  3. I skipped out this time... going Sunday am. session with a (NOOB) Friend of mine. I'll try to sneak in some runs with you guys first thing though while the conditions are Primo'
  4. At least I beat the 80 year old lady!!!
  5. lol... I haven't waxed my skis in like 4 trips or tuned my edges... I just suck.... I basically slid around every gate... at least I didn't miss any or fall..
  6. Holy Crap I just logged into that nastar thing and man I suck even worse than I thought I sucked... I was like 65th out of like 88 racers... Now I know exactly why I never did it before.. My only excuses are... the course was nothing but ice when I did it late in the day My skis needed to be tuned no edges or wax I was the only one there attempting to do it on twins and the #1 reason... I'm fat and I SUCK!!
  7. Going to be really short here as I need to get to work... Went with my son to Shawnee for an overnight trip through our Church's youth group. Sat Night was really icy and the lifts were slow as all hell. I spent the first hour or so teaching a first timer how to ski then he went off on his own with my son. He did great for a first timer and I'm sure he'll be going out again. I made my first couple runs down the terrain park and bennekill as that was the chair I was nearest to after the lesson. Moved on trail trail towards the skiers right as the night progressed. I couldn't figure out whatn they use to classify these trails but all the blues, and blacks seemed the same to me. The mountain basically has two pitches... the top of it is one and the bottom is a little steeper.. Hard to judge though as it was night and the conditions were crap as expected for any mountain on a sat. night. Sunday... Got up early to get first tracks... Was on the mountain to score first tracks on arrowhead. Got in as many runs as possible then found a little gem called renegade which is easily the steepest trail there, I guess it's not lighted because I never even saw it sat night. Got in a ton of runs even though the lifts are dog slow.. Tried nastar for the first time and my first time ever skiing around gates... Yeah I suck... Probably would have done better had I tried it earlier before the course was all ice, but what the hell.. I did like 43:14 or some shit... either way I suck on twins with no edges and ice.... yeah it was fun. work calls
  8. That video is a horrible sight... Of course everyone has to learn at some point and FTW my 12y/o son snowplows down the hill the whole time. (I can't seem to get him to man the hell up and point them straight for some reason, no matter how much I try). BOTH skiers doing the plow and snowboarders going sideways kills the conditions, neither is any better than the other honestly if they are both messing it up for the rest of us.
  9. Why does this post remind me of this picture for some reason.... http://www.oculex.fi/thomas/wp-content/argue2.jpg Every mountain can claim they've been voted the best at something....
  10. Just for clarification... I'm not hatin on anyone, just keepin it real and tellin it like I read (see) it
  11. Ok that was harsh, but with all the explaining above and he still doesn't understand...come on... The ski school and race teams aren't the only ones who pay to ski that mountain. The parks are for the jib-honks, if you want to teach someone to jib, have an entry level park setup somewhere on the mountain and use that. The jib-honks have waited WAY too damn long to be able to even use sidewinder for it to be wasted and torn up by nub'z and people who don't belong there. Yeah the steps are a great idea, but they just attract the curious george's that much more.. If they have a trail closed off for their use then use the damn thing or let someone else who paid to use the mountain use it. Just because someone is wearing a blue jacket doesn't give them the right to treat the others on the mountain like they don't belong there. We all paid to be there, and we all deserve the right to be treated equally. Sure We all can understand closing a trail for private use here and there, and that certain areas of the mountain are designed for certain use... well Sidewinder is designated as a terrain park meant for experts not for someone in the ski school. You won't see any experts messing around in the ski school area... S M A R T S T Y L E Use it...
  12. BlueSnowSports82 = TOOL
  13. It's so open that you can pretty much stay away from people all day... You HAVE to get away from that front side of the mountain though as it's all just oversized trails... No reason to head all the way out to Vail to ski something that you could do in Vermont. JMO though.. You'll find something you like there.... it's damn near impossible not to
  14. My reply will be short because your liftline waits won't be.. Going there on a holiday weekend is a WASTE OF TIME
  15. Vail is sick... It's so damn big the extra people don't matter.. Just head to the back bowls and blue sky basin.... WERD!!!
  16. oh dayam... and there might be a chance of snow too....

  20. Yeah I agree... the obermeyer pants that I have are the biggest ones I have...(most of the time too big) however they are a short (bought them not knowing this) as they must think all fat people are 5'9" tall or something.. I don't wear them hardly at all... My favorite pair was made by a company named oxide that doesn't seem to exist any longer.
  21. Thanks for the link
  22. I'm not exactly sure what the house is....
  23. X2 only 20 hrs personal time left and needs to last until end of April.
  24. Processor for Car manufacturer... depending on what I do each day it ranges from 8-14 miles a day though (nutrionist had me wear a pedometer for 2 weeks FTW) I can make it more or less by using a taylor dunn / push cart for small parts aisles. Warehouse work in large distribution center There's a lot of jobs other than mine that would require that type of walking though... Mailman, UPS, DHL, stuff like that.. You'd be surprised how much you actually walk during a day... supposively a busy homemaker walks almost 3 miles a day in her own home.
