    Grass Skis On Ebay

It's an international sanctioned sport run by the FIS (the same people that oversee World Cup skiing). New grass skis run from $250 to $900, from what I've seen. The Rollka's are like intermediate snow skis, while a French company is making a grass ski that is like an Atomic GS:11, or any equivalent. Americans have just spent the last 20 years showing they aren't interested in grass skiing. And grass skiing doesn't translate to any sort of jibbing, since they have to carve and not leave the ground.
  2. It'd be cool if it were for a free season pass someplace else...
  3. It'd be a porn shot if those chicks were on skis...oh, well...
  4. Well, a lot of 2nd year J3's are on 181's, 'Dude. My point is that a J1/2 USSA racer isn't buying a junior ski on purpose. A female beer league racer out west may find a 186cm, light junior ski a good match.
  5. J1/2's aren't skiing junior skis. They are legal for J3/4/5...most everything is. Exactly right, 'Dude.
  6. I agree 100% with this. Rob, you gave the guy a headache. Call it even. You really wanna pick this hill to die on? BTW, did you already give the guy positive feedback? Negative feedback was your only recourse with this transaction. If you complain to Ebay, the resolution would only be for a refund (minus shipping) and he's already offered that. I bought skis that had bindings literally ripped out, yet described as in "great condition". The seller even shill bid, meaning he'd bid up the price using another ID, which is illegal. The PayPal/Ebay official resolution for this fraud? Return the skis, minus shipping.
  7. "...the ad clearly stated "Turn Radius: 14m (@138cm). " That's just it, Rob. He doesn't say what the skis are at 143; just that they are 14m at 138cm. He certainly could have been much clearer with the exact specs and likely will be in the future. But I don't think he's bullsh*tting you by saying it's "industry standard" to list skis like that, since Ski Mag does it with their annual reviews. That's not exactly the same, of course, but it's just made buyers more aware that there's different radii at various lengths. He set himself up to eventually have a pissed off buyer. Your arguement it right, but his arguement isn't wrong. A no-win situation when there's such a high shipping cost involved and such a small profit margin for the seller.
  8. There were a some old pics as well as the first shot today that were apparently wiped out in my near-miss with the telephone pole and subsequest ground impact.

  10. Drive toward LBI and listen for loud music. And, 'Dude not 'til she's at least six.
  11. No, but I just gave her the keys to our shore house where she's going to be spending her entire last summer before college having a non-stop six week party. Actually, she'll be with eight or nine of her cross country and track chick friends and they were looking for an oil boy, 'Dude.
  12. 'Dude, are you bringing your pissy summer attitude up here on Sunday? I just wanna be prepared...
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of a junior set of Olin Mark IV's (circa. 1977).
  14. So the ski was stamped 11m, but the auction said: Length: 143cm. Sidecut specs: 97-65-85mm. Turn Radius: 14m (@138cm) Did you ask him before bidding what the actual turn radius was, or did you rely on the description of 14m at 138cm for a 143cm ski? Snowdealsnow is an awesome source for cheap gear, but he's a little clueless when it comes to specifics. I have an as yet unmounted pair of GS:11's from him and they came without a hitch at about 75% off of retail. You can always request contact info from Ebay and give him a call. I've done that three times when I've had problems and it's always worked out. But you'll always be stuck with the shipping charge going both ways. I bought a set of trashed skis that were unusable and the PayPal/Ebay resolution still had me pay for all the shipping. Of course, you can always ship back a similar sized, worthless item and see how that goes...

Ha, but do your girls have the bikini style uniform shorts? Track just isn't made for the cold.

Sorry, but I've just been told that they replaced their mountain board section with a canoe section. They were really expensive anyway... It's not Gunther's, but the shop that's a right off main street (heading north), then on the left. I think it's downstairs from a CVS.

There's a great shop in Honesdale, but that's way too far for you. There's always: http://search.ebay.com/mountain-board_W0QQsojsZ1QQfromZR40

BTW, Atomic, the slope is grass skiable as of today. Just one big pile of snow left from a hit, but there's a clear path next to it.
