I made a whole 2 runs in April and ended my season with a bang to the head.... I don't see myself taking the time to pull the shit out of the basement once the kayaks arrive....but I have not put my ski clothes in the attic yet. Holding out.

We have dogs, a cat, fish, and kids.... From my experience the fish is the only one who doesn't bother you if you leave them be.

I say it every year that I'm going to start planning my trips out west for late in the season to maximize the pa season, and have all season to get the ski muscles all dialed in. Sure the chance of pow diminishes greatly but so does the PA skiing sux syndrome upon returning.... Guess it's a tradeoff.... Looking great Doug.....jealous as hell but stoked for you my man

If it's only one lift. It's going to be the merry widow lift ...that's the only one that would make sense if they plan on opening love Park. Otherwise it would only be Boulder Park lift and they'd go to only the one Lodge like they've done in the past..

Was skiing down Boulder Park trail and at the bottom I was picking up speed to make the trek over to the merry widow lift....Flat light didn't see a drop off until very last second as I was mid turn.. tried to hockey stop but wasn't quick enough...skis got out in front of me and the back of my helmet caught the lip.

If it was one of my kids I definitely would have gone directly to the hospital. I thought about going but know that I'm good....just needed a little time to get back to normal.....whatever that is in my case. Seriously though, I'm all good.

I'm not going to go to the hospital, I know I'm stupid....I've been told several times, by several people.

Wonder if the ski binding was drilled close to the original making it a weak spot...or drilled more than twice... Crazy though.... Fwiw..... My freaking head is still killing me. I wanted to go back out again next weekend but I think I may be done for the season now. Sux

Still at Boulder with JFskiDan although not skiing....not drinking either. On our second run for the day we took BB trail...I'm not really sure wtf happened but I apparently hit a lip and landed straight on the back of my head or something. Can't tell you because I have no idea, nor do I have any idea how I got to the bottom of the lift other than I know that I skied there as my skis were on. Decided to go talk to patrol after knowing full well that I had all the concussion signs.....sick to my stomach, dizziness, loss of memory, blurry vision....all that good stuff. Kinda really sucks...... Sitting in the lodge trying to clear out the cob webs. Huge thanks to Dan for staying with me and huge apology for fucking up this day on our second run. Patrol found out my helmet is cracked on the inside....just a little one but I'm sure without it I'd be doing a lot worse....
