They are scheduled to run NASTAR, but I have to check tomorrow and see when Interscholastic races are. They have three coming up and they replace the regular NASTAR. It's for little kids on up to high school age and it's run on the regular NASTAR course, so you'd be eligible for it, Chippy. They usually run them on Saturdays and there are trophies, but you have to sign up in the lodge fairly early. You'd be in the 15 and older class. It's probably the same price as NASTAR. It's pretty low key and the only difference from a NASTAR is that they erect a finish area and a couple dozen parents walk over and watch. I'll letcha know or you can call 1-800-GOT-SNOW and ask for the ski school desk...

Metzy hasn't been heard from... I sure hope so. Switch is listed as closed on the conditions page, but it looked like it had enough snow.

No worries, Chippy, she only gets bitchy with people she's got a thing for.

You should consider working out something with your dad. It worked for those frozen pizzas.

What's the vert on that triple kinked down flat up flat down by the courthouse?

Yeah, Sno has a hidden bump run down the right side of Boomer that they ski. Her coaches, though, make a point of searching out and having them ski just about everything. The Devo Team is about learning to carve turns and handle the entire mountain, which is why they also take them through the parks. I posted a pic a while back of them going down Boomer under the guns when big fluffy moguls had built up. I thought Ty was going to be miserable, but she said it was her favorite thing to do. But we get those kinds of bumps about twice a month. Ty is the shyest, quietest, most fragile little girl you could imagine, which is why I'm so amazed that this thing has been working out so well. It really is a testament to the coaches, which is one huge reason Sno has earned my loyalty.

It's funny, but she doesn't want to ski diamonds unless it's with her coaches. The Devo Team spends probably 80% of the day on the NF, but she gives me a hard time if I want to do laps down there with her. I just respect it and don't push her because she usually votes for Boomer when the coach asks which run next...but WL is the one slope they don't ski, which is fine with me.

Ty and I headed over for a few runs for her to test out her new skis. We drove up the access road through rain, then sleet, then a steady snow around 3pm. The lot was emptier than I've ever seen it. We got coated in snow just trying to boot up in the lot. I'd checked the webcam before leaving, so I knew they were open, but would have been worried by how few cars there were. Anyway, the top of the mountain was shrouded in heavy clouds and we took the Iron Horse up through heavy snow and fog. Switch was def blown on, so Thursday night's race league should be a go. And Spike has 30'+ piles of snow the cats are pushing around. I've never seen so much snow on a Pocono slope. They've been using a huge number of Pole Cats to pile it up. Looks like the imaginary 22' pipe will be open in a few days for the BB kids and Rob to hate about Isn't it sort of like a bunch of diehard ski racers bitching about a ski area that puts in a 70mph Super G course? IDK, I guess it's none of my business. There were a few inches of fresh snow over the groomed cord, which was a lot of fun. We didn't hit the NF because Ty was nervous about the 10 extra cm, so we just raced each other down the upper slopes. The first couple of runs we didn't see anyone either on the slopes or on the lifts, but six boarders showed up around 5pm. I kind of expected to take one quick run in the rain, but it turned out to be an awesome snowy afternoon. It's so cool to have a ski area to yourself in a snow storm...something we really miss since Tanglwood shut down.

Mike, the top of the Phoebe is windy as hell when you get off---the parking lot is probably the windiest place on the mountain---, but what NF slope gets wind? IDK, but if wind is so horrible at our tiny elevations anywhere in PA, we sound pretty wimpy to all those people skiing wide open bowls at 9000' out west. Just MO. Wind removes radiational cooling. It's usually warmer when it's windy, although when snow first starts it can drop temps slightly.

How does a single guy in the 21st century not own a nanny cam? EBay, young man....color and sound, please.

For those who don't know ski HEAD, I can verify he has spent his entire life living a '70's ski movie and probably has several sets of rocket skis and a closet filled with Squirrel Murphy one pieces next to collection of forgotten womens underpants. And I mean that in the most envious way, Mr. Head....

You've seen them already? You have to get a freaking camera, Doug. It's one thing for you not to share pics of JH poe, but you're letting us down when it comes to this.

I just realized he solves confrontations by posting tanned boobies. Def future mod material.

Thanks for the tr. You're def hardcore.

I'd imagine Mainline so it's visible from the deck? Gonna bring your art teacher, Doug?

The people I was with were saying how we were probably lucky not to be on Rt. 81. Was it a 68 car pile-up? A guy on the news said he was from Montana and when the weather turned to a white-out, people pulled off to the shoulder, while here people just stopped in their lanes. The Montana way is a little better.

Nah, that's it Santa. They all backed down like scared little girls. They ran and hid. All talk, then run and hide...
-
And just think about it, JordanA...the pic says arguing on the internet is retarded. The message is to settle things on the slopes. Maybe he'll come up with a more appropriate photo of you being a chickenshit and running away from a challenge. That would be priceless.
-
That pic was really hilarious 10 years ago. Douche bags. Enjoy your circle jerk tonight.

Shut up. Go take your hate somewhere else. Your poor little feelings were hurt because a mountain "bragged"? Could you be a bigger douche? Go sit on Rob's lap and have him tell you some soothing stories. Maybe you'll get out all the hate you have bunched up inside.
-
You assheads brought up Sean Jordon and how he was a better skier than me. So fuck you. Fact: the kid can't carve a turn. If you're so sensitive about the kid, DON'T USE HIM TO SAY HE'S BETTER THAN OTHER PEOPLE. And you don't have any say as to what threads I'm in. You're just a bunch of flamers and complainers. And you all went chickenshit when you got called out...seems to me that you don't belong in any threads, but, hey, it's not my site. Lastly, you and KyleA have shown you have no idea how a multi-million dollar business works. Screaming that you know what you're talking about and I don't doesn't make it a fact, although it does make you sound like Rob. You sure about that? Would you admit you were a complete dumbass if you found out I lived and raced out of PC for a few winters? Hmmmm? You two just talk out of your asses.

Well, I think you're little pussy because you fagged out of a Chinese downhill with me and you said this: "I would, but I'm too busy frolicing with skis wife." You get personal with my family, then you cry that you get hate in return. That makes you a little bitch. So, yeah, you're just a little pussy going to school near a mountain you can't even ski. Sean Jordon is better than you? I watched a video on NS and he can't carve a fucking turn. Your driveway is steeper than WL and BB's jumps have more vert than Sno's NF? You're just a moron. 5 Days a week at PC? For how many years, KyleA? Lemme guess...this is your first year? Pfffttt...you know shit.
