I don't remember it too well....just know that it was a long drive for a bumped up wrod and Doug jumped off the couch. I also remember that I managed to shut the damn pull out sofa bed on myself...lol

There was a time when I was going to go to JH with Jeff and Doug.... I ended up going to WP/Steamboat with Dan instead as he was never out west. Jeff and Doug are great people and we had a great time when we went to k-ton for opening.... I just know that I'd slow them down and I'd never hear the end of it... How much I suck or whatever.....more likely I'd have just split off on my own. Most likely if I went on that trip.... I wouldn't be on this site anymore....

We both know southwest isn't going to JH anytime soon... I'll get back there before southwest does

I base my trips on my custody arrangement. That usually means I'm flying out on a Tues.... And flying back prior to Mon.

Just for pure curiosity sake.... March 1st one way phl-slc $178 on Southwest. Just regular rate..no points, etc. What is it on US? And what are you using to get that rate....

Pretty much everyone on this site skis/rides as fast as possible..... I'm definitely the exception to that rule

Definitely the Cheapest and most convenient for me.... JH central res. Does make it cost effective to ski jh though all things considered especially on longer trips. (Rental vehicle not needed being the largest savings) compared to other areas. No hate on JH from me... I love the place.

Lol Kirkwood is awesome.....good year for Tahoe too...

I flew from phl to Dallas to Jackson...on American when I went. Seemed strange but no problems...

Kirkwood offered me a free half day lift ticket back in 2010 when they had power failure problems. No lifts for a while, candle lit bathrooms, no food or anything like that...but hiking was the worst part of it.... Didn't get back there though.

They should have just opened late....shit happens

That damn TR was longer than my time skiing

Left my house at 10am, filled up the tank and hit the road... Made a DelCo crime and stopped at sheetz on MacArthur Rd.... For a drink and grabbed a burrito... Wasn't healthy, wasn't disappointed.... Arrived at the lot....booted up and said fuck it to the jacket. T-shirt, and vest it was 54 according to the car. Was on the lift by noon.... Foggy at the top....mandatory pics of course Snow wasn't bad....typical for a wet spring like day.... Ran lazy to the bottom and across. Legs are sore, I'm not sure what I'm doing but I'm definitely fighting my skis instead of just skiing them. My Inside groin muscles are more sore than quads....like if you went on a wave runner and squeezed against the cockpit for hours... Anyway...got to the bottom and patrol was waiting.. They Shut down the lifts bc of incoming thunderstorms.... Chatted in the lot with a few people waiting it out than it started down pouring for like 10 mins and cleared up. We saw the lifts start back up and it started to clear up...sun came out Next thing we know is employees are walking out and we hear that they closed for the rest of the day. Unboot...hit the road for the trip home and get on the turnpike... Couple Miles in and I'm dead stopped.... Accident.... Get past the accident and everyone slows down again.... Right lane closed.....boulders fell onto the road from the embankment and state farm truck cleaning up debris.... Get moving again.... Bam....everyone starts slowing down again...but at least we were moving....40mph felt fast at this point. Dodge caravan smacked the guard rail.... Finally got moving and made it home.... Definitely wasn't a very productive day....better ones to come. Do I honestly count this as day 5? Seriously...DaFuq Blue....
