Blues Tent sale is this coming weekend. At least thats where their tent ended up with yesterdays wind.

I like Whiteface. The town is pretty cool too. That being said, you are going there to ski Whiteface, or Whiteface. I like options. This is east coast skiing with variable weather conditions. I will favor Vermont for options. I like Utah for this reason as well.

I turn my A/C on in May, and shut it off whenever, which was like last week this year. I hardly ever shut my A/C off in the summer. There are just so few "nice" days out. There is no skimping on A/C. I hate the heat and there is no way i will be uncomfortable in my own home to save a couple bucks. Cold doesnt bother me. People tell me my house is cold in the Winter. i call it comfortable. I havent gone full bore on heat yet, just threw one of the heat pumps on in the living room to take the chill off. This does however keep me out of the "no heat November" club.

for once i agree with you. I would put odds on that not happening. Long range forecasts are BS, but i might buy into looking at temps a week or so out. Long range temps look marginal to so-so for late November.

so you are trying to join the "no heat november" club that NMSKI is the president of? I turned my heat on Sunday night for a little. it was like 62 in my house.

And keep in mind, i like boats. If somehow, someway, someone conned me into going on a cruise, i would be the one wanting to see the engine room, steer the ship, work the throttles, etc. When i was younger my friends family was big into boats. they were in a club that organized cruises. one year i went with them from OCNJ down to the Chesapeake area. Stayed at a bunch of different marinas, had a frickin blast. There were 4 people on that boat. Thats more like it.

i have zero interest in getting on a boat with 4,000 other people and bobbing around the ocean.

i thought they would have sort of tried to keep up with Kmart. Of course, weather permitting. To me, them announcing an opening date of november 16th says they are taking the safe route, not real concerned about what Kmart is up to.

Okemo says they are shooting for an opening day of November 16th. That kind of surprises me. i really thought they would have tried to go real aggressive with their snowmaking.

Im just throwing out some info here. i'm not into long range forecasts. At this point though, i do think its a safe bet to say Blue will definitely most likely be open probably in December.
