Fuck you, Corey. Your mom get gang raped by some gang of racers, or something? Talk about an internet bully. Come see me in person any time you little fuckwad. Some asshole parent says a doctor warns his kid with the fear of God not to enter a comp because of an injury and I question the parent, but you see it as out of line? You are a fucking moron, then. Rob's burned out one kid and now, according to a doctor, is risking his other kid's health. Corey: come call me a cocksucker in person. Bring your dad, too. It'll be the last time it ever happens. Looks like some rain for Saturday. Karma, eh? You are just plain ignorant about everything. Asshole.

As I said, Rob, since you can't seem to fucking read, it's not an issue with adults or even 17 yr old kids about to play in a championship game, but a small child who is barely a teenager. By your own words, you are going against the doctor's advice in a case involving a child. By your own words, you've left a potentially serious medical decision up to a little boy. You said all this shit, not me. But it pretty much sounds like you'rem just full of baloney. I've had cracked and broken ribs a dozen times and it's a bitch just trying to roll out of bed (yes, even as a teenager). My sense is that you took him for an x-ray and it was nothing, but you like the drama. At least. that's what I hope. BTW, I'm sitting in my wife's library next to an ER nurse who says that you would be making a big mistake by allowing him to ski under these circumsatnces. But, of course, everyone in the world is a liar, except you. Then your own doctor fear mongered, as you put it. Does he have alterior motives? Or does he just have strong concerns about a child's welfare? And you are correct that it's from a traumatic injury---such as a ski accident---but age has NOTHING to do with it other than older people generally have more fragile bones. So it's more common in athletes and the elderly. Duh. Yeah, nothing wrong with you, Rob.

Thanks, Big!!! Awesome news. They are prepping Smoke for the PA/MD/DC/VA high school championships this weekend, btw.

Rob, all history between us aside for a moment. Just parent to parent here. Okay? Are you crazy? It's up to him? Who is the fucking parent? Sure, pneumothorax can have different levels of severity and an air leak can seal itself, but a collapsed lung is a serious condition and can also be life-threatening. "If air continues to enter the pleural space, a tension pneumothorax occurs. The large amount of air may push the center of the chest toward the other lung, compressing it. This is life-threatening and requires immediate insertion of a chest tube between the ribs to relieve the increased pressure."---Oregon State Health Dpt. I'm actually astonished. Did you really take him to a doctor (near Hunter?) and have an x-ray? Or is this just baloney. Jesus, I hope you're just bullshitting here. "The doc put the scare in him about possibly puncturing a lung if he wrecks again." Didn't that put any sort of scare in you? I would rather believe you are lying about the accident happening and are trying some Curt Schilling fake bloody sock stunt than believe you'd risk a child's life. BTW, if it's true, then you are putting both SJA and Sno Mountain at some risk of lawsuit by your son and his mom, I'd imagine. Even as adult racers, we often sign a form saying we don't have medical problems which could be made worse by competing. Rob, I could even understand a senior in high school wanting to play in a state championship football game, but Steven is a little kid with zero judgement in matters like this. Lastly, I would NEVER try to intercede other than to appeal to you.

Local Colorado hippy snob...BB rocks!

You gonna say hello tonight? BTW, the front page of the website is saying all trails are open.
-
I went ahead with some FluoroMax Warm, with T4 on top. I actually don't have any T5...but I'll be adding a powder on top.

Tonight's race is ON and confirmed for Switch.

I've run an internet security company that has forwarded nearly 7000 internet predators IP addresses to cops in all 50 states since went into business in 1997. Secondly, I have annual FBI background checks done because I work in schools in a number of states (it's cheaper and more thorough for my parent company than multiple state police checks for our 60+ photographers). Thirdly, I coach co-ed youth soccer for my daughter and NEPSAY requires a background check, as well as rules of always having two coaches on the field during every practice, game, and function. That's me, Rob. 100% above board. No hidden cameras filming teen boys and no invitations to children to spend time at my beach house. What you do throws up some red flags and I'm aware of at least one restraining order that's been filed against you. Just so you know, I will be running your post past my attorney tomorrow. I'm sure it's nothing right now, but I know how you can't control the things you write and expect it to escalate.

Everyone has moved on seanyj...even the doods looking for info after calling people homos. Jeez, it just isn't that hard to know this stuff. But speaking of hard, you def should car pool down to the Delaware beach this summer. Post a TR!

You don't have to take a shower with him unless you really want to. I never heard that part of the nursery rhyme.

I just watched a feature on the guy who was left for dead and spent the night 1000' from the summit with no gear, only his coat, and it was -20F. He had a really shitty time. A sherpa even poked him in the eye to see if he was dead. I found it interesting that poking you in the eye is their test. In another 15 years, you could become the oldest to summit Everest, Sib. One never knows what's ahead....

Now you have to kiss him. Not my rule.

I don't do rails, but I use jumps and the 13' pipe. But, like I said, that's not the point. Rob will spend hours defending Bode Miller, but he hates everything to do with racing, right down to calling guys in speed suits gay. You just can't take some people's words at face value. Some people just have an agenda behind everything they say or write. That's why I was interested in your posts---I didn't see some skewed agenda behind them, but, like it always gets on here, your points became lost on me with all the outside flames and then your own 'digging in' with Flea. I've done the same thing a hundred times---defending a position and going too far in the process. No worries, Method. I happen to love where I ski and they are selling a health number of tickets. All's good in the world.

Thanks, Moe! ...I think Doug caught that from a waitress at Iron Lakes CC a while back.
-
You're right. I need to buy a cooler beach house.

She said to say thanks and that she'll play you Wii tennis for a dollar a game the next time you visit. Her words, not mine...

Huh? You meant if you took your pants off?

Nox is cool. Any relative of TP4 is okay by me. And your point, DH?

You're about the least clever person on PASR, JordanA. Same old homosexual hate references. Sure, it can be funny once in a while, but there's a real trend with you. Maybe you should consider a sensitivity class at school? Just a thought.

I'm a hands on sorta guy, Method. But your missing the point, which is Rob's motive. Look at it this way: Say you wanted to buy a car dealership, but had to get a town's approval because you also wanted to expand the lots. Now picture some other guy who shoots his mouth off endlessly, saying you're a crook and that you have no intention of being a good businessman. He shouts that you just want to tear down the surrounding trees and then sell it all off as real estate. He writes dozens of hate letters to the newspapers and threatens to call every inspector's office with complaints he admits he'll just make up. Now, a year or so later, your dealership is open and doing pretty well. Then the guy calls you and say he's never been to your lot, but he's going to review your business for an article he's writing. He tells you he knows more about your business than you do, although he's never sold a car in his life, or owned his own business, for that matter. I hope you'd just tell the guy to fuck off and understand that some people are just pathetic blowhards that love to hear themselves talk. Secondly, Method, I believe in thoughtful people who have a real interest in something. I'd take a run or two down a park with someone who cares about the park and skiers/riders and listen to their input. Heck, that's how we inspect every race course.
-
It was an offhand offer of peace to the guy, in case you missed the subtle undertone by Doug. Whether TT takes him up on it is another thing.
-
You're still posting about this, Rob? Everyone already knows you think you know everything and can judge the quality of everything just by intuition. Let's see some cracked ribs footage from Hunter instead!
-
Yeah, it's a real drill for sure. I've had to do it at race camps and every USSA team does it. It was always an effective threat by the CAT coaches when the kids were getting lazy...and they added that the kids would be hiking up and skiing back down on one ski. Isn't the old saying 'pain is weakness leaving your body'? But it does great things for your skiing... Oh, and come to think of it...remember two seasons ago, or so, when Bode lost a ski in a dowhill race and kept going on one ski? He even tucked some of it? The announcers were all saying things about how stupid and risky it was for him to continue. They said he could have easily gotten badly injured. I sided with Bode on that one..his response was that he'd had at least a dozen coaches make him ski countless laps on one ski, so what was the big deal?

I would have thought you were around last spring...you missed the gigantic free shrimp in the Grille, too?
