Looks like things are going to start getting interesting....

I'm thinking that school here might be closed again tomorrow as well.... The problem is that there isn't enough room for the school buses to travel around the back roads where the bus stops are. The sidewalks aren't fully cleared yet either, so there's no place for anyone to walk. So much snow and nowhere to put it...seems like the real problem. I must however say that I see very little effort today of anyone trying to actually do anything about it either, and with today being the one and only snow day so far this year... I surely wouldn't doubt tomorrow being a second....

I left my house at 5:38am for the ride to Blue. Roads weren't too bad honestly. It was slow going still and there were a few spots that definitely needed some attention. Passed KT right before the LV exit on the turnpike he was looking baller with his big black hat on. I arrived at the lot just before 8 as JfDan, Toast and company were making their way to get first chair. KT, Mbike Mike and Nastar Glenn pulled in as I was booting up. The four of us made our way to the 6er the snow felt a bit sticky at the base. We went down Razors first which was simply amazing. Super smooth and edge-able all at the same time. Next run was Nightmare -Dreamweaver, surprisingly it was left natural which was great.....just not for me at the time as my left arch was cramping up in my boot. I stopped off to the side where the paradise merge is at for a minute but I just had to get the boot off. I went to the lot, ended up pulling my insole out to get a bit more room and just went without it. Switched skis from my skevic's to my prophet 98's. I'm just not feeling good on the skevic's...they're light and agile but definitely not a confidence building ski. I'm having a hard time wanting to ski anything other than the prophet right now. They are just an overall awesome ski. Anyway, I got back out there and eventually ran into JLAW, Mbike and Nastar Glenn again. We made a few runs together than Mike and Glenn went one way and I followed JLAW to the bottom where he went to the lot. Found myself on my own again and ran down challenge which was nice but it wasn't as nice as Razors little crusty at the top, then Lazy to falls....Nothing new there, sidewinder which was strange...cookies coming through on the trail but fun soft stuff on the sides....main st....much better than it is most days....and switchback.... This was also ungroomed like NmDw....but a bit softer and extremely fun challenging on the legs. Easily my favorite run of the day. Almost forgot I was at Blue as it skied like a west coast run. That wore my legs out though so I went to the lot where everyone was. Except Toast, he had already left. Relaxed for a bit than back out with the real KT, pilot Doug, Glenn and Mbike..... Kt, Doug and I got split from Mike and Glenn eventually and we hit up switchback, sidewinder, than Doug and I split from KT as he was going to grab his Park skis. We hit NMDW and my legs were shot for the day. Rough start out with my boots and glasses fogging up like crazy but great day and amazing conditions. Hit my usual turnpike accident delay on the way home.... Only one this time thankfully... Can't seem to avoid them for some reason this year... Switchback was an absolute gem today..... You just don't get that in Pa very often....

I'm sorry Dom.... Definitely NOT what I wanted to hear from you today. Heal up solid my man, and yes Dan is a great dude.... I absolutely concur.

News reporting South Allentown at 32" I'm around 20" in DelCo...stopped a while earlier but started back up heavy and still dumping. Have to go back out to blow out again. Totals are going to be all over the place between the drifts,dry slots and hot spots... The shore is absolutely fucked....

At least it explains wtf those people were doing going the wrong way...lol I dropped Karen off at her friends house a bit ago and a Middletown plow truck was on fire on my way back on Duttons Mill Rd.... It's a crazy day for sure. Looks like Allentown getting blasted.... 32" + Think we're around 20" here, had a bunch of long lulls today throughout but it's definitely dumping again...has been for an hour or so.. I'm thinking that the roads would've just gotten worse for me had I kept going. I'll get up early for tomorrow....no freshies but good snow to ski on. I did hear that someone wasn't so lucky today....really freaking bummed out about that.

I just turned on the news and Penn dot was on talking about earlier when a tree fell down and blocked all the northbound lanes of 476 between route 3 and Villanova...... I then realized that is why those vehicle's were travelling the wrong direction...because I was most likely the absolute last car that passed it before the tree fell. Holy FUCK....I Got seriously LUCKY as that tree could've taken me out.

I just got back....left my house at 1pm figured I'd try it and just spend the night in Whitehall or something.... The roads definitely weren't unpassable but they were definitely not good either. I made it up to the Villanova exit going about 40-45mph and just decided that no matter how good the conditions were up at Blue, that it just wasn't worth continuing. I got off the exit and it was plowed in. Busted on through the 4' wall and made a left to the light. The sign was there saying 476S but I couldn't see the ramp due to the same 4' plowed in wall....so Busted on through that shit and onto the ramp. If I didn't know that it was soft snow, no way in hell I'd have ever attempted that...but all good no problems, no damage. Pretty much as soon as I got onto 476S I saw 6-7 vehicle's (few pickups with plows, couple cars, no emergency vehicle's or anything like that) on the other side of the median going the same direction as me, yet there was no one in front or behind me. I was like WTF.... Started second guessing myself thinking I was on the wrong side. Than I saw cars coming towards them.... I just thought...this is definitely not going to end well. I was able to catch a picture of one of the idiots... Wasn't too long after seeing them that I saw this... So I'm not sure wtf was going on, but there's no way in hell they were supposed to be on that side of the median with cars, trucks, coming right at them and there really was only one passable lane on each side of the highway as it was. Anyway, I'm home safe and pretty happy with my decision.... Tomorrow is another day.

Google says that I can get there in 2 hours.... Might try this shit after all....

I'm finally cleared out but I don't think that I'm going to go through the hell of getting there from here. If the wind there is half of what it is here....I don't trust blue to keep the detachable lifts going

I'll update in the am... May need to add another bottle by then.

The only good thing about these types of storms is that I know that the closer to blue I get the easier the drive is.... Lol If Blue got the expected high total for them at the moment...12"...the trails will be killer with constant refreshing.... However, the winds could cause possible shut down for the detachable lifts and even more likely is the snow getting blown into the trees.... While I'd be stoked on the latter...with such thin cover still I'm thinking core shot city still. If it's socked in city in DelCo...I may just find something steep to hike up and get a run down. One of these times before I went to clayton golf course for turns....fuck it get it in...

Twice as much to laugh at...it's all good.

Pretty much thinking at this point that I'm getting stuck down here tomorrow.... Was hoping this would come in a bit slower and I could just bolt at like 3-4am and snooze in the lot..... Doesn't look like a solid plan right now
