No they arent toast. pay attention. Other years they close with waaaaay more coverage. i dont remember a year where they closed with like 4 trails open, barely holding on. i mean, we have all skied some funny shit on some closing days, but in my recollection they have been over 50% open on the last day. I dont how they are gonna patch the Titanic back together with some bubble gum and keep it a float. Even i know when to give up. i just dont understand their tactic here.

it looks like lower main could be taking its last breath. Todays report shows challenge is open, falls and lower sidewinder closed. Is there some type of bridge i cant see from my house that gets you to homestretch? I know they keep saying sunday isnt closing day, but what will they be able to cobble back together for next week? i appreciate they dont want to throw in the towel, but they are really fighting an uphill battle.

it interesting to me to see the specs of a lift like that. a 500 HP motor is no fucking joke. A Baldor 500 hp motor is about $75,000. It would be interesting for find a price tag on it. so much involved with getting rid of a lift.

i feel like the trail count went up overnight. i dont remember skiing 11 trails yesterday. Did they mention one of those trails is in Danielsville? cause, you know, it was a little windy last night.

did you renew Indy? my second year of indy and i still have yet to make it pay out. Indy is such a good deal, but i cant justify it again.

i think that would require them running a compressor. Nobody would see the compressor running, so it doesnt add to the show. Kudos for turning some stuff on, im sure it will go a long way on the FB, but they are just fighting the weather, and the weather is going to always win. i work in a very weather dependent business, and i learned this a long time ago.

i wonder if they are running any of the snow guns that arent in front of the cameras.

Pond skimming is March 17th. We are under a flood watch today. And its going to be a little warm next week. Closing March 17th. It makes no sense to make snow after the 17th. Its spring. yes, there might be a few hours where they could blow some Blue Mountain Gak, but its too little, too late. Its spring. its only going to get warmer.

not really, i just wont mentally drain myself wishing for things to come true when its an unlikely situation. i would rather be surprised than disappointing. i just dont think they can push snow that far. lower paradise is going to be the problem, not NMDW.

I really want skiing to go on forever, but im a realist. NMDW has tons of snow. But paradise will be a problem. Razors has tons of snow until you get to the runout before homie stretch. I guess they can start pushing from the sides. Next weekend it will certainly be “experts only”. Lol.

Challenge was bad this afternoon. Weirdly bad. Razors was super fun. Raceway to midway is spicy. They cut midway in half farming snow on it. groomers will need to really put that oscilloscope or whatever to good use to keep some trails open. 24th? LOL. yeah, i’ll be the first to say it.

i saw a pic of RT on the FB this morning, i think from yesterday. shes lookin pretty rough.

Of course, Side and Switch would have still been open if they didn't waste days of blowing on NMDW so they could put features up. pretty much the same argument.
