  1. Smoked pulled pork.
  2. Make no bones about it, i am notorious at work for being able to "make something work" thats broke, with a clothes hanger, some duct tape, and a hubcap, but it doesnt mean i fixed it or refurbished it.
  3. I cant take credit for this idea, since i heard it last year from someone else. But the early season dilemma of making snow top to bottom ran through my mind as well. IMO, refurbished means older machine made to run like new. I cant for the life of me figure out why they cant make those lifts operate consistently.
  4. Then you might as well make main street go to the bottom of whatever that teaching hill is, and put up another super duper high capacity lift. 3 high speeds to the top. But as Indiggio pointed out, getting lots of people to the top fast, isnt necessarily a good thing.
  5. just cause you are sidelined from riding doesnt mean you skip the end of season party. You wont be the first person to attend with hardware to keep body parts together.
  6. Provided all of the Peak resorts are direct access, which i would assume they are now for passholders, yeah, this would have to be a huge savings to be fucking around looking online for stupid 10 fucking percent off coupons, and spending any amount of time in a fucking ticket window line at 10 am trying to get a fucking pass for 1 person out of 3, when 2 people already have a direct fucking pass that doesnt require going to a fucking window. What a fucking waste of fucking time. Time = money. This is a concept lost on the OP.
  7. Not that i think this will happen, most of this is a conversation Jlaw and i had........but..... no more parking lot shenanigans...or we would probably be banished to some muddy shithole way in the back lot. Classing up the lodge and parking lot will take money they will need. Its unlikely they will just swoop in with their big bag of cash and just start throwing money at the place. The lifts need to be classed up way before the lower lodge, and i still dont get why any of us care about the lower lodge. The top lodge is cool, been there once when we had lunch last year on a pow day. I have said it before, Blue is kinda fucked up sometimes, but it is our kind of fucked up. If you are really on board with Vail buying the place, make sure you are on board with paying more for skiing there, whether its an Epic pass or just a Blue pass, no complaining from you guys. Personally, i would gladly pay more for my pass, if it cut down on crowds. But i dont think im on the Vail boat thus far.
  8. Good call.
  9. Great day. Would have been outstanding if it was a little less crowded, but the snow held up really well
  10. See what we would be missing if Vail bought Blue? First its good till end of April. Then end of March. Now its "limited quantities." Cant script this stuff.
  11. from the webcams it looks like its nuking snow. Hope they decided to go sight seeing instead.
  12. Sat. unlikely Sunday.
  13. Im willing to bet sales of season passes are a little lower than they anticipated at this point. To get some green coming in now they announce them in “limited quantities.” I would say price is good to the end of the month. Thats just my worthless .02 cents. No “insider info.”
  14. Thats a great price if you take advantage of it, like you have. But anybody over 29 that has no intention of skiing anything other than their home mountain just kinda ends up paying more for a pass to their home mountain.
  15. Here is one thing i know about the weather, since i have to deal with it on a daily basis. (not in the winter) Forecast is accurate about 3 days out. 10 days out, i am sure you can look around and find a forecast you like, and 3 you dont like. I dont really see how WF forecast would really be much different than VT generally speaking. I do believe we may have "seasonal" to above average temps next week, and then cold again. I would wait 1 week and see what the forecast really looks like. I doubt you will have trouble finding lodging.
  16. Ahhh, drifter pass for people under 30....that makes sense. keeps the little park rats with a pass, pretty much knowing they wont make it to most other places.
  17. I think alot of Peak passholders get hosed on this deal. I would bet there is a large percentage of JFBB passholders that have never been to another Peak owned resort on their pass. At least from the Pocono area, its not too bad to get to Hunter or MS, but from Roundtop add 2 hrs or so. I forget what my last JFBB pass cost, but i am sure it was considerably less. I left there for Blue because i wanted to ski with the best skiers on the east coast, but even if i was in love with JFBB, that pass price point would have me looking elsewhere. Dont get me wrong here, NY and VT are cool, but if i am going to drive to NY, i think it would be Gore or Whiteface, and if i was to drive to VT, i would pass Mount Snow and go to Stowe, SB, Smuggs. Skiing out West will always be priority trip in my book.
  18. Imagine that...Tom is smiling. Looking good Tom!
  19. Forecast looks pretty good. still jealous...........
  20. Please dont keep us in suspense here.
  21. You probably wont know this, but it sounds like they built this last night or this morning? Yesterday there were like Taylor Swift sized bumps, but now it sounds like they are Kim Kardashian sized bumps? I thought NMDW was pretty flat yesterday.
