Yeah, and although it's probably a terribly politically incorrect term, Powder Magazine uses it. Rules are simple: last man to the finish wins. Pushing, pole stabbing, and biting are all allowed. I guess it was the original Skier X.

Ha, could you imagine eight people at a time getting off a lift anywhere in the Poconos? It would look like the World War II films where they bulldoze bodies into mass graves. The slower the lift, the emptier the slope. Lift lines suck, but not being able to have a good line down a slopes sucks more. When I was in school, we used to always hit the last chair up at night and wait for the slopes to empty then have a Chinese downhill.

Holy crap, it wasn't so much the 8 degrees as it was the 30mph+ wind at Montage tonight. It's like God is trying to kill you for wanting to have fun.

"Rudy you may kiss my ass not on the left side not on the right side but right in the middle!" From the the original best movie featuring things to do in a gondola: Hot Dog-The Movie

No, I'd spend it all on beer and girls

Well, we could opt to take the Skidude groupie road show to JF on Sunday, but JF sucks just a little too much and we apparently just aren't that much good luck. And being a deeply unprincipled person, I'm waiting to perfect my printer's ticket forging skills prior to my next CB visit. Why is money so easy to forge, but lift tickets are not?

Tucking the bottom of Marjie's headwall, then hitting the roller just as it flattens and bends, is my favorite. But twice I've had dopey bald guys in funny yellow jackets follow me down to the lift and tell me it's just not right.
-
Do you ever wonder what it's like to go fast and launch off of a roller? To each his own, I guess.

Skidude in an earlier race... A better run, Skidude?

Alpine is in the middle of a rental/vacation home community, so they just 'stick' it to the New Yorkers. But I used to ski there one night a week for a team race league. You paid a $5 entry fee and it came with a free night lift ticket. Sort of like paying five bucks to ski Raceway over and over.

Mountain Creek is up to $52 for a weekend day ticket...for that, you get ice and 1000 people on every slope. And, of course, that d*ckhead SnowSnow. Weekend Day rates: CB: $46 Shawnee: $45 JF/BB: $45 Blue: $44 Montage: $42 Bear Creek: $41 Tanglwood: $40 Alpine: $40 Elk: $39

Actually, he'd be Polyester Knit Bonded to Breathable Membrane Man.

also: http://www.reliableracing.com They'll have a few brands. And The Loft usually has a few Spyder suits, as well.

Atomic and Think were a blast to ski with, despite the slight chill in the air and Atomic's propensity to careen through crowds and hit-and-run unwary children. "I think I ran over a little girl!" exlaimed Atomic. "Excuse me, but did you see the little girl you just ran over?" asked the Blue race coach, who had been skiing with the little girl. "What little girl?" asked Atomic. "Come with me!" demanded the coach, leading Atomic off to Ski Patrol jail. We should do that again!

The gut that posted this on the Daves board: Methods of getting to Camelback from Brooklyn NY?

The only downside to OLN's coverage of the World Cup this year is that they are covering just one race per weekend, while there are usually two women's and two men's races. I like Chad's color and always rooted for him, but the two English (inc. Nick Fellows?) guys did a great job of calling races in the past. NBC's World Cup camera work and quality is much better, but they are still running races from "America's Opening" in Beaver Creek and Park City from over a month ago.

Just two, so far. My current wife skis and is an awesome bodyboarder, so she'll be allowed to remain for a while.

I don't currently practice law. Seven years of family court in a depressed urban situation was more than I wanted to deal with. One of my goals is to never stand before another judge in my life. People who think doctors have a God complex should spend time in the Mercer County, NJ, halls of female justice. The best advise an adult can give a child is to get a good education in order to find the best way to screw around for the remaining 50 or so years of their lives. I'm currently self-employed and spend two hours skiing or surfing for every hour I work. Two of my ex-wives find that horrible. F them, I say. I've skied with both of their current husbands and they both fall down a lot.

Heating pad? Hmmmm.....doctors decided quite a while ago that heating pads and hot tubs were the worst thing for actual muscle damage and injuries. It's okay for mild soreness and stiffness, but heat increases blood flow into the damages tissue and increases swelling. Put a hot towel on a bad bruise and just watch the pretty colors. "Ice, ice, baby." Was that Vanilla Ice? So if you have a stiffy, wrap something warm on it. If you have a pull or tear, stick it in something cold, off and on for the first 48-72 hours, and don't look up any skirts for a while.

cisco1980/ski999 will be here eventually, hes a lawyer. i would ask my dad, but he'd get all nosy then I prefer Ambulance Chaser. This MB is 'not for profit', so nearly everything, including reposting and copying CB images is fair game. Off limits would be to make threats and, well, that's about it. We certainly tested the limits at the Yahoo Group.

This board is legal in both civil and criminal terms. Period. And I'd strongly advise against allowing the Daves access, unless you care to risk being banned from the CB board. Our little Yahoo Group pissed them off big time and I was banned six times until they finally gave up. No f*ing sense of humor. BTW, in case anyone missed today's Sunday Times of Scranton, Dave K had the following bright words to offer: __________________________ Not every ski resort is struggling to live up to last year. Dave Kulis, a spokesman for the Camelback Ski Area in Monroe County, said the mild weather hasn't been a problem there because the resort invested in new equipment that churns out snow faster. "We're well ahead of average," he said, declining to give figures. __________________________ Ahead of average??? Five days of 50 degrees and 16 days above 40 between Dec. 10 and Jan. 3rd. Is Dave K actually Baghdad Bob?
