Jeff, I know you said it's not on your list but I seriously think you need to add Squaw Valley to it. It's GNARLY as all hell....you'd have a LOT of fun there. Looks like I need to add Aspen/Snowmass to my list now for comparisons sake..

Utah and Whistler are the next two major areas on my getting shorter every year to-do list -
I just know I had saved a lift ticket from Jack Frost (freebie day) from around 05-06 that was dated like April 7th or 8th something around there (I have no idea where it is now)... Honestly the only real reason I even remember it (or saved the ticket in the first place) was because it was the first time I took my son Michael skiing, and I thought it would be cool for him to have when he got older.
-
I remember not too long ago JF was open like the 2nd weekend in April and it was actually free tickets that day as well.. I want to say 2006 but I could be wrong...

Have fun peeps.... super stoked for you

If you're talking about this season head to Tahoe for sure.. -
Both me and my son are season passholders and neither of us has heard anything about closing yet, or about the passholders party (if they atre having one) so hopefully they are holding off to see how things go before making any official plans. There's lots of snow and lots of people up there still on the weekends so hopefully both can stay open for quite some time.

That video is really intense, and the reason why I like skiing with friends when out west. Seriously if someone my size went under like that...noone is pulling me out

Holly, me and the three kids are heading up tomorrow (not sure if we're doing JF or BB though)... Hunter's first day ever, Holly's first time in almost 20 years, Zachary's 2nd day this year (4th ever) Should be interesting...

This is great for shawnee.... I like it there it's got a different vibe to it. As far as JF getting a high speed lift... honestly, I don't think East mtn would be the place they would put one. The busiest lift is always the one at the bottom of the park. I would think that if they were going to add one this is where it would be first. I almost never use that lift personally as almost all my time is spent off the east mtn lift, but the majority of their patrons are using the lifts that are NOT on east mtn. The east mtn lifts are probably the least busy on the entire mountain and rarely do you need to wait more than 3-4 chairs. (aside from WMMR days, Holiday weeks/ends) So while I'd LOVE to see it happen, the likelyhood is not really there. Elk however could seriously use a High speed lift to replace their quad, and that lift does see the traffic to warrant it.

Agree completely! They don't have to do anything at all
