No, not this season. But I hope everyone continues to flock to Blue and CB. Elk's "Best Snow" in Ski Mag also helped cut our lift lines, too. Montage is a dark and scary place and only the most loyal paskiandride people are welcome. Anyone else we catch will also have their edges rounded off.

I was doing leg burning laps on Easy Out then down Vista for about 25 minutes, which was awesome, but I brought home some of those Blue Mt. fries you recommended and they gave my dog diarrhea.

Montage is too dark and steep for most Blue Mt.-type skiers...empty slopes, cheap food and tickets, but waaaaay too scary.

It's not supposed to be THAT warm, 'Dude. 40's, then colder toward the end of the week. Didn't you hear that racers are supposed to have a drawer full of Cold Eze for the first signs of a cold? Get some rest and get ready to bust it at JF.

Excellent! Good to hear Atomic hooked you up.

I popped another set of old 4-12's on them. Not much better, but cranked to 12, they seem to hold on.

Two PA Cup giant slalom races come to Blue this Sat/Sun. Our own little 'Dude will be looking to clinch a trip to the state championship Finals at Elk with a pair of Top 30 finishes. Gettin' nervous, yet, 'Dude?

...a sunny, warm day and school was, uh, sort of cancelled today...

Well, Jib, I shove her out of the start house really hard...

She does. No leash. I'm just slipping the course (aka plowing out the ruts) for later racers (me included). The red jacket? People ask me for directions almost daily...always happy to help. But I won't tend to broken limbs.

removed (I'll just let Greg or Jeff delete this, but I couldn't help myself.) or nick...

Doesn't look like anyone else from this MB: http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?pagename=r...38769&year=2005 Skimom and 'Dude are there sometimes...as is my Evil Arch Enemy. But not Tuesday... Was it fun?

The new tv and radio commercial is the old country/rock "Some Kinda Wonderful". changed to "Lackawannawonderful"... My opinion is that it isn't good or bad. Just sorta there. After the first time, you just tune it out like a Ford Taurus car commercial.

Squeaky wheels got us all banned, Ski911.

I think Jack's a terrific coach, Sib.

Hey, Emtp, just imagine your son one day sitting you down...you notice he's sweating and nervous and having a really hard time telling you what's just eating him up...finally, he just spits it out: "Dad, I wanna be a Ranger."

There are still right and wrong ways to go about making a profit. The CB board members seem to aspire to become the McDonalds of Pocono skiing. Elk, for example, takes a vastly different approach to making a profit. If you prefer CB's plastic coated playland atmosphere, then all the power to you. I endured CB for the quality of race coaches. But closing weeks early to demolish the CAT/Patrol building and start the wave pool was just one of the sleaziest things on record. For them to lie about it, saying they didn't have a closing date leading up pissed me off. The contracts with the construction company included a starting date and were signed a year earlier. I dealt with it. I took my business somewhere else.

It's just people expressing their personal experiences. And it takes one bad experience to wipe out 20 good one's for most people. That's the image battle that ski areas all deal with. It isn't just Rangers; we skied down Sunbowl past these huge plastic toilet bowl summer rides. I hate that; some people don't care. And where were the shuttles on a busy Monday in which they had to open parking lots way down beyond the lower lots? CB can rake in the extra revenue from school closings, but can't be bothered to run a single shuttle? Yesterday, I shared nachos with cheese and a coke with my kid at Montage. With season pass discount, it was $4.25. I just don't feel like I'm getting ripped off for everything at Montage, like I always did at CB. In fact, I bought a big pig hat that oinks for $14. That seemed like a decent deal, too.

I was starting to wonder where Emtp was on this topic. As I recall, Ski911 is a patroller---a good guy. He has his opinions and experiences and we have our's. And they are nothing alike. But, yeah, they do have the right to take your ticket, as far as CB is concerned. Look at Think's avatar. He was one step away from losing his ticket, from the look of that red circle. The only reason Rangers immediately pull down the safety bar when riding the lift is for fear of who is sitting next to them. I think they sense what people like me are thinking.

Ha, I don't buy tickets for people that own more houses than me, 'Dude.
