Exactly! Just like BC's park makes them rival New England resorts for the fun kids have...

Yeah, I skipped the Roundtop one on that Saturday because the blizzard was coming in, then it snowed-out Sunday's ASRA at Blue. As I said, snow sucks. Doug def has the personality for adult racing. You'll becoming addicted in no time.
-
Yep. And Blue's race dpt sets one of the best courses you could imagine.

It's part NASTAR and part my formula. Take the gold medal HC range for your age/gender, which is 22 to 36 and the same for Jeff, which is 9 to 15. The mid-point for you is 29, while his mid-point is 12. So considering you are both expert skiers, then you get a 17% HC. I'm not sure how to create a more fair HC...

PAblows?

I'll miss SnowSnow...

So anyone know what Slopes will be open this Friday?

No season pass from Santa? -
If you go by NASTAR, 'Mom would get about a 17% handicap against Jeff. But the Jan. 22nd ASRA at Blue would be the best kind of race...

Scranton set a record of -4 this morning; we hit -6...

I couldn't care less about parks or this discussion, but PAsucks, it's pretty obvious you get your ass kicked all day in elementary school, then hit the MB's like a big tough guy. If people wanna hype up their own hills, WTF do you care? And has it ever occurred to you that the more riders you try and get to come to MC, the longer the lines will be? I seriously doubt some 4th grader like you has any stock in MC, so why try and make it more crowded than it already is? Listen: people are hating you in school all day, so why not act like a human at night and maybe someone will like you? Friends are a good thing. Try it. Heck, even we'd be willing to give you a shot. Now, pull that stick out off your butt and go help an old lady across the street.

Right Now for Lake Ariel, PA (18436) Partly Cloudy 0

You live in one of the places off the access road? Some nice digs. Even the firefighters sounded bummed when that one house burned to the ground a while back. 2 minutes to our ski area 10 minutes to Tanglwood 25 minutes to Montage 25 minutes to Big Bear 30 minutes to Alpine 35 minutes to Elk 40 minutes to CB 110 minutes to the Catskills

Thanks, MS...the snow phone didn't happen to mention anything but the upper 4 as of 2pm...just their way of keeping lift lines short, I guess. Gonna be one cold ass night tomorrow. -
X-mas vacation & New Year's? Anyone taking a trip?
Ski replied to Justin aka NJ_wakeNsnow's topic in General Chat
Don't give 'em any idea, Doug. But I assume it's mostly because you only have 72 or so golfers on a course at a time, so tee times are much more valuable for THOSE types of people. -

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I seem to recall that some ski areas make 60 to 75% of their entire annual revenue during XMass week. Glenn's log cabin idea at WF sounds pretty good, though. I remember a few years ago when CB only had either Birches or King Tut open the whole week. -

So a Hunter local, a waist steering guy, and Rob walk into a bar... -
Yeah, great idea, mess with Death's sister. No way.

Ha, yeah. I think it's pretty cool that you pull no punches, yet aren't really mean. I bet you make ThinkSnow a little nevous at times, though. EDIT: I piss him off, too, btw... -
I didn't know that, Death. Convenient for rides up, huh?

You have NO future in public relations, MS. -
I've been selling her on the 150 or 157cm adult Atomic SL:9's, with 3.10 or 4.12 bindings. I just think the Atomic recreational race skis are a good bet for anyone, especially if demoing isn't possible. There's nothing too drastic in any direction with the SL:9 or GS:9. I'm pretty sure she's looking at a high school team, not USSA, so there's no restrictions with length or sidecut. PS If you are eBay literate, then you can usually grab a pair at 1/2 the shop price. And, btw, the difference from '03 to '06 models are pretty subtle. As an example, here's a NEW set of Atomic SL:9 150's WITH Atomic 6.14 bindings on eBay, with a Buy it Now price of $458: http://cgi.ebay.com/ATOMIC-SKIS-NEW-SL-9-S...1QQcmdZViewItem

Today's recording is saying NO North Face slopes, yet. -
My recommendation, in order: Atomic SL:11 (a little more versatile than the GS:11) Atomic GS:11 Rossi 9X Racing Jr. Nordica Dobermann SLJ Elan RCX Volkl Jr. Racetiger SL (again a little more versatile than the GS version) Volkl Jr. Racetiger GS Fischer Worldcup SL Jr. Head GS Team CP14 Salomon Equipe 10T 3V Dynastar Team Omeglass Just my 2 cents... But I recall that you are a mid-teen, female? Maybe the adult Atomic SL:9 would be a good match for you. It's a soft flexing recreational slalom ski.

I can't believe you didn't go through the recruiting thing, Rob. You sick?
