  11. LMAO... That was a good day. I think Brian is still eating his hot dog...
  12. Rental cars in Jackson, and Colorado are a LOT cheaper than TAHOE... These rates are using a corperate discount through my wife's company... One of the other guys in our 4 some also has corperate rate structure and can't beat the rates my wife is getting.. We reserved a midsize suv for $285 without a ski rack but this was a while back and now we have 4 of us and it's not going to work without a rack. Minivan would only work with AWD or 4WD... we want to make sure we get where we want if theres a dump... we will pay the extra coin rather than save a few and be stuck with some fwd p.o.s. which can't make it to the resort because they got hit with dumpage... We're probably going to keep the $285 suv and look for another as well...
  13. looks good... both the conditions and the video quality...
  14. Go Both... but if you can only do one or the other... go this weekend, but start sat. morning and not friday. Friday is wmmr day and it will be a f'n zoo... of course it's only $9.33 a ticket so in that sense it's not bad... Pres. day weekend will be busy, this weekend will not be... go this weekend.
  15. Hell yeah man.... gettin the goods... ++++STOKE
  16. Love the JFBB stoke... will be back to my winter weekend wonderland in a few days as always..
  17. January 23-30th... not sure what days we'll be where yet..honestly we'll probably do a lot of it depending on weather... Heavenly 2 days (we are pretty much lodged at the base so this only makes sense...) Kirkwood 1 day (I won 2 free lift tickets to each of the following on a facebook contest to these so half our crew gets to ski free to these...) Squaw 1 day Alpine Meadows 1 day Homewood 1 day (thinking about going here in the middle of our week as it's the smallest, using it basically as a rest or light day as I'm sure we'll all need it, or on the 24th or 30th as those are weekend days and would more than likely have smaller lines than say squaw, or heavenly which we'll aim at going to on weekdays ) I also won 3 nights at the Resort at Squaw Creek I can use if we decide to stay in North Tahoe rather than driving back and forth for a few days...more than likely though I'm hanging onto that voucher for a return trip as it's good until Dec/31/2010 and we already have lodging at the Tahoe Seasons resort using my friends timeshare points.
  18. Kevin.... send Glenn a PM and meet up with him for a bit.... your impression of Winter Park will change dramatically I assure you this... It's a different animal for sure... especially if you've never been out west before. Like I said... PM Glenn....and meet up with him....BRAH! You won't regret it.
  19. Looks like January 23-30th was a good week to pick!!! Thanks Timeless... Your reports always get me stoked!! FWIW.. the prize I won came in the mail yesterday including the 2 tickets to squaw, alpine meadows, and homewood... We have 4 of us coming now in our crew.. staying at the base of heavenly, skiing 2 days there as well as one day at kirkwood. (as well as the 3 I won tickets for) Think I'm saving the 3 night hotel stay at Resort at Squaw creek for a summer trip out there with the Wifey since we already have lodging.. it doesn't expire until the end of 2010 so a late dec. 2010 trip could be in order as well... Still need to get my NGP's mounted, and car rental places are killing us with the full size suv with ski rack best rate so far for the week is close to $800 (3 skiers one boarder in our crew so ski rack a neccesity)...other than that we're ready for some POW!!
  20. 18 more days....

  24. Serch and I got there for opening and headed straight for east mountain... made a run down challenge then up the chair and was trying to get first dibs on the elevator which had some nice fresh cover on it. 1 person beat us to it by skiing through the trees at the top. Elevator glade was tough...too tough for me today I attempted it early in the day but there was no real choice of direction. You had to basically manuever your way in between the huge moguls that have developed in there, and the snow that was in there was all scraped off so it is basically a hardpacked bobsled trail at the top of it. On my 2nd turn my right ski popped off on a rock and went down the glade. I attempted two more turns on 1 ski and just slid the rest to where my ski landed. The Elevator was the best I have ever seen it first thing this morning. That deteriorated quite quickly, all the fresh snow was pretty much gone off of it by 9:30, but it's still skiable for sure. Even the little cliff there isn't an issue as there was a lot of snow around it and below it. Most people I saw were taking it skiers right, I made runs from the top over the cliff area, and skiers left of the cliff area entering from the steepest part, as well as from the skiers right which definitely had the most snow cover on it. FWIW skiers left from the top had the least. My boots were causing me all kinds of problems today, they're new still and with only 5 days on them there is still a lot of adjusting to do. Challenge glade was definitely challenging today as we hit it a little later and all the fresh was scrubbed off leaving it down to the hardpack. The liftline was sweet (Dan and I were the first ones to hit it today)... the liftline cut-through over to river shot was not.. Rock city...of course I found that out the hard way charging it rather than taking my time to see what was in there..(bad decision to grab first dibs on that one..) It snowed all morning and it was 14 degrees out via the car temp sensor, but it was a warm 14 if there is such a thing. One of the busier days I've seen there although never waited for a chair for more than 3 people all day. We hit some other tree stashes and split ways with Dan to head towards east mtn. Found some more stashes over there, one new one I never hit before which was SWEET... Peeked into risk it, but I bailed before the cliff as I was not skiing to potential by any means today for some reason. Floyd's was nice early, got scrubbed off quick as well. Mike and I left the parking lot at 1:30 and I made it home with my best time of 1hour 27 minutes. JADIP!!! The JFBB PASR crew was only 3 today as Dom had to teach over at Boulder.
  25. Hope tomorrow isn't crowded, than again it's never crowded at JF first thing in the am except for wmmr days
