Ha, thanks... BTW, she was fine...I was just paranoid. A friend of mine had a baby and noticed a freckle on his baby's leg, which he just offhandedly mentioned to their pediatrician. It turned out to be an indicator for whatever disease is commonly known as Elephant Man disease. One test later and it was confirmed that their child had one of the worst possible diseases. That's the scary sh*t about having a baby. The Undertoad can just reach up and pull you under like that. Anywaaaaaaaaay... Kindergarten, Poc... That's why I give her Mondays off.

She's at day 38th this season, but a lot were just for a couple of hours. Even though she was being a turtle and just tooling down Twood, we have a pretty good system at Montage where she straight lines down Highball over and over. She'll actually tucks the entire slope, so I get to follow her making turns and it feels like I've been skiing. And what keeps her doing laps on such a slow lift are the stories. Today was Cujo. Tomorrow might be Tommyknockers. Atomics? IDK, but I'm pretty sure she'll wanna ski whatever some hot racer boy is sporting when she's a J5. You'll make a great dad, Doug. You have empathy for little kids. But it's scary as hell. I'm still getting over all the nights I was convinced she wasn't breathing. She had lousy sleep patterns as an infant 'cause I kept waking her up to see if she was still alive. Really.

It was absolutley amazing today. Warm sun, great snow, and about a dozen other people. AND my little one jumped up to her 90's for the first time

With all do respect to the fine and necessary work that you do...don't you meet some newly "liberated" elderly sugardaddy's?
-
It doesn't matter what you look like, or how tall you are, or how blonde you are...as long as you're a girl. I mean, who cares if you're really a babe?...but guys get pretty freaked when the girl they are talking to turns out to be named Fred. Think about how much sh*t we'd be giving Doug for asking some GUY out to Red Lobster...he'd NEVER hear the end of it.
-
Shhhhhh...I was trying to start a rumor for the guys that might wanna buy it and cut some trees down.
-
Yeah, I got one a week and a half ago...
-
So you'll be a 6' tall blonde babe in a speed suit...
-
That's funny...it didn't occur to me that I was posting bad news.

Well, how 'bout the Middle Dutch word "fokken", likely used by Vincent "Vinny" Van Gogh. He was creepier than most of dem Bayonners. Not a skier, though.
-
One could argue, 'ole2, that it's the sign of a fabulous vocabulary, as it's a very old English word that dates back to the 15th century. And it has ties to the places where skiing originated, as it may be derived from the Norwegian word "fukka", which is an 'acceptable' word meaning "to copulate", as well as the Swedish word "focka", which means "to strike", or "to push". (I did a paper on it...)

It appears Bear Creek has decided to get serious about junior ski racing. This was just posted at PARA: "We are holding an organizational meeting at Bear Creek of Thursday March 16th at 7pm. We are attempting to spread the word to interested parents so that we can can their input for the 2006-2007 season. Bear Creek is going to be expanding the "Timberline" trail and turning it into a designated racing trail and arena. The idea is to expand the program to offer race training, clinics, etc. in addition to our NASTAR. Junior Development Ski Racing Meeting March 16, 2006...7 PM Conference Center Bear Creek Ski Resort 1 Doe Mt. Lane Macungie, PA"

Yeah, they've had that race for years. If it hasn't been moved, it's on a wicked flat slope. Very family oriented and non-competitive. Eh, maybe it's the "Family Fun" race that was held last Sunday that I was thinking of. But Alpine doesn't have any race leagues and I never met a serious racer there, so I'm sure it's just a recreational race...give the ski school a call. They'll be definitive.

The Phoebe Snow drops you higher than the diamonds...it's all downhill. If you park near that lift, you can also ski down to the right and skate a bit to get to the ticket window, btw. Lift lines? No. The average lift line Mon-Fri is zero minutes...five minutes at it's worst on a holiday, unless something is broken.

Our Montager, Tommy, was 3rd and made Future Stars at Sugarbush

Okay, here's the deal: The Hunter Mini WC is held to introduce kids to ski racing. You cannot be a USSA or NYSRA member and you can't wear a speed suit. It's a two run, dual course held on their NASTAR course. It's all about fun. Same day registration is $25. It's called a Mini World Cup just for the fun of it; they also name each of the three races after an actual World Cup event.
-
Give Hunter a call, but I think I recall it's just a fun race they run for kids. It's held on the regular Nastar course and I think they had at least three of them last year. Hunter runs a lot of small races, like for the local innkeepers and local chefs, as well as a big race for firemen. I suppose you could also ask DMC on his Hunter MB: http://www.huntermtn.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1

That week away sounds pretty nice...

I wonder if that high school cheerleading squad that was arrested last year for spiking the cookies they gave to an opposing squad with laxatives got their idea from that movie... Good stuff. The best "bad idea" might be the American Pie webcam scene. It was such an obvious thing to do, yet still classic. For action adventure best "bad idea", I'd have to say jumping the stream in Road Trip. Best "bad idea" for mean things to do HAD to be from Van Wilder, when they filled the chocolate eclairs with dog jiz* and fed them to the frat boys.
-
"'999, is that you? If not, you two have the same speed suit" Yeah, I know. I think it's cool. I love that movie. And I wore the same tux he had on to my prom.
-
Cool that you ended it on a good note, Missy. Did your folks see you fall? They might hide your skis. Are you going back up to beat Mancuso? I wonder if any girls will be wearing tiaras in the races....
-
See what I mean? There simply are no 6' tall blonde babes out there that ski. Nope. You don't exist.
-
Thanks, Schif..but sexkitten scares me a little. I'm still not convinced about the guy/girl thing. No offense Sex'---in fact, you're a little too good to be true. I still think you must freak Greg out more than my stuff...
-
No prob, Metz...be sure to get some more camera phone vids of them to share with Doug. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh
