Both my wife's parents are deceased as is my father. Her brother can't take care of himself let alone my kids. My brother lives in Washington DC. My mother simply can't watch them as they drive her nuts.. I'm poor which means no babysitter and I have no friends... other than my wife. looks like I'm screwed.

I didn't choose the shipper....not that I cared either really as long as they arrived in one piece.. or....uh two I guess
-
yeah ok like that would happen...lol
-
I was hoping they would stay open till April myself as I only got to use the season pass (08/09) once so far... and maybe tomorrow but next weekend is shot for me already with the wife out of town... can always hope for another cold spell....although they're probably done with even attempting to blow more at this point
-
You want to drive down here and babysit so I can go?? My 13 year old will dote on you and the 6 and 3 year olds will fight all day when the 13 year old isn't fighting with them... and I'll be skiing.. sounds good from this end... I love my kids but can always use a day away from them from time to time..

This is a messago board for skiers and snowboarders so with that said... WHO THE FUCK REALLY CARES WHAT VEHICLE YOU OWN OR DRIVE?? Vette's are a mid life crisis car that suck in the snow and would look flamingly gay with a ski rack on top.. If you want to talk cars... there are plenty of car forums out there for your messaging pleasure... use them and leave this one for those of us who want to ski and ride damnit!! oh and FWIW most people that claim to own something.....yeah they are financing it which means their financial institution owns it and not them.... making payments on something and owning it are completely different things...
-
Just horrible to see something like that happen to someone... Prayers go out..

Like Doug said... I found a few nice stashes when I was there last year... If you look you will find... and I'm not one that's finds very easily either... I mainly just look for tracks..that go off into the side of a trail and then I say screw it and follow them..... sometimes it leads to really bad things though...scraped bases, and getting stuck in narrow spots... Not neccesarily at Elk, just in general.. There are a few nice woods areas there though
-
That pretty much was our plan... just got off to a slower start than usual and intentionally skipped the beginning of the cardboard classic as the trails got super dead with everyone watching it...
-
My son and I got there around 9:15 and stayed till around 3:45... I've never seen so many people on a ski mountain in my life.. After the cardboard classic the sno chute was funny as hell with 1000 people all at once going down it... The liberty one was cool, but the double decker school bus with 18 people on it kicked ass.. My son made it down every trail for the first time ever so I was really stoked about that.. There was a LOT of icy spots and mad people but the lift lines really moved along well and we never had to wait more than a minute or two for a lift.. I think the most crowded thing at the mountain was the bar and the parking lot. All in all a great day...
-
that was definitely switchback.

I'll be at JF with my noob son... staying all day then going to cardboard races... always a good time
