We've crossed paths, but mostly just know a lot of the same people. I had a girl who raced for Gus at CB, then I raced ASRA a little for four years after she went to college. Now, I have a little girl starting with Coach Steph and Colleen. Oh, and I did the Thursday Night races at Sno, but I don't think you hung at in the bar all that much. Anyway, this board is pretty unique because---even though we sometimes argue like idiots---we have get-togethers called PASR Days and quite a few of us have been skiing together for years.

Ha, he was kidding, Coach. TP4 would puncture an oil tanker in Alaska if it would make jibbing off icebergs any better. And I happen to know he eats baby seal meat on Ritz crackers.

Welcome to PASR, Coach!

Wonder what'll happen when he asks for a police escort somewhere in Germany...

Hahahah, what the HELL are you doing watching sh*t like that? Then posting it where Mark could see it? Have you ever seen Beavis when he gets all excited and starts to vibrate? WalMart...F*ck Yea!Slavery...F*ck Yea!Big t*ts...F*ck Yeah! Bode works at Split Rock?

I know you don't understand. But when an athlete admits that he could have been successful had he not been out partying before the biggest event, then what the hell does it it take for you to get it? Okay, so all junior racers should quit USSA and PARA should fold and now lets really see how your way works. Lets all just let the kids do what they want and get rid of all the antiquated rules. Stupid f*cking rules...lets encourage kids to disrespect coaches and act like assholes at race camps because being an asshole is much cooler than commitment and hard work. Maybe you're right, Rob, and your guys running bulldozers on your next project should not feel bad about showing up wasted or hungover. Stupid rules.

So Poc, do you think it's now unpatriotic to make fun of Team America? Even Rob's got to admit Bode's looking a little rough around the edges:

With all the money now in ski racing, it's a huge difference from when independent racers had to act like PBS fund raisers just to get travel expenses covered. Team Koz sure didn't have a support staff beyond one coach/boyfriend. But now that Bode is in charge, will he be a wiseass to himself? Is he now the uncool establishment that he has to rage against. What a f*cking tool. Team America? Pffffft...party on, Garth...I mean Bode.

Right now, Versus is showing a little bass angling with Roland Martin. Apparently, Mr. Martin is one great freakin' bass fisherman. He's using a 16 lb. test line, Knuckle, so he can get deeper with the bait

Probably JT, considering where he moved to...

Uh, about those slutty Halloween pics you promised to post...

Looks like the Blue NASTAR course will have a new regular this season as a NASTAR mod has moved to Eastern PA and is homeless...should add some interesting posting to the NASTAR MB---as well as here when he finds us---as Blue gets compared to some of the Western venues. Anyway, the new guy was Gary's suck-up bitch who banned me from their MB because I called Gary on his baloney, but he's a nice guy otherwise. Doug, have you posted on that MB?

Jeez, they need some junior college tech help to let them know they don't have to remove their entire site for a month to do "some preliminary work to integrate it into skinet.com."
-
Their site was down for weeks, which is really odd for this age of cheap alternative servers and backups. I had assumed they were doing a design overhaul, but it's unchanged. Must have been a nasty hack.

Versus is the former Outdoor Life Network...they used to carry four races every weekend, then cut it to two, before dumping all races except for the early season North American races. It looks as if Americans will have to watch crappy little feeds on our computers again.

Early season US races, then it disappears to internet subscription: http://www.usskiteam.com/public/tv.php?&dId=6

The World Cup race season opens this weekend on the glacier at S

We walked out the upstairs entrance of the lodge and directly upslope past a smaller building and equipment. We went up to the top of the School Hill and there's a path to the dogleg of Easy Out. I'm not advocating poaching, but I don't think it's inappropriate to discuss an obvious way some people may be finding their way onto the slopes. IDK, maybe there's a barrier there during the ski season.

Speaking of scanning at a gate (like at Blue) instead of ticket lines, why don't more people just sneak onto the slopes above the learning area?

Alpine is a mild version of an already mild Shawnee. Or, it's a gnarly version of The Hideout Ski Hill Except for the headwall where they used to have a bump comp, it's a very large green circle ski area, with a few runs that are almost intermediate. The best the about Alpine is the crowds are almost always better than Shawnee, but the lifts and runs can't get really bad on Saturdays. Alpine might be the #1 Pocono area for percentage of first-timers. There are a couple of cruising runs, but you def spent most of your day tooling up the slow lifts. Kat and I skied in one of their annual races years ago and you had to skate at list six times out of the start, then skate again to get through the mid section Alpine can be a fun spot for a group during midweek, but there's no real draw other than to avoid Shawnee. But one word of caution: do NOT stand behind groomers. Ever. Doing so does not end well at Alpine. Anyone remember?

I'm pretty sure any mafia has long deserted Scranton for places where money changes hands. Oh, hey, Schif: are you of the Schiff's meat store?

It's not too late.
