    Snowmaking in progress as weather allows, via Elks FB. Its 28 degrees there right now, and i dont see snowmaking on the webcam. They suck too, just like Blue.

    No. Could you imagine if i did get socks with pictures on them? Everyone would assume the pictures are of me. Then i would have to explain that i dont know who is on my socks, or where the pictures were taken. What a nightmare.

Let me rephrase that....who the fuck cares whats going on at Camelback?????? What the fuck kind of world do we live in when they cant make snow at 31.3 degrees????? I bet Bear Creek is just laughing at everyone else with their "Mr Chilly" they bought a couple years ago to cool the water. On a more serious note, whats going on at Elk? Havent heard at all if they are making snow or not. I asked for ski socks for Christmas, BTW. Just thought you guys would like to know that.

    i saw Whiteface was getting snowed on pretty good too. 40 degrees and cloudy here. Awesome.

    If they use the same duramax engine as the 2500's, thats a pretty good engine. We have had 2 here that were run really hard, and still keep going with little maintenance, unlike the Ford diesels that just blow up at 120,000 miles.

    I think this is the target audience for that truck and engine combo. 2 salesman at work have them. Nothing ever goes in the bed or on the hitch except their personal shit, on weekends. They are both getting new Ram's shortly, not real sure why they arent going back with Ford, maybe they just want something new. i think Ram is the up and coming truck though. There is now a diesel option for the F150 as well. Havent heard anything awesome about it, and not sure who would by it.

    From what i have been told about the ecoboost, is the minute you go to tow something, mpg's go in the toilet. like more so than any naturally aspirated engine.

    Humidity is probably the biggest hurdle for making snow in this area. Cloud cover is never great, and when its going from 36 to 25 overnight, you have to take into consideration how long it will take to get that low, and how long it will stay in the snowmaking zone. They might be able to freshen things up a little, which any little bit will help until we get to a nice cold snap which will hopefully happen around Wednesday of next week.

    18. which from what i am used to, is pretty good. Camaro gets about 15, which it really should do better than that. The Monte Carlo gets a shocking 17-18 on the highway, but around town its horrible.

    ^^^^thats kinda marginal too. The window there is really thursday night, and thats probably just a few hours if it does really get down to 25.

    Automatic. I have only driven one car that was 3 on the tree. 73 Jeep pickup. It was a tank. rode like a tank, and consumed gas like a tank. It might have gotten 10 mpg on the highway. 4 wheel drive worked well though.

    I have a strong dislike for the upper lot as well. Usually i only end up using for maybe 2 weekends, before the valley opens. Weather forecast doesnt look so good, might be there a little while longer yet.

    I dont really know if there is a superstar weather app. I guess it depends sort of what you are looking for, short range, or long range, and by long range i mean a week. Accuweathers 90 day outlook is a joke. i watch the weather alot for work. I usually compare 3 sites, accuweather, weatherbug, and weather underground(same as accuweather btw). If all 3 say its going to rain tomorrow, its pretty likely that will happen. if they all sort of show something different, then roll the dice, pick one. I am pretty sure those three base their forecast off of different models. Dark sky is kind of a cool app. Forecast Adviser is interesting, being it shows the accuracy of different sites. EPAWA is kind of interesting. Problem with weather apps and such is how often they are updated throughout the day.
