Are you down? If so you're more than welcome. As is anyone else who can fit in the flex. no HSQ = no GSS

Elk is always expensive. no way to get around that. I feel like the past two years at Blue that week was less crowded than i thought it might be, maybe that translates over to Elk as well, dunno. Christmas is on a Tuesday. I actually wish it was on a weekend.

MId week in between Christmas and New Years if things get going early would be fun. Not fun if its 3 trails.

Again, all the more reason for this......

Like throwing darts at dates. 3 years ago they opened in January too. It was actually opening number 2 that season.

$2500 is a pretty big nut. 2 things i neglected to come forward with. 1) the kid still charges me next to nothing. Usually we trade services if we can. I do some work on his trucks, and he mows my lawn. He actually hates taking money from me, and would actually let me get into debt with him for thousands and probably still not ask me for money. I have to go over his head and work it out with his mother that does his books, to get paid up 2). My lawn is tiny. But to me, a huge pain in the ass to cut and trim with the fence in the backyard. I hate cutting grass so much i had a tractor. One time when tracty was broke i borrowed a push mower thinking “ehh, this wont be so bad”. It sucked twice as bad. Some people can tolerate cutting grass. I cant.
-
have someone cut your grass. like just for a few weeks. I always used to think i wouldnt pay someone to do something i am physically able to do. I put my buddies kid in business cutting lawns like 8 years ago. I havent touched a mower or weed eater in as long, and i dont have any problem paying to have my lawn done. I threw all my lawnmowing crap out. its simply a chore that i dont have time for, or i can find something more enjoyable to do with that time. I have no time during the week to mow, so if i were to do it, it would be on a weekend. I can think of so many things i would like to do on the weekends than mow my grass. i cut the grass in the poconos twice a year, and i borrow a buddies mower to do it.

Basically any space below grade is inherently damp. Keeping humidity in check is important in a home or crawlspace. Crawlspaces are an interesting part of a home that most people would prefer to ignore. I have seen crawlspaces just wrecked by moisture.

Come on now.....i cant be the only one that needs to comment on this like...... TMI or Well that gives new meaning to “sausage sunday”

Ebac. I bought 2 used on ebay. I know the one that just took a poop i paid $299 for. It was used, and it lived a full life in my crawlspace for 6 years. Before that, i went through appliance store dehumidifiers like you did. The other one is in my basement, and i just happened to look at that one and it was built in 1997. Still chugging away. They are commercial restoration dehumidifiers. If you go this route, just be aware alot of these dont come with a humidistat, they are meant to be plugged in and run non stop. You can get a humidistat that plugs into an outlet, that you plug the machine into it so you can set where you want to shut it off at. Or you can buy me a beer and i wire one into the cord for you. They are great units, but im kinda getting the run around on getting a new one and this one returned.

I agree with most of what you said. I have no patience for shopping whats so ever. I love when stuff shows up on my doorstep. and yeah, returns are usually fairly easy. my last 2 internet purchases where fairly big $ wise. i bought a car cover, and a commercial dehumidifier. the car cover was missing some stitching. They were super cool, they told me to keep that cover until i received the new one they are having made. But im struggling with the dehumidifier. It doesnt work properly. At some point it will need to get shipped back, its freight, so its a huge pain in my ass at this point. plus i still dont have a working dehumidifier. the people i bought it from seem like they will help me out with it, but first i had to contact the manufacturer to start a support ticket, and they have proceeded to tell me i dont know what im talking about, so im just jumping through hoops at this point with it.

And have sat weirdly un occupied for a few years. Not sure why.

I think salty has the ski stretcher. I think the results were less than stellar though. Send them back. Get what you ordered. Its not like you will use them tomorrow. My 2 most recent internet purchases both need to go back for one reason or another. Total pain in the ass. Has made me rethink internet purchases.

I'm actually pretty good at breaking into vehicles. Especially ones that i dont have to worry about scratching or causing other small imperfections. Sometimes you just need to look at the situation and work backwards from the end result. i have gotten into a locked truck with some wood scraps and a pair of jumper cables. There are plenty of things on the back of the truck for someone to get creative with. Unfortunately one of those items was also a brick. There were also about 50 people there with phones. And he was wearing a shirt with our phone number on it. If you get creative enough, you can work around most things, like changing a tire without a jack. you are correct, not a lot of people with PHD's apply for jobs here.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner.

I have just decided, i am going to write a book. Anyone that is not me, would find the everyday bullshit i have to deal with super funny. the stuff employees come up with is priceless. An employee just stopped at a job about 4 miles from our shop. got out of the truck, left it running, and shut the door. the door somehow got locked, and his phone is sitting inside the truck. What does he do?

Greek Peek is about as far as i would drive to ski one trail with 10000 other people. I would much rather wait to make a trip when there is way more terrain open. I would rather meet up with you guys at Blues parking lot, don my ski gear, look at green slopes, talk about how epic the season will be, drink a beer or two, and do dumb things in the parking lot, than drive to Killington for one slope, that has you walking up steps. Thats at those condos that have always been vacant, right? The big huge hotel looking thing? I'm not in a great spot. The charm of having a lot of flexibility in the winter, with sooo much BS the other 9 months of the year, is wearing off. Benefits are such a big deal though.

And if i wait another week, and go on a weekday, i might get 5 trails, or wait another week and get 10 trails, or whatever. see where i'm going with that? if im gonna drive 6 hrs, i want to make it worth my while. i cant make 47 runs on one trail. That would put me on pills.
