I get that, i do. But i do also see how hard it would be to open your doors at the end of the season, when ticket sales are already going down, just to make "people happy". Keep in mind, we all just bought a pass for the least amount of money ever. And there is no way your cheap ass would open anything if you werent going to make a buck.

Nah. They announced the 8th would be the last day, pond skim is scheduled, they have little incentive to open that weekend. There is no guarantee that they will sell enough tickets to make it worthwhile. We had this converstation this weekend....they need to learn how to extract money from season passholders on these late season weekends. Like a grill outside selling burgers, dogs, beer......maybe by scantily clad women.......whatever works. We should probably just be lucky our season was as long as it was. Businesses need to make money. I support Businesses being able to make money. I have to make decisions like this to basically not work when the weather sucks, so i get to piss people off just as much, but businesses need to make money to stay open.

Tomorrow will be way better. This morning was the second time this season i took off a friday to go skiing after 2 days of rain. Pretty much the same conditions both times, which i really thought would be better. Some soft snow, some soft snow with ice chunks mixed in, some ice patches, and some straight up water logged snow, and yeah, some bare spots. If they groomed last night, or this morning conditions would have been significantly better, but i think they groomed tuesday(?) night after the rain. Eaf should stay far away from Challange, that might be interesting tomorrow, and probably off limits next weekend. So much snow on Razors and NMDW.

Deer Valley, Park City, and Jackson Hole close the 8th as well, in case that makes anyone feel better.

If you are going to get uptight about skiing over rocks, at this point in the season, you should just hang your shit up. It aint gonna get better. Did you go complain to the people at Mountain Creek, or do you just complain constantly online?

Not sure where you are getting that forecast from, but i would lean more towards rain, freezing rain and sleet.

I will never understand people that define a ski resort by how the parking lot looks. If money is to be spent at a resort, i would hope it would be on the mountain, not out in the parking lot. Blue is different. Some might call it kind of fucked up, but it is our kind of fucked up. Learn to embrace that.

Airports and food are overrated. While you are at the airport enjoying one of your 3 hr layovers, at least sign up for the southwest credit card. you will be amazed by how much better southwest is.

The only problem with the turnpike is if you are on it and it gets fucked up, you are stuck there. Cant turn around, cant just jump off to take some back roads. They normally do a pretty good job on the roads though.

These are all things that went through my mind as well. 70 miles home today would be tough. i thought there were more people on the roads this morning than there should have been. Thats what happens when you wake up and not much precip is falling. Excuses, excuses. still wish i was there. Oh, and of course my meeting never happened.
