  1. Not sure i will be able to sleep tonight in anticipation.
  2. I will easily kill a full pot of coffee at home. This is what my next job will be like. go for 8-10 hrs, work, go home and forget about the job. I think something like stocking shelves at the Giant. The after work phone calls, emails and texts are getting less and less glamorous every day. I work with too many people that think nothing about picking up the phone to call me on a Saturday that i have off. I try really hard not to do that to other people. every once and a while you just need to check out from work for a while.
  3. i dont grind beans, but i do brew coffee at home. Kcups at work, which i find to be ok, but i would never do kcups at home....i think it equates to like a pound of coffee ends up costing like $40.
  4. Honestly i dont even know what a French Press is. i like Foldgers, Dunkins pretty good, provided i get to put my own shit in it, Starbucks is for assholes, and Wawa is what will work in a pinch.
  5. Where is this big breakfast you speak of? Toast would call that "just getting warmed up."
  6. Normally its real quick. Thats kind of vague, but they are way better than Buckmans 1-2 weeks for a tune. I dont think i have ever waited more than a day for anything i have dropped off there.
  7. This is more for storing stuff....like i a spare pair of skis, community poles, or an extra pair of snowpants (xxl) for when you forget yours. I would bet Enjorales has some type of cooking appliance that could be stored in there as well instead of dragging it back and forth all the time. We can leave a fire pit, or propane heater in there as well. So its not really stupid, i think thats pretty harsh. Salty once told me living in a Hotel House would be stupid, but i told him not everyone always shares the same opinions, and he shouldnt be so quick to judge. Calling it a Lodge might not be quite the best word for it, but i wanted to class the place up some, rather than just call it a "shed."
  8. Mike, the bar will fit in just perfect. I put a cool prowl front on it so the will look like they are almost one unit. Im just about to the point i can break it down into pieces. Basically have to sort of figure out the easiest, and quickest way to put it back together.
  9. Really looks like some favorable snowmaking conditions come this weekend. Without a doubt, i would say BBEPIC fires up Thursday PM. At least i think based on the forecast, Peak would. we will see. Whats Blue gonna do? Is the carpet and massage parlor done at the lower lodge? Will it class the place up enough? Might need a hand to expedite the Blue Mountain PASR Parking Lot Lodge sooner than anticipated.
  10. I think we will find a place for it, it shouldnt be that big of a deal as long as everybody does their part and helps out moving it from Blue to wherever. Arent you "in" with the people at your Hotel House? it should really only take up one parking spot.
  11. i would say it was built onsite, not prefabbed pieces. Its not in real good shape.
  12. Working on the Blue Mountain PASR Parking Lot Lodge. It will take a few trips to get it all there, but should go together pretty easy.
  13. Next people will want to move Christmas if it snows.
  14. i hear a lot of people saying November will be colder than normal. Thats all i need to hear for now.
  15. I took the guys at work out for BBQ lunch, so i needed to refrain from having a big stupid dinner.
  16. I found no enjoyment in handing out candy. Really wished i could have done something else. Did they do trick or treating at you Hotel House last night?
  17. I saw that on FB too. Getting my shit ready.
  18. FB rumor is Brighton might spin lifts this weekend.
  19. It did go through, it seems that lawsuit went away as quick as it popped up. They are officially Epic. Unless opening that early is deemed wildly costly by Vail, i would tend to agree, i mean, they need to make snow when it gets cold. If they would skip making snow in like a cold - warm - cold pattern for more of a sustained cold pattern, then maybe that reflects an influence from the front office. I think there really wont be many changes to normal operations this year. I also think Vail wont be stopping by with the big bag of cash for upgrades that folks think will happen. Peak was purchased for the sole purpose of adding people to the Epic pass. Like i said, it will be interesting to follow along.
  20. I just heard they are opening a massage parlor in the Valley where the ski shop was, and new carpeting in the cafeteria for a more Vail-like experience. It should be interesting to see how closely they follow their ways of the past now that they are "epic".
  21. looks like a real change for the better by the weekend. Heading in the right direction for sure.
  22. But no lines? Get with the program.
  23. Doug resurrected the old thread, it was in 2017. It was also a piston popper 400 park pro. So, that means 1 of about 3 things. 1 - They destroyed the 2017 and want to give it another go. 2- Peak Resorts bought Blue and are planning on turning every trail into a terrain park, or 3 - the 400 parkrat is a versatile machine for grooming some of the best ice on the east coast. You guys wanted upgrades, i dont see what you are complaining about.
