Making Turns

Making Turns (3/10)

  1. All looks sick...New features look fun and stickers look nice too. We gonna see any legit big jumps this year Tom??!!
  2. It would be really sick if cascade could get one more rebuild before the hike park. I feel like its been the same since January and the rails are pretty boring since alot of them have been in the same spot for the past two years. Pole jam to down box would be sick, a big corrugated tube just set on the ground with a tiny urban lip (just like the beg. of the year). Set the small down flat down as a flat-up-flat. Idk im just pissed i have to come back and ride the same old bear creek when I came back from Loon mountain for the weekend. btw-look at loon moutains park set up and the way they groom their jumps. That place is soooo fun and the park vibe is amazing.
  3. In my opinion, to have a legit contest which i am assuming bear wants; they have to make it cash prizes and no entry fee, or at least make an entry fee which then goes to the winners. A lot of people are not going to be doing this contest because there are no cash prizes and the entry fee is too high, esp. when there is a contest at hunter mountain the same weekend with no entry fee and a bunch of cash prizes. Inviting people is supposed to attract good riders which a lot are sponsored and don't even need or want the swag that bear gives out if you win.
  4. In my opinion, cascade really isn't impressive at all. Same stuff different year; pretty much sums it up. Quarter pipe and wall ride are fun but everything else im pretty disappointed in. Wheres all the creative and different stuff???? I know everyone on park crew has ideas but why aren't they getting put to use?? The park has let me down this year.
  5. that knuckle on the second jump looks gnarly!!! hahaha
  6. how big is that jump on tubing?...it looks nice from what I can see from the web cams.
  7. Plus, Will didnt just order the regular mass produced rails. He put all of his own specifications and dimensions on the rails...Their all custom built. Can't wait to check it out.
  8. that new down flat down and high bar look sooo sick
  9. Will is gonna make this park sick. Hes got some really unique good ideas that are gonna make camel real sick this season. Camel is actually gonna have a decent jump line, talkin boulder comparable jumps. Im heading up there for the first time besides that rail jam at the end of the season to check everything out. Im sure its all gonna be crazy. Camelback is in good hands. And all you camelback locals better talk to Will cuz he will definently listen to you. YEAH WILL!
  10. Make the run-ins relatively flat so your not going down a big mound of snow into a jump, it feels really awkward. TWO jumps on tubing first one 30ft next 45 to 50ft with steep landings and no rollers in front of the jump. multi hits in tubing is unnecessary. last jump in tubing could be designed in a sort of step-up way. Not a true step-up, but enough so that it when you land, it will put less pressure on your legs and hurt less if you fall. check out the red bull gap session jump (of course bear couldnt build a jump this big) but it helps.
  11. If anyone should get hired for park crew this year, it should be Matt and Nick for sure WTH!
  12. Thanks Nick...haha i didnt take the time to read the whole write up about this stuff.
  13. like to see a little jump to a snow butter pad to a down rail, like the one from the ROME jam except smaller with the rail as an urban down rail...bring back the A-frame set up from last year too
  14. that seems pretty cool, prob. really good for a rail jam in the summer
  15. hike park is so sick...alot of flow to it.
