfortable as I felt so weird, but the more I skied the better it felt and DAYAM it's nice to ski when it's in the 60's. The snow was great, the bumps were phenomenal, the weather was beautiful.... it was definitely a Great day!! As usual didn't wait in not one single liftline all afternoon....if I said I waited more than two chairs I'd be lying... Spent some time skiing some of the trails I never go on like janes lane, and the blue run at the bottom of frosty, etc... It was a good way to keep an eye on how Zach was doing while skiing some terrain I never ski. I'd be lying if I said those runs weren't fun today. I even skied powderpuff and jane's lane switch...for some practice.... Thunderbolt had a nice lip off the one headwall which was nice for some airs with some soft landings. The challenge trees were still skiable and oh so soft... Floyd's and rivershot had their share of crud but nothing too bad and since it was so soft it made it interesting and fun. I love Jack Frost more and more each time I get to ski it.. JADIP Fo DAYAM Sho....
