Where are the improvements for 2013 / 2014

I guess there's still more skiable glades than blue, cb, shawnee, elk... works for me -
It's been a while since I have posted anything so I figured that I would drop by and say hi to everyone. I hope that you all are having a great off season and are looking forward to another snow filled winter on and off the slopes. Not much really positive to say these days, so I have just kinda been laying low and making the best of everything. No point in posting negativity or adding to the drama that occurs on here. Hopefully I will get a chance to ski with you guys this season at some point. I will be back doing my thing at JF again but most likely I'll be limited to only Saturdays due to my personal commitments. Keep it safe and positive....

Jeff, I would bet that I've got sneakers that I actually wear older than the oldest skis you actually skied on this past season. I'm just jealous.....It sucks being poor... shrug

Oh wow... Crazy.... -
I remember saying to the waiter.... That's a complete waste of good beer. That should be punishable by lashings.... We just can't have that type of injustice around these parts. He was like do you guys want it. Like Dafuq kind of question is that.... FREE Beer.... Let it live

So if we were able to setup a March madness style bracket with 64 beers which would be in? Also what would be the 4 regions... By type (ipa, lager, etc.) or area (belgian, irish, etc) if we could setup a bracket and have all 64 bottles there with a few judges taking a shot of each to go through the rounds... Like 3 judges per region per game to eliminate a tie and narrow it down or something... It could be interesting to see who won and who was still standing (literally) at the end ... Lol

Ok screw it, I will write a crappy tr. I arrived at the lot at 8:45 got my ticket, logged in and went over to Discovery. It was slow at first so a few of us went on a syncro ski training session where we discovered that our pod is definitely much better at synchronized beer drinking at 4:01. Than back to discovery when things picked up. I taught an introduction session than moved on to straight run section and eventually moved onto wedge station. 11:00am and my time in Disco was done for the day. I made my way over to East Mountain to meet up with Dan the Man. I asked how Utah was he laughed because that question was dumber than GSS asking how Floyds was. We than made our way to the Elevator which was nice and soft. Ran that a few times than over to Floyds for a speed run... IT was short and sweet as always. (you're welcome Douglas :-D ) Next up was hitting up challenge glade which had some fresh man made on top which was like slamming the ebrake on whenever you hit it... Thin cover in spots unless you stayed close to the trail and mogul city. We than made our way over to DeMattes where we ran through the race gates they had set up, and over to the quad. Next on the hit list was TBolt where you could air it out on the three dropoffs. Mad fun... Dan the Man bolted off in favor of some 4 wheeler action and I went to lunch at 1:15 ate a bunch of crap that I shouldn't have and checked in at 2 for private lessons. I met up with 6 year old never ever Brandon and we made our way over to the west side... (throw up your gang signs here peeps) After the introduction to his equipment, and answering a zillion questions about snow, snowmaking equipment, chair lifts, and why, how, when, where, and if, We made our way down powder puff, snowflake, and frosty using different teaching methods resulting in Brendon needing to work more on his center of gravity (balance) and holding a proper wedge (which he preferred to call a pizza). After dropping my new 6 year old buddy off to his father and discussing his progress and where to go from there, I went back to revisit the Elevator. Floyds, river shot, and thunder bolt a few times, ending my day at 4:00 getting last run on exhibition..... Dropped off my equipment at the car, went up to E2000 for a bit had a Miller light and Coors light (yuck) and out to the parking lot where my podmates were having a nice little tailgate for a bit until my departure for the day.... Soft snow.....And Sunlight....Love it.... Until next week...

Oh... This is jmo, from my experience and I'm sure that others will disagree based upon theirs. I was 330# at one point using a marker Griffon and not exactly taking it easy on my equipment whatsoever... Zero issues to date even though I'm 100# lighter now. Some people think markers are shit. They work for me and the shop I trust for my needs trusts them as well... Enough said for me.... To each their own, there is no one right answer just like there is no right answer in picking a ski or jacket, etc... .

Unless you plan on ramping your game up to include back country, park skiing, or hucking shit don't put too much thought into it as long as it has a din of 12+ you're going to be pretty good for what you are skiing as I don't see it being set any higher than 8 anyway. I've personally always felt that buying the bindings recommended by the shop that you plan on having them installed at is the best way. (this only applies if you trust your shop.. But if you don't, you shouldn't be having them fuck with your gear anyway... Right) Just like anything else in the industry though you get what you pay for.... The cheaper the binding the shittier the spring and more plastic that's on it.

Art, I may not reply that often, but I do appreciate your TR's. However please don't ever feel the need to waste your time answering GSS' stupid ass questions as he already knows the answers and is just being a douchebag. If it wouldn't be a complete waste of my time, I'd ask him how the fresh sausage was at the BMDI, or how the beezies were at the Target, or farmer's market, etc.. after every one of his worthless posts. However my time is much more important to me than wasting it on PASR trolling for attention. I'm sure your's is as well..

I only get stoked about skiing trees and the rare powder days in Pa anymore. Hence the reason why I am beyond ready to get my bike fixed and hit the trails. It's more of a physical challenge as well to be honest....
-
I know that Jack Frost is planning on the 17th being the last day, Boulder is scheduled to remain open later...
-
The lack of daily paying Skier visits = one of the main reasons why some Pa mountains close earlier than they really have to....
-
Word.... Looks great

Wmmr days are the closest resemblance to Blue Mountain after 10am on a weekend that you will get..... Tons of clueless fucks that can't ski littering the trails with beer and red bull cans....
