Good write up...I've been going to Big Sky every year for about eight years now...Some of my friends live out there..some work Big Sky and some work at Yellowstone Club...but with out them I would have never discovered some of the hidden gems there...It really is an awesome ski area...I have yet to do the Big and some of the gnarlier A-Z shutes... The place is just one big rock...even with a decent snow pack.. It funny last year I went round trip for $400...This year it's $600...I think there is a direct flight from Newark like once or twice a week..but I could be wrong..I do a one stopper in ORD..fly outa ABE...and I flew Delta once and it sucked..You know Delta stands for Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport... Glad to hear a report from there...I leave in two weeks....

The past few years I've been staying at the Village Center....I dig that it's ski in/out...When I'm on ski vacation I don't want to pile stuff in the car and drive or ride some buss to the mountain...Plus they have a breakfast buffet that is effin killa....This was the view from my suit last year

No way they go into April...They have a wine festival on the fourth of April so they won't be open...need space in the lodge.... If the crowds are good they may stay open to the 29th....One can only hope....

Moonlight might be your best bet since it's more north facing...A ride up Challenger and down the Headwaters might be in order..I always thought Moonlight had some good tree skiing...The Madison base area is a cool place for lunch or a brew....as is the Moonlight main lodge....Do you know if the North Summit snow field is open?

Thanks...It has Libs C1 camber tech which I've never had a chance to try....Couldn't resist the price so if it's not for me I'll just unload it.... Gonna ride Big Sky/Moonlight/Bridger next month.....

Two brothers from NH developed the Teleboard in the mid nineties...Google search will fill you in....I couldn't quite figure the thing out when I saw it from the lift...The guy riding the thing was pretty good at it....

Touring on skis is so much more fun than running in the winter..Got out today for a couple of miles..
-
Got the touring skis out this afternoon....went about four miles to help break in the new boots in.....Forgot how much work it is breaking trail though thick snow...
-
I was surprised they left as much as they did ungroomed....Place is small ,so in no time it was tracked out...Good riding for couple of hours though..Pretty much go where ever you wanted to...
