Roll Call. Sunday 3/9 & maybe Monday morning. Conditions?
Ski replied to TT C6's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
You set a bad example, Doug. hola -
You worked at a Pocono hill headed to NELSAP. That's gives you bonus oldtimer cred.
-
Ha, well the JLA is over, so back to usual.
-
Let's not get Chippy interested in those movies. Funny story,,,,eh, no, nm......
-
Too late, Chippy, no take-backs
-
TT C6 now has everyone's official permission to slap you around, Chippy.

ThinkSnow owns UPS---well, just about. We support Big Brown

Toast, man, I'm totally disgusted with that crap. That is just sooooo freaking lame. Those bases are dry as sh*t and just dying for wax. Please check out the shotski wax specials at RACEWAX.COM

Can you drive back to school and let us know what's it's like?
-
Tell us about it, Schiff! Radar looks like you're getting hit.

What a friendly response to a question. My track record on Pocono ski message boards goes back about seven years. But, yeah, my recent track record is dealing with hostile people like you. Lighten up.
-
UPS would have put them right in your hands. FedEx is so oldschool.

"You gonna use any of those free tickets you scored at KOP and check things out?" I was just asking if you were coming to Sno. If something happened that I don't know about, then, well, I don't know about it. I wasn't picking a fight. I heard you scored some comps and was just asking if you were coming up.

We need a good Ginger Lynn thread, Philly. I wonder if Chippy has any of JP's later movies?

"The most precise measurement ever given for the length of John Holmes' *** was 12.58 inches, cited in SCREW magazine." Just a fact check, Philly. There are a lot of kids on here who weren't alive back then Now, lemme go Google for some pics...

Helping lead Racewax.com to another Thursday night win, our own Bobert540 hooked a gate with his left hand and probably snapped a few things, prompting a trip to the ski patrol chalet. The ensuing discussion: "Is it broken, Bob?" "I don't know. It feels like it, though." "Want help carrying your skis to your car?" "Nah, let's go ski White Lightning." "You're nuts." "It'll be okay, I just won't use poles. But my girlfriend is gonna kill me, since she's going to have to drive the whole 10 hours tomorrow to Hilton Head." Hope the trip to South Carolina was peaceful.

I'm pretty sure that as long as Mr. Carlson is Prez of Sno, skiing will always be the priority, though. The waterpark is like a fundraiser for the ski area. With CB, all the water rides are mixed in with the skiing; at Sno, you'll escape the unburried rides when you're down on the NF, sort of like how CB is when you're just lapping Cliffy. With the current weather and economic trends, the ski areas that are a little out of the way will have to have summer features to survive. Just my 2 cents...

More than half your post are about me. Talk about obsessed.

Yeah, you're right, Big. Early staffing issues, maybe? Funny, but I heard from two different people the idea that was floated around here last season about a $10 pass for the NF during April. Everyone pays, including passholders. No amenities, just the blue ticket trailer. It's looking like a better and better idea with $3.27+ gas prices, which makes a trip to Belleayre cost $30+ in gas plus the lift ticket.

Word from the bosses is that the guns will go on all over the mountain Saturday night as soon as temps permit and run non-stop until temps go bad.... The NF tonight was pretty good. Smoke is closed to prep for the weekend races, which will be the first time USSA has held a multi-state championship for high school racers. Another big event for Sno, which had earlier held PA Cup races. The best slope was WL, which had been groomed recently and had some great soft snow on skier's left. Pretty amazing how the flooding rains really didn't seem to have any effect on the mountain. Our regular race night went off on Switch and coverage seems to be edge to edge everywhere. There was one tour bus in the lot, which I just happened to get behind when I was leaving. We did 20mph all the way to the railroad tracks. Must be hard to drive those things in the dark. Groomers were running the cats all over Spike, mostly working on a jump above the pipe. Saturday is going to be absolute crap if the forecast holds, but it'll be a cold rain and Sunday should be prime.

There used to be boundaries, Brian. When people would argue, there would be limits. If certain lines were crossed, then people would get banned. It was pretty effective and there were long stretches of peace. But, like the mods and ThinkSnow have said, this is the new policy. It's Think's site and he can do whatever he likes, take it or leave it.

DH, do you understand the line when it comes to certain words? Legally, there are some words and phrases one adult can't say to another without opening themselves up to a lawsuit. That's all. Why do I even have to explain that to you? Oh, and I'm glad you think PASR is better with Rob and these little crybaby haters. BTW, if you ever have a young teen kid and a doctor tells you he has a fracture that could be life threatening if he doesn't let it heal and someone calls you on it, is he just some dumb cocksucker? Goddamn stupid doctors and coaches of this world, eh?
