  1. Front flips and back flips. Didn't you have a pool growing up?
  2. Glad to hear you got duped.
  3. Cool, you can ride the chair with me all day
  4. Thanks, flea, great to hear, especially that Cannonball was holding up. I can't imagine why Boomer was shut down, since they hit it so hard during the last cold snap and there's no way it was showing any bare spots. Smoke's upper headwall is usually the first to get muddy. It'll be a dead weekend for any crowds, for sure... Great TR! Are you going to move up here? Yes, for sure. But there are so few skiers/riders, I really didn't think they'd shut down Boomer.

    Bode Update

Not really, considering this is A THREAD ABOUT BODE. Ask yourself, DH: 'Is this really what I want to do, tonight?'
  6. Message from ASRA regarding this coming weekend's races at Elk: As of 3:20 PM, Thursday Jan. 10: Elk Mountain races have been tentatively postponed - they are expecting 3/4 inch of rain this evening and tomorrow AM. It is possible, although unlikely, that the rain will be light, in which case we will re-evaluate, however, since many people will be staying at local hotels, etc, and need to cancel, we needed to make the preleminary decision today. I will post followup info as soon as information becomes available. The final decision will be made at noon tomorrow. AJ
  7. That's awesome..just don't break your neck and miss next soccer season.

    Bode Update

What a queer, leading, self-serving thing to ask. A slight tickle in my stomach? Uh, yeah, DH...I watched this FOUR DAYS AGO and just couldn't wait to post. That was pretty weak, DH, even for you. Bode did win the final downhill training run at Wengen by about two second. Did you see it?

    Bode Update

After celebrating his arrival in Adelboden last weekend with trips to six different nightclubs in three days, Bode Miller went on to nearly finish the first run of slalom and giant slalom on Saturday and Sunday. "I feel good about my performance," Miller told a Skiracing Magazine reporter follow his second DNF on Sunday. "Racing isn't about results. It's not like anybody's keeping track of these things."
  10. Yep. It's what we did last season. The more the merrier.
  11. Why not race as an independent? Just sign up at the ski school after 5pm...it's just $8 for passholders. C'mon, it'll be fun. And you definitely won't be DFL.

Yeah, the were both veterans of the US Ski Team.
  13. We're gonna have to rely on 'Kitten for a ruling on that.

After all Rahlves has been through, I just can't picture skierx being for him. Kind of like a Hollywood actor who's won an Academy Award taking a small part on a sitcom. But with all the money he's made, it goes to show that he's doing it for the love of the competition, which is cool. I saw his first ever skierx last year and he crashed in the first turn. I believe Puckett won, or maybe Crist.
  15. My late wife skis one of the the Atomic versions and she loves them. Especially since she was getting hand-me-down junior race skis before she bought the Balanze skis...

He's won the last 10 out of 12 events he's entered...in 81 World Cup starts since 1981, he never finished on the podium...he really found a home in skiercross.

It's def a controlled version of a CD...I've skied a skierx course at Beaver Creek, but not with anyone else on it and it was rutted out from the day's comp. It just seemed to have so much potential, but it didn't catch on in the US. A great skierx course just seems like it demands the best all around type skier.

    Warm Again

Ha, and when it was 2 degrees last week it was global cooling? If he was my dad, I'd be a raging drug addict, too. I took my doors off Nick and Wolverine21 thought I was nuts when I was trying to describe that the other night. There can be a 10+ degree difference from your knees to the top of your head when it's like this.

So, Justo, you've earned the title of expert on this: what sort of skier, in your opinion, is best suited to win a skierx...park skier, racer, great all-around skier, or is it just about the hole shot and holding the position?
  20. Baloney. You're in Wyoming and---out of the blue---decided to slam the superpipe plan, even though the weather is crapping on everyone in the Poconos. Good for you. I believe the tons of snow on Spike is just for jumps and rails, so their priority was the terrain park and the NF. The rest of the upper mountain has never faired well in 60 degree weather no matter what...
  21. Rob just gets all fuzzy when it's bad for everyone. No other reason for that post.

  23. Thanks...
