It did go through, it seems that lawsuit went away as quick as it popped up. They are officially Epic. Unless opening that early is deemed wildly costly by Vail, i would tend to agree, i mean, they need to make snow when it gets cold. If they would skip making snow in like a cold - warm - cold pattern for more of a sustained cold pattern, then maybe that reflects an influence from the front office. I think there really wont be many changes to normal operations this year. I also think Vail wont be stopping by with the big bag of cash for upgrades that folks think will happen. Peak was purchased for the sole purpose of adding people to the Epic pass. Like i said, it will be interesting to follow along.

I just heard they are opening a massage parlor in the Valley where the ski shop was, and new carpeting in the cafeteria for a more Vail-like experience. It should be interesting to see how closely they follow their ways of the past now that they are "epic".

looks like a real change for the better by the weekend. Heading in the right direction for sure.

But no lines? Get with the program.

Doug resurrected the old thread, it was in 2017. It was also a piston popper 400 park pro. So, that means 1 of about 3 things. 1 - They destroyed the 2017 and want to give it another go. 2- Peak Resorts bought Blue and are planning on turning every trail into a terrain park, or 3 - the 400 parkrat is a versatile machine for grooming some of the best ice on the east coast. You guys wanted upgrades, i dont see what you are complaining about.

If that steam engine is there, count me in. That thing is cool as shit.
-
Well when you think about it, there are alot of man made features through out Blue, cookies, root rollers, ditches, etc, so it kinda makes the most sense to get a Park Pro.
-
Do you have "insider info" on that, or is it just from that tweet? I actually read that differently, it says "check out the new groomer, and some additions to the park", if you look at the other pics, there is a guy welding up some metal things you might put in a terrain park. The pics arent great, and as far as i can tell, neither are his welds, so i'm glad i wont be on top of that thing. You guys wanted improvements. There you go.

Nice, its a Jaguar something-or -other? I can tell its definitely not a 1970 Chevelle.
-
Cool pic of the sun. Grass, meh.
-
They have obviously been mowed over.
-
Maybe even borrow Dougs Hotel House, or get his own for a little while.
-
nice! They dont look like 170's. How long did Jlaw say he would need to be with those if you got them?
-
Actually i think the "hotel house" is funnier.

Just in case anyone doubted my previous statement that "Barb doesnt do anything half-assed", this should make that even more apparent. Nice set up Barb!

Which makes you wonder what kind of thinking went into Blue posting that its fair game with natural snow. "hey, lets litter this new trail with pointy objects sticking out of the ground and then tell people we are cool with them skiing on it if they like."

I broke down and turned the heat on in my house last night. Kinda wish we had more open the windows type weather this fall, but at this point, lets just make it snow.
-
They should actually say its 305,000 sq ft, which sounds massive to most people.

The robot is on the look out for spills on the floor. Never know when some pregnant woman's water will break or when that 3 yr old pees on the floor. I dont get it either, but it doesnt end up in front of me in line looking for exact change.
-
You guys expecting improvements at Blue will be disappointed. I, on the other hand expect nothing, so any improvement will be a nice surprise.

i love self checkout. But then again, you have these people that abuse it by taking a cart full of groceries in it. Alot of people frown on self checkout as its basically a way for the store to get you to work for them. I'm totally fine with it if it gets me out of the store quicker.
-
Dont get me started with people paying by check at a grocery store. Or people that feel the need to search every pocket, purse, etc to find the 47 cents to make exact change. This is why 90% of my shopping is done online. I have recently begun purchasing the non perishable grocery items from Amazon. If anybody needs coffee, deodorant, or shampoo, let me know.

is that a direct copy and paste from last year?
