  1. I like the variety of Camelback, and the lifts... but can't stand the weekend crowds and lift lines The lifts at Blue are the best...Paradise is great when it isn't a meat market, Razors and challenge are great when the race team doesn't have them closed.. The grooming is the absolute worst, and by noon on a weekend I'm surviving the mountain rather than skiing it. The PASR presence is second to none and makes it worth it just to have great people to ski with... JFBB.. the East mountain is just great... thunderbolt is a blast, the only mountain close to Philly with glades and open terrain policy, grooming and snowmaking capability just kills it.... first to open, last to close, and they cater to the consumer... BB - yeah if you don't ski park it's pretty much a waste of time....
  2. Yeah you're right on both accounts man...
  3. I know man... WTF...lol Seriously though I like my poles. Maybe I'll need to break out the icelantics..... nah I'm saving them for gaper day Dude you know you're going to miss skiing with me when I buy my pass to JFBB.... we have some good times, although limited... always a blast skiing with you man..
  4. change of plans... looks like I'm going on Sat. instead of sunday... Was going to go to the auto show sat...but sunday is kids day which means my kids can get in free!! I already get 2 comp tickets for my wife and I but now all I'll have to pay for is parking... SHWING!! CRAP... just remembered I lost a basket on one of my poles last weekend... I guess I need to use my old poles, or find a way to transfer that basket onto my new one... either way I'll be there... don't need poles anyway honestly
  5. yep always does and I always ski anyway. (one of the few days I can afford to take my son and he gets so excited to go so I suck it up)
  6. Yeah man.... After Feb. 20th I'll be spending more weekends at JF for shizzle!~!! (I'd be there the 29th anyway...lol)
  7. Don't count on it
  8. Sunday ..... cause I'll be there.

Stowe looks off the chains....20" in past 24 hrs and still snowing and more snow expected through at least Tuesday am.. Crazy good...
  10. Here's JFBB's reply when I asked about the special including the remainder of this year... Of Course!!! Anyone who purchases a 0809 JFBB Season Pass can ski or board the rest of the 0708 season with their 0809 pass. Thanks for the inquiry & we will see you on the slopes! JFBB Staff Looks like I'll be making the SWITCH!! JFBB here I come...
  11. NICE!! I might have some old shirts in my attic he can wear from when I weighed like 360lbs...
  12. I like mine.... but then again I don't ski park, and I'm fat so the stiff ski works out good for me... I'll probably pick up another pair, but they need to make them in a 183-185
  13. half over means half not over = )~~ I'll worry bout skiing in August when it's like the middle of April...
  14. I hear that.... PASR indoor skiing day coming this August... Screw august..... we still have PLENTY of great skiing this winter to even be thinking about August

    Well said...
  16. You ain't lying there... I love Blue but it's basically pointless to even attempt to ski there after noon on a weekend. The mountain gets so torn up you need to go into survival mode. Shawnee was packed when I was there and they still had terrain worthy of skiing and it was nothing but gapers on the whole mountain. JF was the same way, still skiable conditions even though it was crowded and it rained on WMMR day. Blue gets crowded and the mountain turns to shit. As I'm thinking about other Pa mtns. like Elk, etc.. maybe slow lifts aren't always such a bad thing, cause camelback and blue both have fast lifts and they draw crowds like no other and they both turn to shit really fast because of it...
  17. Yeppers... 3 boys
  18. Yerah it's like right by the meadowlands... imagine those lines..... UGH

FWIW I knew what you meant by it Toast....
  20. True.. I just meant worth it in my situation. I'm not ready to take my 3 or 6 y/o yet... I'm having a hard enough time affording to take the 12 y/o (13 last day of Feb)

Vermont isn't like going out west... but it sure beats the hell out of Pa.
  22. Is that extra $100 really worth it for the vip pass though?? Waiting in the ticket line takes like what a minute or two at most... I guess if I lived close enough to go all the time it would be, but the extra 2 visits that I'd have to make to justify the cost would make more sense to just deal with the ticket line stuff... if they threw in the vip parking with it now I'd probably pay it then instead of crossing the road to park....lol
  23. no I realize that.... you get the 4 free ones.... and the season pass is for the one snowpass the season passholder needs to wear... Hell if they were giving you all that who wouldn't do it.... they wouldn't make any money that way...lol It's a sick deal for sure... perfect for someone like me who isn't loaded, loves to ski as much as possible, and lives over 115 miles each way from the mountain. I get to ski every weekend with the pass... and I can take my son along with the 4 free passes (4 trips) plus the two wmmr days and my son gets to ski 6 days MIN. next year.. I'm so Stoked.... Blue's grooming this year is making this an easier decision for me as I do REALLY enjoy skiing with Doug, Jeff, Noxidee, Justin, Toast, and the rest of the Blue regulars...
  24. that was sick....
  25. If I'm reading this correctly.... an adult unlimited 08/09 season pass would cost $449 come Feb. 19th and would be valid the remainder of the 07/08 season as well as the 08/09 season. It would also include 4 free lift ticket passes (or tubing passes) and the season pass is valid for one snowpass per day at either JF or BB. You'd basically need to go roughly 10 weekends, or 12 weekdays to make the pass pay for itself between the rest of this year and all of next season. Oh boy... this sounds like a Great deal for me.... I could use the 4 free passes for my son to go with me, and I know I could make it up there 10 times if I had a pass...... Not to mention I love the east mt at Frost to begin with and their open terrain policy.. Actually the only thing I don't like about JF is the lifts..but I could easily overlook that.
