  1. Yeah, I've NEVER seen the lift lines that busy before.... EVER (including WMMR days....because most people are in the bar or the tubing area) I almost thought I was at blue mountain there for a second this sunday with the long ass lift lines, then I realized the lifts were slow. It's great for JFBB, but I'm glad the holiday weekend is behind us as it was crazy... They needed some serious line management (other than ski school and adaptive program special cut off lines) I love JFBB and how I've been treated by them and their entire staff, but this weekend was a zoo. I'm pretty sure it caught them by surprise, so I definitely give them a pass... Just hope they prepare for it next season a little better. Nothing like waiting in the lift line for over 15 minutes and watching the same ski school kids, and adaptive skiers lap you in the lift line before you get to the front of the line. I was ready to toss on a blue vest for some of that special ski school JFBB lovin'
  2. oh snap.... is challenge always like that now or is it just for the comp? Looks like a real leg burner!!
  3. What disappeared??
  4. It's in the afternoon, but figure I need to be home no later than 2 hours prior to the party to get changed, get stuff ready, etc.. Guess it all depends on what we can get done before hand and all that. I'll call it a game time decision....lol
  5. After skipping out on saturday due to a few things that took late into Friday night, I was just going to bail out on this weekend. Late last night, I was feeling bad as I really wanted to bring my 8yo up for the day this weekend as he's been wanting to go. I gathered up the equipment and went to bed having to wake up and surprise Zach at 5am that we were going up. He had so much fun even though it started getting REALLY crowded around 11:30. Mike (serch) was on his own today as I was with Zach over on snowflake, powder puff, frosty, and ridge run. He said he ran into Dan from here in the east mtn lift line or something. Zachary did really good for only his 3rd time ever and first this season. He's starting to get the hand of turning now, and most importantly he's really having a lot of fun with it. We bolted out around 12:45 when we couldn't take waiting in line anymore. On 476S down around Broomall my cell starts ringing and it was none other than Atomic Jeff who saw my car as he was travelling northbound on 476. Pretty cool as I haven't had the chance to see him in a while. Still hope I can sneak up for PASR day for a couple hours early in the am, but not counting on it as I'm sure my wife is going to need some extra help getting things ready for my kids b-day party at the pool.

  7. Gaperfest 2010 has begun.... Lehigh, Janes lane, Frosty and Powderpuff will be loaded to the gills
  8. sick shots man
  9. No time to get online last night.....but yesterday was probably the best day I've ever had at JF (aside from the 2 WICKED core shots to my NGP's of course)
  10. I drove to the wawa (like 2 blocks away) to gas up for tomorrow... AWD and got the sumbitch stuck twice...lol on an uphill once while trying to turn left at top of hill onto another hill (ended up going straight instead) and again trying to back into my driveway. (REALLY tight spot with all the piles of snow from everyone shovelling, and it's easily 16-18" in the street...lol) Going to be a rough one tomorrow, leaving DelCo around 5:30-5:45 with shovel in trunk...lol)
  11. will be the day of the century if they don't groom tonight!!
  12. you know what JF... give the groomers the night off tonight.... leave all that snow sit there until tomorrow at closing!!!
  13. hope they groom early so there's still some fresh for tomorrow....
  14. I just got home and was going to head to either blue or boulder tonight but Rendell shutting down 76 / 476 to cars which means I can't get there...
  15. looks like the storm is going to end around 8 tonight which means today should be much better. this blows for me as I still need to head to work. thursday should still be pretty good though.
  16. I'm thinking Thursday might be the better of the two (Wed / Thurs) this week with the new snow... Both should kick ass honestly, but I'm leaning towards making the trek up on Thursday rather than Wednesday. If the snow continues through the day wednesday it will pile up and be sick. Being as Frost closes at 4 and the snow will continue through the night, they can groom earlier than a lot of the other mountains around. This means there will be a sweet load of powder just piling up through the night sitting right on top of the best groomed slopes in Pa. Thursday looks to be killer...IMO Wednesday should be DAMN good as well, but for me who is living right at ground zero for these storms as of late and expecting another 18-24" it's the better call for me to wait until Thursday and get up there first thing in the am. Pa Powder for all!!!1
  17. I figured he photoshopped a pic of himself onto that pic.... you mean he actually backpacked up there with that gear on and skis....omg even better...lmao
  18. ouch.... not good not good is that the first serious accident this season for elevator / elevator glade?? Just curious. All the times I've been there this year it looks like a lot of the people who should be avoiding those trails are doing just that. Accidents happen to even the best skiers though, so nothing is ever accident free. Hope he recovers quickly.
  19. Never got the chance too....they closed just around the same time I started skiing. Spent my early years at spring mountain.
  20. Johnny Didn't know you had all that on your fb already... Classic... truly classic...
  21. http://www.dcski.com/lostareas/viewlostprofile.php?id=30 According to that, don't think it's going to be poachable without possibility of some legal trouble. Unless the owner isn't around, didn't care, or got permission to ski it (he might be cool with it knowing the history of the place) The new owner is running his investment firm out of the old barn which he renovated.
  22. Glad to hear she's alright... We just got Holly's car back after she got rear ended literally a week before I left for Tahoe.
  23. That 26" was WELL before the storm was over... We got over 30" easily... For some reason there seemed to be a band that stayed on top of us for quite a while. I didn't measure it, but my front deck is 36" off the ground and the snow against it is damn near the same height. Sucks tht my snowthrower won't start even with the electric start.. spent all day yesterday shovelling with nowhere to put it all....lol
  24. Just ignore the Blue fanboys... they love to troll on the JFBB threads don't they. Thanks for the T/R's guys... I'll be back soon.. I took the weekend off to shovel the 30" + that we got here as well as have fun playing with my little guys. Brookhaven took the bullet on this one according to the news... lucky us it's definitely deep around here.. Dan... you've got some work to do when you get home....lol
