  1. Rumor has it that the JH forecast is Doug getting Jeff's 6-8" I like the Utah forecast MUCH better!!
  2. Ok,....this should be pretty comical at best, being as I DON'T do videos.....but whatever, you'll get the idea. It's still uploading so I'm not sure when this will be up and running......
  3. Hey that was my snowsnake....lol Going mach 20 down challenge glade threading some trees, then snowsnake sent me air mail into a tree. Didn't get hurt, but it probably could've been pretty bad. I need to start self preservating a little more and slow down when the conditions start to fade. I see fresh snow and I head for it.... not always a good idea. Conditions weren't as good as yesterday, but good nevertheless. Domenik was straight killing e-glade, and he upped my anty on elevator as well. I could only muster 10, and that was REALLY stretching the hell out of it horizontally. My quick hop turn skills need some work.. All in all it was a good day. One of our fellow instructors (snowboard) took a nasty fall around 1:30 and knocked herself unconscious smacking the back of her head into the snow....Not good seeing anyone like that, she did manage to come to a little bit although she didn't know where she was or how she got there.... Patrol arrived as a few other instructors and I waved skiers/boarders away from the scene and a patron continued to talk to her and got her name. Once I heard her name I realized it was the Daughter of one of my pod-mates, so I bolted off in search. Not sure the outcome, but I know she had to have a pretty bad concussion. Her father was located by one of the race coaches and was able to go with his daughter in the ambulance from what I had heard. I wish the excitement ended there, but on my way home I got stuck in traffic around the lehigh valley exit for 20 minutes or so until I passed a car accident where the car was upside down. and my journey got even more exciting on the blue route just before the Rt. 1 exit. I was in the left hand lane doing around 70-75mph following a silver pickup truck when all of a sudden a ladder from off the top of his ladder rack slid off and was headed directly to my windshield. I'm not sure how the hell I managed to avoid the damn thing, all I know is I jerked the wheel and swear my suv went up on 2 wheels and the next thing I know was I was passed the son of a bitch. I don't know what happened with the ladder or the truck other than I remember seeing his brake lights light up about the same time I jerked the wheel into the shoulder and I sure as hell hope noone behind me hit that damn ladder. I guess I'll find out on the news tonight, because if that ladder was hit, I'm sure it made for one hell of a mess on rt 476s. That was some seriously scary shit though I'll tell you that much. Nothing like seeing a damn ladder coming at your head at 75mph. I just knew I'd rather smack the guard rail that get decapitated by the damn thing....... enough excitement for today, I'm not leaving the damn house for the rest of the night!!!
  4. Not really sure WTF I managed to do but somehow the gopro footage got erased, or something. Like Dan said, Challenge glade, Elevator Glade, and Elevator all skied seriously well today. I brought out the obsethed for the first time and I am not sure if it was the skis, or the conditions, or a combination of both....but they are absolutely sick. Blasting down challenge glade faster than I ever remember doing it, threading the trees like race gates... Soooooo much fun!! Only had to work 2 hours today so I got to ski from 8-2 pretty much nonstop except for lunch. It was cold, but the conditions were just too damn good to stop. Other than days with fresh natural snow, I cant think of any day better that challenge glade skied. It seriously was great. It was real nice to be back out there on the slopes.....

  13. I love my TNF Apex Bionic Jacket.... I sold the all black one I had, but kept the black/blue one even though it's WAY too damn big....lol I have the same Hestra's but mine are black/white. (I also have the split finger ones which I use a little more) What do you use on your's as far as treatment goes? I use the leather balm they sell but I still find that water gets through especially on the really wet days.

    GOD

Wait they're racing pants?? To me they looked like womans pajama bottoms. I don't know WTF a Kjuss is or how to even pronounce it, but nevertheless the only thing that really stood out to me in that pic was the woman's pajama bottoms that the dude was wearing. I figured maybe he just didn't put his ski pants on yet and was wearing them as some cheap kinky alternative to under armour or something......lol
  20. Utah got snow last night and more coming today.... 4" but it's a start
  21. My boss has been a damn Godsend in that regard.... he's allowed me to take all the time off I had to unpaid so that I could retain my vacation hours. I owe that man a lot assuming that I can work all this through by then. I'm not planning on Cancelling shit unless I absolutely have to. I've got others counting on me being there and I want to be there. It's just a question on how long these stones hang on. I'm literally drinking gallons of water every day and now I'm on a medication that shrinks my prostate and allows me to piss like a garden hose every 30 minutes. Nobody wants this over with physically and mentally more than I do....
  22. I was going to try skiing tomorrow but after the past 2 hours breathing through this shit again and realizing that I'm probably far from over... it's probably best that I just keep flooding myself and staying in close proximity of my bed. I am extremely thankful that the percoset seems to have worked for now because around 6pm I was damn close to going back to the hospital. This is truly hell, and I pray that noone I know ever has to endure even half of this. After 2 hernia surgeries, a vasectomy, a torn mcl, etc etc I thought that I knew what severe pain was.... I surely did not by any stretch of the imagination. I'm sorry to even post about the whole thing but honestly it's the one thing that makes me feel like I can express the agony I've been going through. So you guys are like my damn pain management therapists..... Lol
  23. FWIW...Just to keep everyone up to date on my TR... I'm home now. I actually got home around noon, then went and retrieved my insurance information from my wife. Since I was half way there I picked up my skis at the ski bum which were remounted, and then dropped off my perscriptions at the cvs, and got some lunch. I was doing really good all day but I'm starting to feel the pain coming back which hopefully just means that one or both of the remaining stones is moving on out and I'm really hoping that it will subside and be quick.... I REALLY just need a break at this point.... As far as tickets go.... (I don't recommend going there the route I did by any stretch of imagination....) I don't have an exact amount, but I get a "discounted" rate through Aetna. Unfortunately my discount isn't as good as it used to be prior to January 1st 2012 where it would've been $10 for the x-ray, $10 for the stent removal, and $50 for the emergency room ride. Now it's roughly going to be in the $2300-4600 range which I "think" will cover my personal out of pocket maximum for the remainder of the year. So if I feel the need to return for even more excitement it should be covered under my newly purchased season pass.
  24. that one tree on risk it is always a deterrent... Good thing in some cases bad in others
