I'm not George Steinbrenner, dude, so ragging on the Yanks doesn't cause physical pain. You can argue that as being the biggest choke, except for the 25 World Championships they had already won. Most sportwriters that I know--and I'm a former one--tend to stay away from that one because of the long and storied history of the NY Yankees. Also, if you knew a lot about baseball, you'd look at the Yankee starting rotation and know that being up 3-0 was not comfortable. The Yankees were relying on people like Jon Lieber in game 6 against Schilling, then the horable Kevin Brown against Derek Lowe. Brown was one of the worst signings in the history of the Yankees, considering how much they paid for him. He had a bad back, arm, and everything esle. He just couldn't pitch. So the Yanks went up 3-0, then Boston took two. So if you are up 3-2 in the Series, is it an upset that Schilling and Lowe won their starts? That series is viewed as a huge choke by people that hate the Yankees or don't know shit about baseball. And the word faggot bothers you that much? It's a word. Like bitch and wuss and queer and any other word. Some of our members might recognize it as slang for a cigarette in their homeland. I have a friend from a dance club that I've known for years who is a fag hag. Know what that is? I'm pretty sure you're looking to put it into the same catagory as a racist term some people use, but that's a tough sell on me. None of my gay friends were ever captured and brought here from Africa on slave ships. Also, I was at a high school wrestling match down at Nazareth Wednesday night---I believed they wrestled Jeff's old school...while doing teams pics before the match, I heard that horrible, offensive word about 30 times, when they were trying to get each other organized...so if you want to be word police in this world, you have a huge amount of work ahead of you.

Maybe that's a funny line if you're drunk. When you find someone that thinks you're clever, make sure you don't let them get away...he'll be hard to replace.

That PASR would be an even better place if the current marketing dude spent some more time with us...even though I've been tough on CB during his watch, he's a really good guy. So, before he's demoted from an important position that can help with some inside info to under-lift-clean-up-detail, I'd like to nominate him as the first unofficial mountain rep Ass Clown. Thanks for listening, Craig. Some of us are still as pissed as ever, but I look forward to taking a run or two with you when you come up and ski at a friendly mountain---if we ever actually open.

Firstly, who are you to judge me? Secondly, I like Phil Mahre and have had chances to talk with him a few times. He's a classy guy. He's also one of Bode's biggest and most open critics. Phil's pretty old school and doesn't race or run clinics drunk. You'd have gotten better advice if he'd been your coach at Hood... Are you familiar with the old US Pro Ski Tour? My all time favorite racer, Bernard Knauss (Hans' brother) single handedly kept Phil from ever winning a title. Those were the peak years of US ski racing...big money and dual GS courses.

We sent them to get taser and stun gun certification...and some have concealed weapons permits. Eh, not as good as having a fully loaded Mark watching over us, but we don't have much crime.
-
PM me your mailing address, Shadows...I'm signing over the check, if it does actually arrive. You can write them a nice note on the back when you cash it, bro...I didn't mind giving CB my mailing address since I live in a gated community with armed guards.
-
Danger, just for the record, go back and read your name change thread. We teased you about the name change, then I teased you about caving in. I'm sorry if you felt I attacked you. I was really just trying to prod you into sticking up for yourself.

Crowds? On a weekday at Sno? I can't picture it. But, yeah, not getting at least one NF run open with ample snowmaking time is horrible and I won't believe it until I see it.
-
All I asked was for CB to reimburse Shadows for the remainder of his pass from last year. That would have been a cool gesture and would have gone a long way with a number of people in this community. I don't want "free" lift tickets to CB and I'm really not interested in a $22 check. Everything I said about my experience was true, Craig, and I never got personal with you on this or the CB board. yawn.
-
You needed to follow me here? Want to know what I'm wearing? And for the record, what exactly was easy? Telling me it's still in the mail? I started this thread for fun and to have a poke at CB...it's sort of sucks that Crag's a nice guy---it would have been more fun if he was more Kulish-like.

It would be fine if it was November. It means a short blue square and no North Face. If true, it's TERRIBLE.

Greg, are you kidding? CB is counting on people not airing problems. That's one reason they shut down their own MB. So when a ski area calls a paying customer a liar, refuses to measure a child that is 45" and makes you pay for a junior ticket, then pretends they are the manager, we can't make fun of them? Are you really telling me not to post that Craig said he was sending me a check 13 days ago and it's apparently taking the long way here? Hey, this is your MB...just delete the thread and ban me for being a troublemaker for CB. You're the boss... BTW, Greg, did you notice the fair assesment of CB I gave to the lady looking for a program for her 4 and 6 yr old?

No way! Please tell us you're kidding!

Here are some numbers on Phil... He began the season with four races at mammoth. On 1/2/7, he finished 16th in a slalom for 72 FIS points. The penalty was 41, so it wasn't a super competitive race, but had a few good points people. Weird to see his DOB of 1957 next to his name...a kid born in 1991 finished fourth. On 1/3/7, he finsihed 20th in another slalom, with 70 points. All his bibs are in the 80's, so he's seeing some major ruts. On 1/4, he finished 16th in a GS with 72 points. He's running both slalom and GS at about a combined 5 seconds out. 1/5 was his breakout, finishing 2nd in GS, for 41 points. He was .84 back after run 1, then WON run 2! Then, he entered three races at PC/Snowbird. He DNF'd the first GS, was 49th in the second GS, and was 56th in the slalom. I'm a big Phil and Steve Mahre fan and wish him the best. But I don't see any posibility of making the USST. He needs to win these races, or be on the same second as the winners. But you never know... Word.

All you post are insults and jabs. You aren't particularly clever, funny, or smart. Just download a few pictures of me and head to the bathroom to get it out of your system. This is a great weekend beginning tomorrow...stop gaying it up posting about me. Move on.

We'll be there at Noon, or so. It'll be interesting to see if they worked on Long Haul and have U/L Runaway or Fast Track. It's a risky lift to ride, for sure, since it breaks down so often and is slow as hell even if it works. But if you were the new owner, wouldn't you feel like you had to have at least one lift that runs top to bottom? We'll just be chillin' on whatever's open on the NF.

Okay, so on 12/30/6 CB marketing guru Craig promised a full refund for the scam they ran on my 45" tall daughter... I thought it would be fun to see how long it takes...it's now Day 13 since the check was "put in the mail" from the Tannersville post office traveling to the Lake Ariel post office, which is 30.84 miles.

Just for the record, I wasn't kidding. And, sorry, I'm married to a woman, so I can't help you if I wanted to. How about you just stop posting about me? Ignore anything I post that worries you or makes you feel uncomfortable. I know I embarassed you and that's why you keep mentioning me---but get over it. It's history. Move on. Harass Jeff, he doesn't mind.

Why don't you stop thing about me all the time, faggot. Half your f*cking posts are about me in one way or another. Go join a gay dating sevice, or something. They mentioned he was trying to qualify for the USST during an early season celebrity race.
-
Thanks, big... And I'll see you ASS CLOWNS at Sno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Monday's a big holiday, so they'd def stay open until Tuesday...maybe the cold returning will have them just keep the lifts running.
-
The chick on the washing machine doesn't click in either...no f*cking wonder they can't "shred" bubbles or paper. A lot better than Jimmy and Johnny having to take a leak commercials...
-
Well, they're doing a heck of a job keeping it all secret...the "check the website on Thursday" update hasn't come and the phone message says to check the website. I was across the valley this morning and couldn't believe what I saw. Sno looked like Hunta at it's best. It looked like they had every gun blazing. It was 50x anything I've ever seen on that mountain...

With these temps, they have no reason not to spin the lifts Friday. And with the 1/2" to 1" snow coating the area (which oddly seems like a major storm), a crapload of passholders would seriously run out of patience.
