Yeah, one good lap with the groomer up the middle wouldn't hurt, though...I'm really starting to consider the end of next week for a road trip.

Reminds me of that guy down by you, 'Dude. His teenage daughter had a friend over and they were hanging out, popping VHS tapes into the VCR. And, by gosh, what does one of those tapes contain? Hmmm, dear ole dad and man's best friend doing a "skierforever". Lesson? Either label your tapes and carefully hide them, or leave the dog alone altogether.

Yeah, Montage is much closer to me. But after DaveK is fired, we'll probably stop down once in a while and my kid has a race there in February, 2015.

Yeah, but it was DaveK's decision and he made it. I was fine with that. I posted something in really poor taste. When DaveK went to Gus...well, it'd be like me going to DaveK's kid's piano teacher and trying to start trouble. Think about it: say your dad pisses off DaveK about something on the MB, so Dave goes to Gus and gives him a hard time? Huh? DaveK made his decision, so I made mine to never buy another season pass at CB. Interesting PR move, if you ask me.

Hmmm...SnowSnow is a wacked-out pathologic liar. He just goes nuts on any board, even his home hill MB at Mountain Creek. He claims to ski 300+ days a year, flying from major resort to major resort. He posted that his family had moved here from Tahoe, but that they bought a new 2nd home out there, just to wing-back to for old times sake. All I said to him was that I wish I could've heard that conversation, the night his mom came into his room at Tahoe and said, "Son, I have great news: we're moving to New Jersey!" And in his crazy, pathological way, he claimed that his mom had just died tragically, that he would hunt me down and, blah, blah, blah... At this point, we're on a Yahoo MB, having moved from RSN to Hunter, to a Yahoo board. His name on the CB board was MCkillsCB; at Hunter it was something like Hunterislaughable. Really endearing. So I do a simple search for his IP address, find his ISP at Warwick Valley Telephone and start forwarding his threats to his ISP. So they cancel his father's internet connection at about the same time they magically open a nasty Trojan virus that crashed his HD. Boy was SnowSnow mad. After a year of being a bully on the MB's, even at the big snowboarding MB, things caught up to him. I just figured he was some little kid that got picked on all day and the MB's were his tool to vent and feel powerful. Well, he showed up on the CB board again last Spring and started to flame me, so I just quitely kept posting graveyard photos. I know...bad taste...but he was completely full of crap and I wanted to see how berzerk I could make him. He sent me 200 flame emails, all of which I forwarded to his ISP and he disappeared again for months. So DaveK banned me for life. It was worth it.

We hiked our hill today for this last patch. Then we went down to the beach and built some sand castles. Oh, well...

I just noticed they closed for the season. I was going to head back up tomorrow. Bummer. I guess they figured that unless they could make it to next weekend, they weren't going to bother with the week. Today's pic:

Nothing turns you into a spaz faster than long race skis in moguls. And lemme tell ya 'Dude, you're mom is sooo much cooler than mine. There just aren't that many moms I know of that when you ask them if they want to do 'that black diamond bump run, with rocks down the side' and they answer, "Yeah, sure, why not?"

I guess it's just some employee's daily chore; empty the garbage, line up the tables, start the fire...

The groomed slopes were nice from opening until about 10:30. Frozen, then a layer of corn that you could carve. The temps soared and it was still okay until you hit the big patched of slush and you had to skim through some spots near the lifts. It was amazing how much snow they had. Edge to edge on most slopes and the terrain park looked mid-winter. Pretty cool watching a guy land a 720 on skis off of a big-ass kicker. We had planned on a last run, but found a diamond that was steep and smooth and decided to do another lap down it. Odd though that it was 70-something and someone had started the big fireplaces in the lodge.

I didn't have any place to carry a camera, just a T-shirt and powder pants. We were making first tracks down freshly groomed diamonds and it was a blast until it got up over 70 degrees. Some pretty epic Eastern spring skiing. Amazing to watch 'Dude busting it on Ebay used rental 150's.

Hey, Slick, Belleayre is always a better deal than Hunna, unless you like the feeling of being surrounded by Starter Jackets, fist fights, and 30,000 rude people. And the Snowmaking Capital of the World is CLOSED.

I'm psyched...just got done with my assignments and am about to start loading my gear.
