  1. Well, we'll ski anywhere our sponsor will buy plane tickets for (right Dr. D ?) ...but, yeah, it's a humbling experience skiing with those guys after the races. Most beer league teams anywhere you go have a rabbit---a fastest guy to chase---but we have five.

You just have a slow sense of humor. You don't get some things, Corey. No problem. Let me explain: when someone attributes the things they do to the places they hang out, then the joke is really on the place, not the speaker/writer. Hope that helps, Corey!
  3. I guess I'm lucky that my kid never grows. But I did buy three sets of boots last summer---19.5, 20.5, and 21.5 mondo. Two were new and one is lightly used. I'd estimate I spent an average of $45 for each, delivered. When she finally grows out of the 19.5's, I'll list them as a Buy It Now for $39. Rear entry are much easier for the first year or two, of course. The Rossignol R18 is probably the biggest selling kids boot of all time. BTW, Poc, just out of curiosity what's her shoe size? And, yeah, I spent a lot of time driving to CB just to ski for 45 minutes. It was always a great 45 minutes, though.

I'm on PASR a lot, so it wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.

Geez, JordanA, lighten up. I know you want flame wars and no peace, but maybe take a break from trolling my posts, okay? Nobody at Sno is taking it hard that people are goofing on the Moose. The Moose was chosen to appeal to kids...I believe most Pocono ski areas target 4th graders for stuff like this. And as to the squirrel, most of the Google image results for gigantic testicles weren't really appropriate.

  8. No, no, just wondering. I used to lose them when I competed in bumps and did hard double pole plants. They are probably a safer design than straps.
  9. Dr. D's cold formula H2 swept all the top spots during last night's Sno's corporate league race. Congrats to Mike B. for being the fastest man on the hill...and Chris and Bob and CJ and Brian and Andrea... Anyone interested in an easy way to drop a second from their NASTAR times should check it out at Racewax Hybrid Series The Racewax H2 ran faster than Swix HF...Thanks, Marc!!!!
  10. Hey, Moe, what's with the oldschool pole handles?

So, Brian, I heard you were asking Darian Boyle if she had a boyfriend, last night. True?

  13. Maybe 4... Def something to look into. We bought Ty some pretty expensive inline skates that grow three sizes and they've been great.

We'll keep this fun and light, KyleA, okay? Lib's had a tough night. Your punctuation is problematic. I'm sure your college English prof could suggest a fix...like using a colon, instead of a comma. Your joke would work with a colon, but as it is, it has a reader wondering why you're talking to me. It would have been funny, though. Not super funny, but a little funny. And it wouldn't have been an extremely mean joke. Edgy, but not mean. I'd like to be their mascot. I'd have a cape and poke mean people's eyes out with my ski pole. So I'm not offended, KyleA. Not in the least. It was a good try.

  18. Hey, Poc, when I'm looking for something specific on eBay and I'm not in a rush, I just bookmark a search. Yeah, I spend way too much time on eBay, but I do it as a fund raiser for Amy's library...anyway, I'd suggest bookmarking this: 70cm junior skis And just keeping an eye on it. There's nothing right now, but by spring there will be a dozen sets of lightly used 70cm skis with bindings mounted. They do come in modern, shaped versions, and I recommend shaped skis even for little kids. The decent price range for good used skis with bindings is $85 to $139, +/- $20 shipping. There's a limited run for 70cm skis and they sell pretty fast. You will be able to resell them for at least what you paid...but I couldn't imagine selling Ty's first 'real' skis. I don't recall if I posted this, but here's a great Mondopoint sizing chart. I use it twice a year: Kid Boot Sizing Sorry if it sounds like I'm pushing something at you...I've just bought a lot of little boots and skis.

They commissioned a focus group study, is what they said at a public meeting prior to the sale. I'm curious what the choices were.
